Is it possible to port the Pure Nexus Rom on the OnePlus 3/3T to the OnePlus 5?

Yes!!! I would be happy and literally cry out of happiness :crying::laugh:

Seriously, RR Unoficial with Launcher 3 Pixel, OOS Camera is just better! No need to wait, now just wait for Android O update

Looks like PureFusion ROM is the closest to PN we're going to get! And I don't say that with any disrespect to PF!
I'm going to try it out as soon as the OOS camera works with portrait mode

first of all apologize for my bad English
the question is this because OnePlus is working on only rom for its new updates that will be the OnePlus x since the betas of oxygen hydroge 3.5 and 2.5 are only out for OnePlus 3
will be no way to carry such roms?

OnePlus is working on another device, which will be out soon. It is a OnePlus 3 variant bearing Snapdragon 821 and Android Nougat. So I think they're done with OnePlus X.

what's the proof for this "OP3 variant"?
there are rumors that OnePlus OnePlus 3t would score with the only change oled screen by the lack of AMOLED

[Discussion] why there is so much delay in official Oreo build

Hie all,
First of its not any criticism thread... Just discussion thread. We all know Oneplus 5t is beast device... One of the finest android phone in the market now..... But why there is so much delay in official Oreo build. And Companies like Xiomi and other other mid range devices release thier Oreos but why not oneplus?
Xiaomi didn't do anything. Only one device of theirs is getting it right now. And that too because it's a stock android device.

But there are many mid range phone getting Oreo too.....???
Which ones have it already? Also this phone won't be getting project treble either, so if that does end up making updates faster in the future (I have my doubts) then the 5T will be even slower compared to other devices.

If you guys think oneplus is bad think about Samsung. The note 8 which is a flagship phone and costs double the oneplus 5t is still on nougat anyway. The beta is still out there for anyone really desperate for oreo.

Haha... Bro who tell u oneplus is bad.... I started this thread just for discussion ??
Even samsung note 8 and s8. Owners jealous with our 5t??
My only concern is that after all this waiting, we'll get android 8.0 instead of the already available 8.1. However the Oneplus 5 already has Oreo stable and it is almost an identical phone to the 5t so I don't think we'll go through so many open betas as the 5. I hope the release of Oreo is near!
Oneplus busy making the SW for oneplus 6.

Flash the Oreo Open Beta, and boom, you have Oreo.
Even though it's a beta, it's still mostly stable and solid. Some apps force close, but for me it's mainly Facebook at times, and it's few and far between. Not much is gonna be different in the stable build once it's released, so you might as well flash the OB

I'm never in a hurry to get earlier builds of new major OSes. They always have major problems, usually battery drain being one of them. It hasn't really been that long.

This. It's like the huge push to get Lineage 15 for our device, when it's still missing tons of features that make it Lineage. They might as well work on LOS 14 so it could go official like the OP5.
As for OOS, let someone else be the beta testers. I don't need to be on the lastest and greatest just for bragging rights. We're still getting security updates for Nougat from OP so I don't see a problem.
Why do you all care so much about Oreo anyway? 4.7.6 is super stable, and working great.
Wysłane z mojego ONEPLUS A5010 przy użyciu Tapatalka
I don't know as though I "care so much" but I do enjoy having all the possible features and Oreo brings a few additions which aren't huge but worthwhile nevertheless. Considering I had read many reports of OB1 working without issue I went ahead and installed it and guess what, I have no issues. I do however have a few new features I like and I'm all for extra gravy. I would suggest that those that want Oreo but haven't installed the beta, consider doing it, you're probably not going to regret it and reverting is easy enough anyways.
I have the Oreo BETA 1 on my 5T and this is pretty stable, with a great perf/battery ratio, which means that the Oreo stable can only be close to release now.
By the way the A from Xiaomi is getting Oreo, but cellphones like Mi 6 or Mi Mix 2 with MIUI 9 are getting Oreo in beta channel.
correct me if im wrong
but dont they have new year hollidays now in china

No reason to switch. Oneplus 5T has the same chip and doesn't even have treble. Do remember that even the Oneplus 6 (to be launched) won't match the S9 camera. Oneplus is good for raw performance, unlocked bootloader (custom rom support) and less priced than flagships.

unfortunately note 8 has no aosp roms whereas op5 has a ton of aosp...and a heavy rom like tw lags most in the cases..not exactly lag and hiccups here and there... though op5 can't even compete note 8 with camera

not a big shot comparing to stock oos... except... bugs. bugs everywhere at rr (well, as always, nothing new here). LOS..? If you disable oneplus services at stock and install custom kernel from boefala or blu spark (didn't try flash, cuz i dont like its description), then it will be same as at LOS. So, no profits. Its all about interface.
Hope, this will help you.

Will anyone work with Android P for Redmi 4 Prime?

Thanks to All the Oreo Developers for making such a good Roms for us.
That will be more exciting if anyone will work with Android P ?
I really hope so Thanks Devs btw
It's very early to talk about Android P. Even Oreo is not fully stable yet. And yes, we can hope for Android P thanks to Project Treble devs.

You can flash gsi/sgsi's. Bugs are quite ignorable.
I've tasted GSIs but they are little terrible.
Camera not stable, Battery back up not satisfying more.

Razziell's waiting for Mdroid, while he has released ArrowOS pie. There are several ported pie roms for markw. They are not much stable, but pretty usable. Camera works, battery consumption is a bit high, but not worse. Still, it's good waiting for stable release.

Got to give it some time. My 5T sat in the box unused for a few months because no custom roms were available. Heck the 6 still doesn't even have official Lineage support.
That being said development support is the only reason I buy OnePlus.
People please understand that custom ROM development is dead!!! sure you can bootloader unlock install TWRP and mods but development will never amount to much compared to the hay days of XDA. ..it's over

I hope not. I switched to the 5T after Google dropped ended the Nexus line. Just picked up the 6T hoping devlopement would pick up like it did for the 5T. If development ends up going nowhere this will be my last OnePlus device and I go back to my hard and fast rule of not purchasing any device without Lineage support. No more hoping for it down the road.
My next Phone is a Pixel. I will sell my 6t and buy the Pixel 3 XL. Better Dev support, faster update and better Camera.

What sort of development are you guys looking for?
One+ 6T is "almost" stock android.
I came from an S8 where I was dev for the following ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/development/rom-googlewiz-oreo-extreme-debloat-t3750641
It took me just a few hours to have the same ROM on the 6T, including debloating some of the One+ software which is IMHO pretty useless.
So now my One+ 6T looks and feels like a Pixel.
I can try to make a flashable rom for 6T out of it but I need to study a bit ... I did most of steps manually so I don't have a flashable zip.
Let me know if there would be interest in that.

I am most definitely interested, however, I have the TMobile variant. Is there a possibility of unlocking and rooting in the future without TMobile unlocking for me?
Custom ROM development definitely isn't what it used to be, however we'll see a few in the coming months. Anyone know if DU is supporting the 6t? I'm not following them on G+ anymore since they weren't supporting my last device.

Yes. All phones launching with Oreo & above will have treble support.
Seeing as we now have a more than serviceable TWRP that can decrypt and a growing customer base of one plus users on the 6T, I would venture to guess development will be ramping up very soon.

Yep I owned a Pixel XL and OnePlus 3 at the same time almost nothing going on in the pixel section but the OP3 section was thriving plenty of development going on.
There was a time that custom roms were so much better than stock roms, but nowadays many stock roms are better. They tend to be better with cameras rather than the generic cam that comes with a custom rom, they tend to also have better battery life as the rom is usually optimized for that specific device. There are many other things. About the only reason to root nowadays is to get rid of bloat and certain system files, as well as, modding your device with various mods like majisk and substratum. So I wouldn't expect a lot in the way of custom rom development. Gone are the days of Nexus and Note 4 development. Those days were a flashaholics dream!
