Pixel Mod - Lineage OS 15 - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Does anyone know how to port pixel ui (pixel navbar with animation, blue accent color, circular icons, etc...) into any lineage os 15 based ROM?

Yes, I had. But those versions were based o lineage os 14.1 and now u can't edit framework-res.apk too get the rounded icons on pixel launcher. In Android's page they adress this, but I'm with some doubts in how to do it.

Maybe you don't know it, but LineageOS 15 is still in early development and not every basic function is working. So your question/request is a little bit low priority.

[Request] - Pixel 2 mod for our kenzo Oreo

Hello guys, since I saw pixel 2 launcher I I've been thinking in creating a pixel mod for our kenzo that would pixelize our kenzo with just one flushable zip.
Unfortunately although I study computer engineering my knowledge to do that is not enough. Can some dev look at this plz ! thx in advance. love to every single dev :fingers-crossed:
Why, don't we already have a pixel mod? And there's not much difference in the pixel and its succesors ui's.
I think we already have most things like
1.Pixel UI
2.Launcher and live wallpaper
3.Camera(at least like pixel)
What else is there??

the idea is to simplify with one zip only.
The pixel mod that already exist is only for nougat I think.

We already have two ROMs with pixel 2 features (even ambient display). All we need extra are the launcher, wallpaper and the camera. Is that such a big deal??

System Wide Round UI

You may be already know what i am asking it can be seen on Havoc and AeX Roms. Is there a way to make the UI have rounded corners on ROM?

Look for adaptive icons in settings, if that isn't available use Nova, it has adaptive icons
Round
Square
Rounded square
Etc
You can also modify the look with icon shapes in Nova settings

I do believe the original poster was asking about rounded corners throughout the UI, not icon shapes. Though I may have missed what was in his deleted post. Besides apps like Roundify, some substratum themes do okay with rounding corners also. I suppose he could try those, too.

Oh, I see.
I did misread the post, I apologise.
I wasn't thinking about rounded UI corners

Does substratum cause battery drain or slow perfomans

No, I don't think it does. Not enough to matter anyway. Of course ultra bling type themes might not help much. I'd rather have a little drain than blinding white apps.

Substratum Navbar themes?

Wow, I don't remember the last time I created a thread, lol! Are there any OOS 9 substratum themes for the navbar themes? The one comprehensive theme I found doesn't quite have OOS 9 support and I just figured out why that is lol. Anyone following a particular developer that plans on releasing a navbar theme?
I'm just wondering for themes in general, I can't get mono/art to work at all.

I just tried swift black with the emrald accent and everything is navy blue and orange. What should the system theme be set to before the substatum, I think I messed up having it on dark already.

Nav bar apps in play store will theme navbar.
I tried the navbar apps, but the 6T memory management seems to keep killing the app. Super annoying with 8 god damn GB of RAM. I set the navbar to amoled black, and it eventually reverts back to default.

Tweak the battery & background settings (do not optimize or restrict),allow it to display over other apps & it should stay on.
Also,lock it in recents.

Thank you! Just checked the screenshots, and I noticed it also has those rounded pull-down menu buttons. What's the deal with that? I prefer icons that look like this. Is that an option on Havoc?

Yeah I see what you mean the one you show is like lineage pull down menus. On havoc it's built to look like Pie icons although havoc is oreo.I think it looks smart especially neon green against black ui.I never tried changing them as I don't customize much but that aside Havoc with Twister kernel has the highest benchmark of any J5 2016 41k plus

Thanks. I do agree speed and stability are the most important factors at the end of the day. Although aesthetics come second . What I don't like with this design is how text is broken under the icons.

Thank you. Which one do you find faster?
I'm running DotOs Oreo right now, and it's sometimes slow, System UI crashes occasionally, and it has this super annoying lag when switching from wifi to mobile data.

Try bootleggers pie rom. Well maintained and really fast
And also loads of different dark themes for the ui

The fastest is Havoc followed by AEX extended.Dot is a nice rom.The key to these oreo roms running fast are the kernels and the two I use will benchmark 4000-5000+on antutu over stock kernels and you won't find them here on xda.

Thanks. How does screen dimming work on Pie? I always found the darkest to be too bright at night, and on Oreo the official screen dimming apps didn't work anymore because they didn't have the permission to draw over Android UI like notifications. So now I'm using an Xposed module that does the trick but, as far as I know, there is no Xposed for Pie.

White notifications on a dark theme. WTF? When will you finally fix it, devs??? LOS16

I see you've been updating the firmware for my phone every single day. But there are still those white notifications on the dark theme. Please fix it in LOS 16, even Havoc OS (based on 8 and 9 android) sends you dark notifications if you choose dark theme, but your LOS 16 still can't do it. Fix it PLEASE. It looks so ugly! Thanks for the firmware anyway but it was just a cry from the soul. Yes I know it will be fixed on LOS 17, but how about LOS 16, please? I hope that developers read this forum :crying:

Agree with you. I set up a dark wallpaper and then set up black system theme but notifications from the apap come up on a white background. I rebooted but nothing changed. I would even call it a BUG. I used pixel experience and all be with their dark theme, background was also dark
I agree
