So, I had L31C432B381, and now have EliteROM properly installed as per developer instructions... I want to revert to stock B381 or better B389
I tried everything but i keep failing when flashing through twrp... system and data mounted YES... flashed stock SYSTEM.img, BOOT.img... went from f2fs to ext4... and back to f2fs...
I now understand that I cannot flash stock via twrp, else I get these errors
Installing zip file '/external_sd/update.zip'
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
mountencrypt: failed to mount /data: No such file or directory
Removing unneeded files...
Removing empty directory...
add link type file...
write radio image...
check_write_data_to_partition,write data error
E:unknown command [errno]
update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: Update package from zip failed
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file 'external_sd/update.zip'

...done
so now what should I do? I was told to rollback to MM then flash B389
If this is the only way, which MM build and how? dload + 3 buttons method?

I had some issues when trying to flash xposed and ended up formatting my data with TWRP.
After formatting data, I tried flashing root and xposed again. Xposed flashed fine, but root gave me an error. I thought it was because I hadn't gone through the system setup, so I went ahead and went through the setup and tried again but I'm getting the same error in TWRP.
Could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file.
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/CF-Auto-Root-hero2lte'hero2ltexx-smg935f.zip'
What should I do?
Also, every time I boot in recovery now it asks me to swipe right as if it was the first time.
Thanks!
Bump. I haven't found a single solution to this on Google.

You do not flash CF-Autoroot in TWRP. You extract the zip in Windows and Odin the tar file in order to obtain root.
My problem begins when installing "dm-verity and force encryption disabler". This are the errors it shows:
Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer
Failed to mound 'data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder
....
Unable to mount storage

The partitions seem to be corrupt.
Flash the cf auto root file via odin.
This will restore the stock recovery on your phone.
Then flash twrp via odin.
That's it, this should fix your problem.
You can then flash any rom you want.
Reporting Via N910G.
I had previously been able to flash roms on my ze520kl, had it rooted with magisk running xenon android 8.1
I had some issues with the phone not taking my pin so I attempted to restore and reflash, but nothing had worked so now I've done a full data wipe and its refusing to take any rom zip files including stock.
I've tried reflashing stock boot.img and recovery.img and going back to twrp and reflashing but I keep getting error:7 and its saying that it can't mount /system and /cache
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system at /system: invalid argument
What can I do to fix this? Let me know if you need more info
possibly solved, seems to be flashing from internal storage just fine. I was going from external SD before
I'm running TWRP 3.2.3 on potter and am unable to flash any ROM without receiving an error 255. I'm trying to flash pixel experience (PixelExperience_potter-9.0-20190213-0757-OFFICIAL) to no success. I've tried reinstalling TWRP and I've tried other ROMs, I've even tried formatting all unuseful in fixing the issue. my bootloader is unlocked and all the other standard stuff. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I seem to have tried every troubleshooting method I can find... please help!

Try TWRP version 3.2.3-1. 255 error is usually wrong TWRP version.

still no luck :/
Why does the package say official.xip? Is that a valid zip format? Shouldn't it be .zip?
You will lose your data, but fastboot flash the latest stock firmware, then you re-install latest twrp, and you should then be able to flash custom roms via twrp. I assume you have a back-up of your persist and efs partitions.

Did it work? Or are you still stuck?
Try again, this time NOT selecting signature verification and digest file check.

I have just installed TWRP recovery for PIE while wiping I got this error " failed to mount /vendor (invalid argument" I haven't taken any backup can't copy any file to internal memory how do I flash any rom now? Does any have any backup? .
If you use latest TWRP and non treble ROM, ignore that error and proceed to flashing ROM.
