I'm planning to buy a charger for my zenfone 2 laser ze550k, coz my chord was damaged , on my original charger adapter, input was 0.25A and output 1.35A , the charger that I'm planning to buy has an input of 0.5A and output 2A , is it okay to use that? Even though the input and output is different from the original charger? will it damage my battery?
My adapter was fine, can i just get the chord of the one i will buy and use my original adapter? Will it affect the charging?

Google are charging USD$20 for a country specific ac adapter. i'm wondering if i can omit this and use the supplied US charger + a travel adapter to save myself some $$?
or simply stick to usb charging from a computer?
or even usb charging from the wall via an apple ac/usb adapter?
*edit* sorry, i just found this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612959
mods pls remove this if neccessary. thanks =0)
Those of us in Singapore would prefer to just get an AC to USB power adapter from the shops. US$ 20 is expensive!
Hello everyone
when i purchased my tab 3 months ago, it came with a charger [with the permanent cord] but not the travel one [i refer to the other charger which has a usb type slot]. a dont know if all p6800 has this type of charger since i saw some having the usb type wall charger.
now, my stock charger malfunctions and sometimes it charges and sometimes it doesnt [i think there might be a connection problem] now my problem is that, the mains charger [usb type] seems expensive to me [about $62.00 for the head only]. is there any alternative mains charger that is cheaper? and if i buy a non-samsung charger, will it affect the battery of my tab?
thanks
mine: looks like this.
I often use a dual usb port charger that I have and it seems to work fine.
It has an 1 Amp output.
Hi,
I bought PowerGen 3.1A Wall Charger, when I use with original Micro USB cable that come with my Samsung Galaxy S4, the charging current is 1.9A, when I use with a generic USB cable, the charging current is only 700mA. (I have a way to test the charging current)
Does anyone know which Micro USB cable that carry fast current, such as 1.9A like original USB Cable that come with S4, or even better, carry up to 3.1A that this Wall charger provides?
Thanks All.

Faster charging is enabled in the kernel, not by a cable bro.
Hi,
you have to look for custom kernel with fast charging support. I am using faux123 with fauxclock app.

Anyone know how this would be charged in the UK? Are there special USB-C chargers, would a shaver adaptor work with that 2 pin charger the phone comes with?
I already have a USB 3.1 hub with charging ports so using the cable on it's own should be fine just want a plug charger for in the work.
I live in the UK, my two prong adapter is plugged into a shaver/euro adapter and it works fine.
Thanks for that, just wondered if a shaving adaptor would be able to handle the power required but I suppose a shaver's power requirements are probably comparable to a phone
Go to Sainsburys. You can buy a European to UK adapter, rated at 10watts. Lot safer than shaver plugs
BTW I read yours has not come yet. Mine came with a separate box, I wasn't expecting with a proper UK charger in. I looked at the zuk official website and they have the fast charge ones for this - 5.3v +2amps. Or might be 3amps..the one that is in the box is not a fast charge. I got some plugs off Amazon that send power down the data usb wire. They just plug in line and help alot
Hi guys one question about powerbank... I have 3 anker and they all have micro USB port to charge the smartphone and i usually charge the powerbank from the normal USB port. Since the s8 has USB-c do i have to buy an adaptor USB-c to micro USB or i can Just use a normal cable USB to USB-c like the One coming with the s8? Thanks!
You can use any cable as long as you end up connecting the USB-C to the S8 and whatever it is the connector for the powebank output.
