This plagued my Le Pro3 and Oneplus 3T...It is 100% fine on OOS but when you flash an AOSP/CAF-based ROM there will be a few occasions where the status bar will reflect no signal. It's purely cosmetic but it can be misleading when I'm driving around in an unknown area and not be aware if I can make a call or not while using Android Auto.
Any devs able to chime in? Currently tested RR and it had the issue. I believe all devices are using the same device tree though to build from source. The system is reading 99 ASU which is returning an unknown signal strength which tells the system to display no signal. Any idea where the 99 asu is being read from?

I have had the exact same issue on multiple devices running Lineage or Lineage based ROMs: ZUK Z1, Meizu PRO5 and One plus 5T.
All of them tend to bounce around no bars (ASU 99) and full bars but the network speed doesn't seem to be actually affected.
Meanwhile, all of their stock ROMs, even the ZUK Z1 which ran Cyanogen OS, had always 3-5 bars at all times.
Seems to be a silly visual bug. Anyone knows of a fix?

Not sure what it is, but is has been on many devices. It also displays on the Le Pro3, OP3T, and OP5/5T. I don't know if I have a reliable signal when I'm using Android auto and driving around in an unknown area.

Can anyone explain why I have 100% time without signal in cell standby. I used my phone all day sending texts and making calls. Also, the signal bar is constantly yellow on the battery graph. Should this be green?
Cheers

Confirmed. thanks. very random
Thanks confirmed that temporarily fixes the 100% The captivate did this as well when I had it but always showed 50 percent without signal and you could turn on airplane mode and turn it off to fix it. However that method doesn't seem to work for this but the about phone method does

Got my galaxy yesterday and I have this bug too. I was a little scared because on S1 it meant battery drain. When I woke up this morning I had 99% battery after 9 hours since charging. But I was still curious and thats why Im here.
Glad its nothing serious Hope it will go away when I finally choose a custom rom to flash...
EDIT: just noticed the last reply date, well sorry, found this thread through search. (Hey at least I didnt create a new thread asking the same thing!)
How do I get rid of it?

Hey
my screenshots looks nearly the same and I try to understand this ConnectivityServices too. Any suggestions?

Are we in the wrong Forum?
Connectivityservice
I am also suffering from huge battery drain after flashing CM 10.1 due to ConnectivityService wakelock and ActivityManager wakelock. I have searched on the Internet for a solution but found nothing yet. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I am really frustrated with this problem.
Bump.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30088906&postcount=3
hope it'll help
Also have the same issue on my OnePlus One running Exodus 5.0.2 rom.
Connectivityservice wakelock ongoing for 5 hours, no apps installed other than betterbatterystats. All data is off, set to 2G, no roaming etc. Tried suggestion here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30088906&postcount=3
Didn't help. Tried several radios, neither works. I get great signals, battery graph shows signal strength as green so it's OK and apps like Network Signal Info showed that I'm getting a -60dbm signal which is pretty decent. Still, not sure why I'm getting this wakelock.
On my Galaxy Note 3, I've had similar issues as well running CM or AOSP based roms. However on custom Touchwiz roms, it doesn't exist. Radios are all the same coz the custom roms for Galaxy Note 3 don't touch the radios (I confirmed it's the same anyway using Phone Info). So maybe it's a CM/AOSP thing?

This is a Nexus 4 forum/thread, I'd suggest you either post in the 1+1 forum, or in the BetterBatteryStats thread in Android Apps & Games (with a log). That thread is specialised in wakelock analysis...
I have heard, though, of several 1+1 users mentioning this wakelock recently.
I'm on stock 4.2.1 ROM and Franco r23.
I have my Wi-Fi policy set to "never", which should turn it off when the screen is off and the phone is sleeping.
But it's not doing that and I don't know why?
I use Better Battery Stats and an attaching a couple of screens so that someone can suggest why the Wi-Fi refuses to shut off and allow the phone to truly enter deep sleep. The second screen shot shows that Gmail is the top process in terms of battery usage, so I'm wondering if that's the culprit as gmail sync is always set on push, and can't be changed to any other schedule?
If so, this is a huge oversight by Google.

I have the same issue but worse.
Not only does my wifi not turn off no matter what the setting is, it does shut off my mobile connection.
When I turn on the phone after a long time period I see the mobile connection triangle blacked out and after a few seconds turns back on.
After that the issue continues even when the phone isn't in deep sleep. VERY ANNOYING
But no matter what the wifi is always alive.
Still not sure this isn;t a hardware problem and if it is I'm ruined because I don't live in the states.
Let me know if you find a solution, I'll do the same.
BTW I'm on 4.2.1 stock rom as well .
same here, wifi stays on, even if in deep sleep...

Other strange problem, when I manually disable WiFi, like 2 times in picture, data does not turn on. I have to switch 2G-3G and it connects or airplane.
This is not fair, finally after all those years waiting perfect andorid phone... like someone previously said Nexus 4 is like Bugatti, nice, fast and powerful but only for few miles.
Connected to WiFi today and my phone started downloading the update. Turned off wifi and it stopped at 25%
I would take this Ota but it prevents KitKat roll back. Is there anyway to stop it short of Permenantly staying on 4G?
Also, does anyone have the modem from the latest OTA?
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Free mobile app
The latest OTA is horrible. My note 3 won't get anything higher than 2 bars on 4G and it seems to lag a bit with performance. The battery went from almost 18 hours on a single charge with constant use to 4 hours... if I'm lucky. I've hard reset, discharged, recharged, and nothing replaces the battery drain. I think it's a con by Verizon to get Note3 users to buy a new phone. I don't recommend it, although they did supposedly patch for that silly MMS vulnerability going around. Sad times for Note 3 users... and getting worse.

Hello,
I was enjoying my P8 Lite (ALE-L21) for around 2 years without real problems, but now I am fighting with some strange things. SoT value is really various, sometimes phone can't handle more than 1,5h, and sometimes it reaches 3-3,5h SoT. At the moment, in battery drain info I can see that Screen usage is staying around 70-75%. (90% of time I am using min. brightness) Two months ago, before hard reset, I had same problem and it seemed to be fixed, but now I can see different situation. The last but not least problem is phone beeing sometimes really freezy, I have massive lags e.g. keyboard reaction problems with freezes, websites lags while surfing and switching cards, apps slow opening. I am really confused now what could help me, so I hope for your help guys. Maybe I should try one of customroms or mods (didn't make that before)? My phone is currently running Android 6.0 MM, EMUI 4.03 and build ALE-L21C150B592 (and also t-mobile PL brand).
