On contract?

Sorry, I haven't dealt with a contract in quite some time. I'm a T-Mobile user. Do you probably know much better than I. Bit kudos if that's the actual price.

Would mean locked into AT&T for 2 years. Unless you want to cancel and pay out the rest of the contract.

You do know that contract or not.. You're still in debt to them with a device? A contract your stuck for two years with a upgrade every year. or so.. With T-Mobile new finance option you pay $0 down and they say you're not in a contract. But if you want to leave T-Mobile today or tomorrow you have to pay whatever you owe on that phone still..
So a $800 device with $32 payments every 12 months for two years.. with a upgrade(Jump) once you paid 40% of that device off with the trade in of the current device you have.
Also AT&T has the same options now as they call "Moving away from contracts" with AT&T next. $0 down 12 months finance.
The price in that picture is a two year contract price. The only way to buy that phone off contract from AT&T would be to get on AT&T next. Bring it home and activate it then pay off the device 5 mins later. You can cancel the service after that if you like for free
$299 for the 32gb? damn im not paying $499 for the 128gb

this is exactly why samsung removed the sd card, to sell phones at higher price. if people actually do spend the money on 128gb devices they will practically double their profits because data/memory prices are dirt cheap these days. maybe its time for FCC to start some mobile neutrality like they did for internet providers, to stop companies from gouging consumers.

We dont't know yet. It may be 32/299, 64/349, 128/ 399.
It's the Edge in that pic.
$299 for the 32gb Edge is pretty expected. What were you thinking??
How much was the Note Edge on a 2 year at launch with ATT. $299 was it not?
Hopefully the S6 32gb will be the standard flagship price of $199 on a 2 year ATT.
I'm looking on the website and I can't find it. I'm bout to buy the s6 and s6 edge
Do we have a release date yet? Anybody know, or want to guess, if the T-Mobile model will be fully compatible with AT&T? T-Mobile model is usually easier to root!

Samsung said the release date will be april 10th. They didn't specify any carrier.
Seems like looking at the leaked price, the 32GB edge will be 750 off contract. I have a one plus one and am spoiled by the 64GB it has.. Really don't want to spend 800 on a phone honestly and I want the edge lol

Tmo confirmed on twitter they will launch Edge and S6 on April 10th, which is global launch date. You should just switch to tmo and forget ATT, tmo is faster anyway or get Metropcs, even cheaper and still equal speed!

AT&T bogo

So the wife and I left T-Mobile for AT&T and got the bogo deal for the Note 7's. Has anyone taken their phones back with this bogo deal and been compensated with another bogo deal? I honestly might go back to T-Mobile of I lost this deal because of this recal, thanks in advance.

We have a note on our account saying as such. Grabbed a couple other phones for the time being and plan on picking up new notes next year, hopefully.

I have the same situation - 2 note 7s - one for me and one for the wife using BOGO. I called AT&T today and couldn't get a straight answer. She said it was up to the AT&T corporate store where I bought it.... I told her I wasn't asking for a guarantee of any specific model or the inventory in that store - just is there a corporate policy and she told me it is the discretion of the store...
By BOGO transferred from the first Note 7 replacements as long as I didn't cancel the new line... but I sold the free phone so now I dont know what will happen.

I just went to an AT&T retail store and they wrote off both of my Note 7s. Said they are mine and they don't want them back and I could do whatever i wanted with them. Told me BOGO was still good if I wanted to get any other phones.

I figured this was possible, but probably highly dependent on the rep at the store. Has this happend to anyone else?

BOGO Returns

Has anyone here done a return they bought as a BOGO?
I added a new line and updated my line and not sure where to go from here.
I wanted to see if anyone here has done a return/exchange and see what your options were and how ATT is treating this situation.
Thanks.
Got full refund and extra line canceled at best buy. Could have done the same at an att store here in MD. All contracts canceled and back to my note3.

I guess I would have to go this route also... just sucks that BOGO deal is ruined and I might need to buy 2 phones now.
Also, could I return the S2 Watch since it was more of an accessory?

You can get the bogo deal on the s7 at att if you tell them you had it for the note7. It just makes it a little harder to get the s8 or note8 later.
Sent from my SM-T715Y using XDA-Developers mobile app
I did the BOGO but sold the "free" one. What I'll do is return the one I still have directly to Samsung, get the refund and pay off the device instead of returning to ATT so I don't have to pay off the free one I no longer have.
My dad and I had the bogo deal and it carries over to the LG v20's we got as replacements for our note 7's. According to AT&T as long as both devices are from the same manufacturer they'll honor it
Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
My at&t store said BOGO would only be good for Apple or Samsung. I set my wife on them and ended up getting BOGO lg v20s instead. Told them we hate Apple and were noy going to go with a Samsung phone that was over 9 months old. Ended up getting the Note 7's free as they wanted nothing more to do with them and they refunded my payments I already made.

Well I just bought an ZTE Axon 7 that will last me until the next round of phones get out.
Hopefully when I return my phones, I would get similar good experience.
We have it noted to be able to get a note 8 or other similar phone bogo next year

Sprint Pre-order Waiting and Shipping Room

I didn't see one for Sprint so I figured I would start one. I ordered directly from Sprint. Got the black S8+. I was debating ordering from them or Best Buy but went for Sprint. Hoping I get it before April 21st.
I always go with best buy patiently waiting for the 21st

I ordered a black s8 yesterday from sprint telesales. I'm on the galaxy forever from sprint and apparently over the phone was the only way of processing my order because the system in store and online was trying to charge me the rest of the contract on my s7.

I was having the same exact thing! After multiple hours on the phone, online and in the store. Finally was elevated to retention department and they were able to fix the problem (I think they simply voided the lease). So frustrating since my wife's had no problem upgrading. Glad to hear (although unfortunate) that I wasn't the only one having this problem.
IS there not that many Sprint people around? Am I with the wrong carrier?

I pre-ordered from sprint.com
Can't wait! - S8 midnight black
I am selling my Pixel XL (128mb) when this comes in. WELL - I'll live with it a little bit and make the decision.
The Pixel XL is honestly really great. Just boring.
And I am excited to get to a "truly one handed" phone with a large screen (if infact the S8 can be that for me).
Does Sprint have any history of delivering early or anything?

I'm with T-mobile, but over the weekend a Sprint rep tagged me down while I was walking by, he was arguing with me that 256GB micro SD card doesn't exist, because they were offering 128GB micro SD card lol
I pre-ordered in black, online at 1 am on the 30th. Hoping they ship early, but being on sprint and with a Samsung phone I doubt it.

Just wanted to share some of the information I put together while putting in two pre-orders for S8's today at a Best Buy Mobile store.
First off, I was informed by the Assistant Manager that helped me at Best Buy Mobile that the $50 "gift card" for the S8 and $100 "gift card" for the S8+ would lower the amount of the installments over the period of the 24 month installment plan (I assume the same for the lease option too).
For instance, if I go with the 24 month installments on the S8 ($50 deal), I would get $2.08 off for 24 months bringing the monthly price down from $31.25 to $29.17. If I got the S8+ ($100 deal), I would get $4.16 off for 24 months bringing the monthly price down from $35.42 to $31.26.
Now based on what I have read on other forums I am still left wondering if I am actually getting a gift card for the phone or if it will be applied like mentioned above.
In addition I called Sprint to ask about the special offer "Get a $10/mo. loyalty credit on lease or installment billing when you stay on your current plan." that shows on my account. I was informed that I would not be eligible to receive this credit if I got the phone from Best Buy and the only way would be to order it through Sprint or through "telesales". I feel like the person was lying to me and just trying to get a sale.
The Assistant Manager at Best Buy Mobile checked with her local rep who told her that I would get the $10 loyalty credit and that it doesn't matter where the phone comes from; if your plan is eligible the credit will hit your account within a few billing cycles. I asked about the waived $30 upgrade fee that Sprint is offering. The rep said I would not get that (which I'm OK with if everything else checks out).
Anyway, if all this works like I have been told by Best Buy, my two S8's I ordered will be $19.17 a month and if I would have got an S8+ it would come to $21.26 a month.
The question is what is true and what is not true?
Preordered from sprint.com the first day it was available. Getting a $10 a month loyalty credit, or $240 off over 2 years.
Moving from a S4.
I ordered mine from Sprint today. I normally would have used Best buy but they don't offer Galaxy forever.
I had the same problems ordering as others here. They tried to charge me for the rest of my lease from my S7.
Once I called they cancelled the rest of my lease to fix the problem.
At this point it seems Sprint has the best pre-order deal.

Planning on jumping to the note 8?

With the note 8 announcement a few days away who is planning on getting this phone?
I am perfectly happy with my s8+ and can't imagine the note 8 will be that much better than the s8. I could give in to impulse and jump to the note 8 though

My Note 5 completely hardware crashed so I'm using a S7 Edge ATM until the note 8 released but I will wait to see what actual specs are. If they are not that much difference from S8+ then I will Seattle on S8+ so I don't spend the extra $$$.
ill be jumping to the note 8 for sure i want dual cameras and the pen
More than likely i wont. But my wife probably will cause her s8+ is cracked at the screen and now has a yellow tint that cannot be removed. At $175 for a claim, with TMO JUMP we actually owe less than that to JUMP and switch to another phone so its a no brainer to switch.

I've been on Jump 2.0 for the longest time, can you or anyone else please elaborate the difference between JUMP and JOD with the exception of JOD allowing you to upgrade more often with $0 down and a couple extra a month compared to JUMP. What other advantages/disadvantage between the two?
Nope. Don't need the pen. Not much differentiation to the S8+. Don't like the edgier design either.

Could be wrong but with JUMP you must pay 50% off of the current device while JOD there is no required amount to pay off. Not sure of the price difference per month. JUMP is $12 a month if i'm not mistaken.

You know, it's funny, with EITHER of those "freebies" I don't see myself being compelled to move to the Note 8 even though I have jump on demand. The device is just not that great. In terms of Tmobile, it's not even compatible with their 600MhZ band.

According to the Samsung website, it does not list S8 / S8+ models as an available trade in. Also, how about those that are still on the Note7?
I originally had 3 Note 7's, mine, wife, mom. I gave mine up for the S8+, mom did too, wife kept Note 7. So would we technically all 3 would be able to update to Note 8 at a $425 discount on each of the 3 phones? Also, how would it work since all 3 phones are currently on T-Mo?

I got this from the tmobile website:

Look at the section at the bottom titled "Questions about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 at TMobile":
I bought the Galaxy S8 with JUMP! On Demand. How much will it cost to JUMP! to the Samsung Galaxy Note8?
Customers are responsible for the down payment as well as applicable devices taxes.
For the Galaxy Note8, the down payment for well qualified JUMP! On Demand customers, would be $0 and then $39 each month.
So... Not quite sure where you're seeing that the S8 isn't eligible for trade-in. I'm not going to do it, but I'd rather have valid information disseminated than not.
