Cannot un-systemize / uninstall Pixel-launcher - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I've installed the Pixel-launcher apk and made it as system app through Titanium Backup.
Now I wanted to uninstall it again, but it is not working. I can un-systemize through Titanium, but it still shows as systemized app in the settings.
When I try and uninstall through Titanium it gives me the error "apk not found" even if I try and force uninstall through safety loophole.
Any ideas what I can do?
I want to uninstall to install the rootless Pixel launcher from GitHub
Thanks
Manu

make a titanium backup of snapschat when you don't have xposed installed and then restore it when you install xposed, the snapchatr app uses keywords to detects root(eg su superuser chainfire rovo xposed)

Titanium Backup stopped working - fixed

Hi
TB gave me an error this morning saying there wasn't enough space to back up. There is plenty of space and its running the latest version for Oreo.
I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but now fails to even load, just says Titanium Backup has stopped.
Renamed the backup folder, deleted all remaining files but still failing.
Any thoughts?
XXX FIXED = flashed ElementalX kernel and all is working again!

Please post your comments issue here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2717159 or in the Q&A section as it's the wrong section you've posted (no bug report, only posting apps/themes) and also not a general rom problem.
Some questions:
Did you tried to wipe the caches within twrp?
Have you the pro version?
Did you flashed titanium backup in twrp or only installed through play store?
When you were able to start it did you tried to link the backup folder within settings again?
Do you have supersu?

After uninstalling, use a file explorer and go to /data/data/ (or/data/app/) folder. There, find the Titanium Backuo folder and delete it. Then reinstall and profit.

Try the method I wrote in the past post, it worked for me to make the app open again.
Regarding the not enough space error, if rooted with SuperSU, go to SuperSU settings and turn off "Mount namespace separation".

Interesting. I've had this issue but a simple restart fixed it for me. It seems it can go much deeper.

I'm using Magisk and worked fine for a recent rebuild.

Did you tried to wipe the caches within twrp? - yes
Have you the pro version? - yes
Did you flashed titanium backup in twrp or only installed through play store? - installed both through store and apk.
When you were able to start it did you tried to link the backup folder within settings again? - does not start so unable to get into settings
Do you have supersu? - no, never needed it before

Ok thanks, with the question
"Did you flashed titanium backup in twrp or only installed through play store? - installed both through store and apk."
I mean if you flashed the recovery flashable zip of twrp instead of installing it the apk from playstore or with package installer?
Flashed TWRP manually and then installed the app from store

Just want to share that after many attemps trying to make it working i finally got it fixed. I wiped dalvik and cache on TWRP and deleted the titanum folder at "/data/data " and it worked. Previously i tried just deleting titanium folder at "/data/app/" but it wasn't working.
Lastest versions v8.xx don't active by default all permissions. So if you have a force close when you opening the app, long press on the app icon > App info > Permissions > check all permissions. After that, force close app, open Titanium, it work
Works like a charm. Thanks!

Thanks dude i installed latest version 8.4.0.1 and keeps stoping. Then enabled all permissions from settings/app/Tb worked like a charm. No need to delete data/data or data/app cuz if u uninstall there is nothing left this is useful if someone google it :good:

Titanium Backup-restoring Google Keep failed

I wanted to restore Google Keep(just the app) because I don't like its material design. But whatever I did, it failed. Does Titanium Backup still works restoring system apps or did I do something wrong?
If you just want the app, then go to apkmirror.com and you'll find all versions of almost any apps.
When downgrading, you should uninstall the app first as data files are rarely backwards compatible, in most cases it ends up with app crashing or misbehaving. Then you can restore it via Titanium backup or just from apkmirror as already advised.

I can't uninstall Google Keep because I have it as a system app. I just can disable it.

Disable it - this will uninstall all updates, enable again and install whichever version you want.
Just to clarify:
1.disable google keep
2.download google keep apk(a version I want to have)
3.open the downloaded apk and it will update google keep
Do I understand it well?
1. uninstall updates (restore factory app) - disable app and then enable it again
2. yes, download version from apk mirror or use one from Titanium backup
3. install the apk manually and disable automatic updates in Google play store so you won't be in the same situation in a few days
OK, everything is clear now. Thanks. :good:

Magisk Hide issues on 19.1

hi I have a problem with magisk, when I select applications that I want to hide on magisk hide once the device is rebooted many things don't work properly.
-Youtube vanced crasha at startup
- the su command on the Android Terminal sometimes only works the first time after restarting the phone and gives me the error "system / bin / sh: su: not found"
-swift installer does not apply the theme to some apps
- apps that use root continue to detect it correctly
if I deselect all the apps except play services on magisk hide everything goes back to work.
it just happens to me? I'm on oxygenos 9.0.13

I just Google magisk hide Pokémon go and I guess Pokémon go checks for other root apps. Try hiding more apps or all. If not you can try doing more research to get it working

I found the solution. The problem was caused by the permissions that I had changed on pokemon go with Apps Ops. Thanks

Phone keep trying update Chrome and Android Webview

Trying to update (Release 17 Dec 2019 ) constantly. I disabled and enabled the app didn't work. Clear cache didn't work. Restart phone many times didn't work. Therefore, other applications are not updated cause pending. I should disable chrome and Webview before update other apps. I couldn't uninstall the chrome, it's a system app and I have no root.(It's bull****, the Update all button is always active, there should be cancel all button. I can't resist Android ****s no more iOS winking to me)
Any suggestions?View attachment 4906997View attachment 4907001

You could try to update manually. Download the apps from apk mirror. Or you could try to wipe cache from play store.
