Overheating - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Do you experience overheating on ZE550KL? Or is it just me? Temps go up from 41 - 57 degrees celcius even without gaming. Just browsing and using wifi.
And if someone has a fix for this, please tell below the reply section. It's okay if it includes updating, changing custom roms, installing kernels, etc etc. Thank you very much!

46°C isn't really overheating, and it happens to me also when I'm playing Bad Biggies, also sometimes when I'm charging. As far as I know, there is nothing we can do about it, though some people have said that its better to take the back case off when you're playing.

Thanks for reply.
But before i rooted my phone and started to test different ROMs my temperature was OK i mean like 35 while playing.
And my android always warns me
(i think that 46 is really hot cus on battery it says that its better to keep temperature below 45c and its really hot when 46)
I even tried to use setCPU to use less Mhz but it didnt help
btw i use 3.0.8 kernel (if this matters)

Some ROMs overclock your device. btw, what are your CPU clocks at the moment? Also, if you live in warm countries, that might explain the overheating.

[Q] S4 i9500 heating problem

Im getting at an average of 34 degrees at normal use on my brand new s4, bought it on 21st aug..
Now i know there are alot of threads out there on solutions for this heating problem, but none of them
are working for me atleast. So is there anyone who can tell me a NEW solution to my problem, i have
tried the known fixes..
34 degrees in normal usage ... that's good ... there's no solution to that ... solutions u may found refer to 40+ problems ... u just have to deal with it as all of us do ...or try a custom kernel with some undervolting to see if this helps ... or else buy a case so u don't feel it ...
Well, it certainly isn't, because im talking about 34 degrees on opening something as simple as the gallery, when i run a game the temperature surpasses 40 degrees..
Also, im on arrow rom and using adam kernel, but the phone is still heating like hell...
Hence, if there is any other new solution, please help me and the others facing this problem, thank you

i9500 overheating

Sorry if the same subject has been already posted but dunno why i can't use the search(every time i click it redirects me to the same page)
so,my question is ,is there any fix for this? I find the phone imposible to hold in hand after couple minutes of browsing or gaming. Is there a software fix, like a kernel or smth? Or just hardware like coolers.
I have it since last thursday and im not satisfied at all with this issue.
thanks
buy a case ... so u can hold it
I have one,the sview flipcover. But is this overheating a serrious issue,i got temps of 40°C when heavy gaming.Should I be worried?

If u only get temps around 40°C when heavy gaming not only u shouldn't be worried but u should be happy most users get 50+
I was video calling on skype and checking something on the browser around 50°C is what i got ... it's uncomfortable but normal for the s4

I got the undervolt from Adam kernel so maybe this is why. So my probl is solved,i tought i have a replica or fake gs4. Thanks
So i discovered that 40°C was the temp for batt(stupid app) and the cpu tem was actually 67°C !! I played real racing 3 for like 30 minutes. So,i ask again, should I worry about this?
I m not a gamer myself to be sure about this ... but from what i ve heard that's normal too
which firmware do u have?

MG 9,with MG9 modem
You can try disable samsung link and hub, the phone usually cool down a little.
The only way i find to really solve this is flashing a custom rom, now its around 40/45º. Way better than previously 50/55º.

Instead of posting a bunch of pictures, please upload an idle dump from better battery stats(min 6h deep sleep without any usage) and explain exactly what are you worry about.
Most wakelocks on your screenshots are necessary ones without your phone won't be a smartphone.
Also please consider this thread for information https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/op5-battery-life-thread-t3624705
Let me know how to do that and I will.
All the topoc i found were of people poating pics like me.

Ok, you forgot the rom, version, modifications, kernels etc: your setup.
So far the idle drain is high with 1.2%/h and lost 12% over night, but you have 15min screen usage(what you did in that time? ). So the dump can be not that accurate for idle analyzes...
Please try to unplug your device and do not use is, let it sleep over night.
Latest XXX rom, stock kernel from the rom.
I used the device 15 minutes before sending the dump files.

High battery usage on every rom (~2hrs SOT, ~30%drain per hour)

I've tried a lot of ROMs including rr, Invicta, lineage and even stock ROMs but all of them have the same problem, the battery drains way to fast
Ive even tried replacing the battery, that only helped a little. I've pretty much tried every thing by now and nothing seems to go me any battery improvements.
What could be the reason, should I just give up and live with it till the phone's dead?

Please provide a dump file according to this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 to see what's happening(maybe).

If you can't spend $2.50 on an app that will likely help you, you're hopeless...

I don't think its good to call someone hopeless cause he isn't spending 2.5 bucks. It's very offensive. And @strongst why are you thanking this post?
Pls refrain from calling people so.

He's supporting the developer of bbs, im not supporting anything other.
And the price is very fair for lifetime use and there's no other alternative with the that amount of usability.
Yeah battery drain is amazing!! And is worst when you play Clash Royale or anyone game.
I greenify apps, debloat rom, block wakelock and alarms with Amplify and My Android Tools Pro but results is the same, too heat like a hell!!

I understand that there is no other replacement for it, but in his post, nowhere has he mentioned the dev of BBS. Anyways, this is not my matter, but please refrain from making such comments
