So I have both 2k15 and 17. The 15 worked great the 17 kept getting stuck at 37%. I tried restarting, clearing cash data etc, you know the drill, nothing worked. I gave up and turned on my vpn to start using the device. Lo and behold it started downloading and as im typing this its installing. I was about to reset the device and this saved me a ton of time, so I wanted to share with you guys.

My transformer was running fine this morning, it had something like 8% when i woke up and used it until it died. I plugged it in to charge and it booted fine. I unlocked it, powered off and went on with my day.
I get home about an hour ago and now it's such in a boot loop. It first shows Eee Pad, then the bios boot animation (it's running prime 2.1.1), followed by the Android guy with spinning gears and back to the nips boot animation.
Don't know why this would happen all of a sudden. The last thing I flashed was the prime 2.1.1 patch, and that was back when it was first released. Can't think of any apps that require root that i have installed recently.
I tried wiping the cache and dalvik cache via recovery along with repairing permissions. Also reinstalled prime 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 patch and still boot looping.
Any suggestions? I would do a logcat but I'm currently at my gf's place.
I'd like to keep a factory reset as the last resort, so i would like to exhaust all options before doing so.

Is anyone else having problem download the ICS OTA update? Mine gets stuck between 79% and 85%. I have tried 3 times so far. Tried rebooting as well but none of it seems to work. Is it just due to the server load or I am in trouble! Gosh.. have been waiting for so long for this update and now that it's finally here, this **** is happening!
Don't feel too bad. Mine is stuck at the "android" screen and keeps flashing the android logo and not going anywhere
Mine too, any suggestions?
Ok, so here's what I had to do to get the update working:
1. Rebooted the tablet - > Didn't work
2. Deleted the WiFi connection (since I was getting network error) and tried again -> Worked but stuck at installation part.
3. Factory Reset -> Worked!
Any or combinations of the above might work you as well.
Hi all,
So yesterday I got the alert to update my nexus 7 (2012) unrooted tablet to 4.3.3 which I did. Unfortunately after downloading the update, when restarting to install, an error message came up with the android dude lying on his back and the word ERROR above him.
I restarted the tablet and everything worked fine apart from the fact that the tablet hadn't updated, which I could live with.
Earlier today I went to open the play store but it wouldn't load, the app just said no connection and there was a retry button. Wifi was working fine as I could play other games that need the internet, check twitter etc. So I decided to switch my tablet off and on again.
After turning on, the nexus animation logo comes up (with the 4 colours) and the tablet gets stuck on this page - it won't progress further and actually load android - I've no idea why this is happening. I haven't attempted to root the tablet or anything previously, only ever carried out OTA updates.
Any idea on what I can do please?
Thanks
I don't suppose anyone has any idea's on how I can get my nexus up and running again despite it getting stuck on the animation screen when I first turn it on?
The same happened to me. I had an error while installation of 4.4.3 . Since then, the device reboots, shows me the lock screen for 1-2 seconds and reboots, again and again. I tried the unbricking method with no success till now.
Thanks for the reply.
I managed to get my tablet working by using adb to unlock the bootloader and install the stock ROM again.
Then I locked the bootloader using adb and left it at that.
Only thing was the tablet factory reset itself in the process so I lost all my data etc. Id didn't have a backup which is my own fault I guess.

Good day everyone.
I lost my cellphone, so I started using this Nexus 4 that my brother had left, I factory reset it, then started using it, an update came up, around 18MB i guess?
anyways, it worked great for the first 2 weeks, then due to low battery, got turned off, I turned it on and it got stuck at the Boot, restarted a few times and it worked.
same thing happened again, until it started getting stuck at bootloop.
tried factory reset through recovery, it worked once, but then again, once I restarted the phone, it'd be bootlooping.
so I tried flashing the Phone, to 5.0 from 5.1, thinking, it'd solve the issue but it didn't.
Now, the cellphone, is i guess, bricked or something? I'm new to all these.
any solutions?
TL;DR
Flashed Nexus 4 - Stops at Bootloop, no matter I try to factoy reset it, or flash it or anything.
is there any chance it'd be fixed or is the phone done?

Try wait little more time. I must wait 20 minutes but with another situation and it boot up. Give also information about rom and kernel which you use (build version too of both) will be easy.
Did a wipe cache partition which didn't help, later wiped to factory reset via recovery mode which helped to regain the device access.
How ever the device was running on stock android on android 6. It just rebooted automatically and never came up. Though as said about factory reset helped.
The optimization took me more than 30min. I just left it and did my jogging.
