Could not power On - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I just received a new x727 phone but I could not power it on. It seems it is out of battery so I charge it for about two hours and it still could not be powered on. The weird thing is that when I plug in the charging cable the red light on the upper-right corner start to flash but after about 20 minutes. It stops flashing. Is there anyone who can help me with that?

Umm... did you record the unboxing and first boot? Did you record it while it was charging? You really should have, especially if you bought the phone from Banggood/Geekbuying et al. They're all shady resellers and you absolutely need to have video evidence of defects on hand. Otherwise they'll ignore you.
Contact the seller you bought it from immediately and ask for a refund/open a Paypal dispute. Tell them you didn't modify the phone in any way and that it arrived defective. Then discharge the battery, recharge it and hope for the best.

[Q] Is my HD2 broken?

Hi everyone. New here so I look to you for answers. I bought my HD2 about 2 weeks after they came out. Used it for about a month and started using a couple different phones for a while. My HD2 sat on my desk with the battery out of it for about 3 months before I decided to use it again last night. Last night I plug it in to charge and no charging light and it wouldn't turn on. I let it sit all night and still nothing in the morning. I took it to the t-mobile store and they tried a different battery and charger and still nothing. They suggested to call customer service since it is still under warranty. I have not flashed any ROMs or or changed it from stock in any way. Any suggestions before I go the customer service route? I searched the forums and could not find any answers to my specific issue. I appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thanks!
What kind of charger are you using? It sounds like your battery is completely dead, and to get it to charge you MUST use a charger that outputs 1amp. The stock charger provides this, but most 3rd party ones don't. Try using the stock charger for a couple of hours, and if that doesn't work, you will probobly need to jump start your battery using a common 9-volt battery. If it comes down to that let me know and I can walk you through the process.
I used the stock charger that was packaged with the phone. I think you are right that it is completely dead. How would I go about jump starting it? Thanks again!
Its fairly simple really. You need a 9 volt battery, and 2 peices of wire. Simply attach one end of each wire to the 9 volt somehow(tape, wrap the ends around it etc...) and then put the other ends of the wires to positive and negative on your HTC battery, observing positive 9 volt to positive HTC battery of course. You will more than likely have to hold the wires to the HTC battery, which is fine, just dont let them touch each other or you will risk shorting out and/or bursting your 9 volt. Anywho, hold them there for 2-5 minutes. If your HTC battery begins to get warm STOP immediately, let it cool down, then put it back into your HD2 and charge it with the stock charger. While the 9 volt battery doesnt supply as much amperage as the charger, it does provide more volts of course(9-ish versus 5) and can cause the battery to overheat and in some cases melt. After no more than 5 minutes, your battery should have 2-3% of a charge, which is enough for it to be recognized by the phone, and enough for it to be charged by the wall charger. The overcharge preventing circuitry is the reason why you sometimes have to do this trick, if the battery becomes completely discharged(less than 0% power) the overcharge circuitry recognizes it as being fully charged, or faulty and therefore will not supply it with power. Try that, and see what happens! And if nothing does, let me know and I will tell yah the next step.
Worked perfectly. Thanks so much for your help. I knew I'd find the answer on XDA.
No problem friend, glad I could help you get it back up and running!

New Battery problem :/

Hello
So i bought a new battery and replaced the old one.
I then had the flashing red led, i got it to download mode, plugged it into my pc and then the red flashing stopped and now it looks like its hardbricked :/ does anyone have a solution or have an exprience like it?
It is a nexus 4 rooted with cm 12.1 and twrp (can't remember which)
The flashing red LED probably means that the battery is completely drained.
Plug it into a 2.0 amp charger for a few hours and see what happens.
If you give it enough time to charge, and it is an aftermarket battery, especially from Ebay, there are a ton of garbage worthless batteries out there. I picked an Ebay battery, but one with good reviews here on XDA.

Can you give us a link? I was thinking about replacing my battery as well.
I did the charger port/mic/LED replacement last week and it was super-easy, so I may as well give the battery a try as well.

First thing, if you can get the real LG battery, just get it from LG. Unfortunately in the US, you have to send the phone in for repair.
So, here is the thread I went by:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/accessories/to-buy-original-battery-t3110029
From that thread I bought this battery and it works OK:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/252122662276?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

New battery issues: can't calibrate, only boots via bootloader, won't complete reboot

Hi all, first time poster.
My Nexus 4 has been displaying behaving wacky. I've tried searching a ton, but can't find any posts with this collection of symptoms. Here's the story, please bear with me.
Two days ago I replaced the battery, left it charging all night, next morning it still would not boot. Every time I would just get the flashing red light. The only way it would boot was if I held volume down + power for 15 seconds, at which point inserting the micro USB cable would get the bootloader up. From there I could boot to android, but it would turn off as soon as I unplugged.
Charging it wirelessly made the battery hold charge, but still it would only boot if I did the 15-seconds-then-cable trick and chose "start" from the bootloader, or help volume Up +power. Simply holding the power button makes the phone vibrate three times and then show the flashing red light.
Once in Android, it would charge via USB and wireless. Debugging, etc. was also working. But if turned off, charging via USB gives the red light, and charging wirelessly doesn't show the white charging icon. Once back in Android, the battery indicator is all over the place, from 98% to 80% to 64%, back to 80%.I've tried calibrating, running the battery down and charging to full, but no change.
Now, every time I send a reboot command, from Android, fastboot, adb, bootloader, recovery, anywhere, the phone turns off but doesn't boot. I have to boot it manually.
At this point I went back to stock, using factory image (flash-all), and even during this I had to boot manually every time the script was <waiting for device>.
After a few more wipes and roms, I settled on Chroma (stock kernel, radio).
The system is running fine, but all the issues explained above persist.
Any ideas getting the battery to read properly? And what's with it only booting via bootloader or volume up + power. How about charging while off?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sounds like the battery is defective or something went wrong during the battery replacement.
The red light flashing when connected to a charger indicates that the battery is fully discharged.

Thanks for the reply.
The phone charges (seemingly) normally when it's on, USB or wireless. But even at full battery, if I try to charge it via USB (computer or wall), I get the flashing light and no charge. Wireless works.
What could have gone wrong during replacement to cause this? Me actually messing up the hardware, shorting something?
My only option now seems to be buying another battery and testing whether it behaves differently.
Does the old battery work at all? If it does, you could try putting back the old battery.
Where did you get the replacement? I know that new oem replacement batteries are very difficult to obtain.
The old battery was totally shot. I bought the new one off of Amazon, but yeah total crap shoot if it's any good until you install it.
I'm just trying to rule out possible firmware and software issues before I gamble on another one.
So you think a dud battery could cause all of this stuff, from charging to booting issues?
Yup, I think it's is the battery. According to many people, the batteries on Amazon are not oem.

So, I'm just going to return this one and try to get a legit OEM.
For those on the same boat as me: I contacted LG United States and they directed me to https://www.encompass.com/ for parts.
They were not able to find the battery based on phone information, so I gave them the code printed on the actual battery I removed, EAC61898601 LLL. The battery cost US$28 plus $8 shipping (not the $9 I paid on Amazon). It's currently on a 5-day back order, not terrible I suppose.
I'll update here when I've re-replaced the battery.
Hi @dreamsignals. Did you receive and install the battery? How did it go?
I'm at the point where I need a new battery too, and I'm hoping you found the real deal and the install went well.

Sounds good. Finding and obtaining a legit battery for this phone is a bit of a monumental feat. Seems like installing it is the easy part in comparison

Believe or not, the OEM I ordered the battery from back in November called me a couple of weeks back to say they finally had it in stock. Alas, it got lost on the way and never arrived. Waiting for a second shipment now. It's like a bad drawn-out joke, ha.
Anyways, it's back in stock if anybody is looking. I can't yet give feedback on whether it works. https://www.encompassparts.com/item/10742494/LG/EAC61898601/Rechargeable_Battery,lithium_P

We'll all be retirement age by the time these batteries arrive ; )
Maybe pin 2 battery connector broken. What is the battery temperature in ampere app ? When pin 2 broken not showing correct percentage and battery temperature. If can't read battery temperature or percentage correctly, phone can only boot via bootloader. Posibble you broken battery connector jack motherboard phone when disconnecting old battery. Or it's problem only new battery (inside battery or battery connector flex cable). Try to push battery connector by finger and hold, if percentage showing ok, you are broken pin 2 on motherboard phone and must been repair by professional. Watch this video

having the same problem with a battery I just got replaced. Wish I read here before installing a new one
Didn't knew that Nexus detects where is an original battery or not. I guess it's not. Damn....

Sorry to revive an old thread,
Did you ever recieve the battery? How is it? What's the date code on it?
I wonder if these batteries are re manufactured or pulled from recycled phones.

Device temperature too low, can't charge oneplus 5

I own an OnePlus 5 that I have used for a couple of months with stock OOS and locked bootloader and unrooted. I have always used an original dash charger and cable. However, few days ago the phone became unresponsive to the charger and after the battery died. When I reconnect the charger now, it gives a message that device temperature too low, can not charge and when I turn it on the battery shows 50% charge when I remove the charger it turns off after a short while. The phone didn't suffer any drop or water damage or any other kind of accident. The phone is not under warranty so, I need to find a way to charge the phone. I have searched for the problem on many forums and some point out to a faulty temperature sensor on the battery and others point to the daughter charging board while some say there's an issue with the motherboard. Is there anyone who could troubleshoot the problem precisely.
Or, Is there a way, to flash a custom kernel which could turn off the temperature sensor on the battery, if it's there.
Also, needed to know that will the problem go away after a battery replacement?
I have wiped cache and data, downgraded the phone from Pie to Oreo and nothing seemed to work. Some people suggested putting it to rest for 24 hours, I also did that, but to no avail.
seems like the thermistor in the battery died ,i suggest to swap the battery with a new one

Are you sure that the temperature sensor is located on the battery or inside the battery? Because, if I buy a new battery that would mean I can not get it replaced if the issue is not with the battery.
I have to order it online as the battery is not available in the local market.

Sorry for being overly cautious about the issue. I have searched some forums where people couldn't get the issue resolved even after changing the battery.
Still, I am thankful regarding your input and replies.
But is there, a custom kernel available where the battery sensor could be bypassed for the cell to charge?
Before buying anything or opening the phone yourself contact OnePlus. If the phone is under warranty probably they will take care of it. (even if, many times, the battery doesn't have the same warranty as the rest of the phone)

i haven't faced this issue on the op5 ,but in the past i have faced it in other phones (not charging with battery is too cold message)either way a replacement is pretty cheap i would go for it ..(i don't think it's a good idea trying to dissable it ,the same sensor is responsible for the current that the battery is receiving so i don't think you can dissable it at all because the phone will not know at what amps to charge the battery,i bet it won't charge or extremely it will become galaxy note 7 bomb :silly: )

Dear the problem is that the phone is not covered under any warranty. I purchased it locally from a shop that doesn't provide warranty for any phone. I live in Pakistan, I tried contacting OnePlus but seems like they don't have any official stores in Pakistan. I guess, there's a service centre with whom they have partnership for services.
I guess, I have to contact them.

Hi, just curious about the update on this one? I've also encountered the same issue on my OP5 and still waiting for the battery replacement I ordered hoping that it is a faulty battery.
I didn't have the low temperature issue but my charging port did start to fail so I replaced it and the battery last month. The hardest part is getting the back off. The screen snaps in much tighter than most phones I've worked on which were glued shut.
I got my parts from E-Trade supply but I never will again. The charging port I got for an iPhone 6 I'm repairing was defective and they would only credit the part and not the $22 in shipping I paid them. They eventually did, but only because I bought several items over the past few years and I started putting up bad reviews on them. Never again.
The parts for the OnePlus 5 were okay although the brand new battery is only at 91% health. The original 16 month old one was 83% still a gain.
Hey brother, did the battery replacement fix the issue?? I have been having the same problem since today morning.
[Update] Was able to bring my OP5 to a local tech who is trusted to fix OnePlus devices but unfortunately the problem on my phone is with the motherboard. Tech already tried replacing the battery as well as the charging port to no avail, so I may have to stick with my OnePlus 5 permanently connected to a power source while I wait for the upgrade(OnePlus 7) to be released.
The same thing with me, I trying now to fix this, but... I can,t
Mobo issue
After almost a month with the local tech, he was able to order a spare part for the issue with my OP5 motherboard. Fingers crossed hoping that it will be fixed within this week, it already cost me $100 :crying: I'll update on which part needs to be replaced if the issue is with the motherboard itself.

[UPDATE] A Battery replacement by OnePlus solved my problem. It also fixed certain other issues I was having like 3hr SOT, random shutdowns before reaching 0% etc. Cost me ₹1600 (around $22.5)

Good luck. I hope your issue gets fixed soon
Man I paid about the same for the battery and replaced it myself. But at least I didn't have to send it away. Unfortunately my only other phone (HTC one M8) doesn't work on my carrier.
[Update] My OP5's alive and kicking again. It cost me $40 for the board to be fixed, $60 for the front glass replacement.
Here's the pic of what was replaced on the motherboard
Sad to hear this is still going on with OnePlus phones. I had this problem with my 3T. Replaced everything, except the motherboard. I'm figuring it's that, but at this point I don't care. A replacement is anywhere from $80 to $150. You could buy a new 3T outright for that price.

Phone randomly shutdown around 50% battery

I bought a new OEM battery in 4/20. I don't know why the battery drain very quickly and cause random shutdown and it doesn't boot up if i am not plug it in charger. Does it a faulty hardware or bad battery? (I have replaced thermal paste once)
Can you guys take pics of your oem battery for me to compare mine please. Thank you.
Sorry for my bad English
Same problem here. Pretty sure some of these batteries are junk. Wonder if there is a way to test them when you get a new one with enough evidence to be able to return it right away if it doesnt pass.
