Hello All, I cannot get my VM to work on my OP5.
I searched around and found a thread on OP3 (from December 2016) that said there as an issue and if you turned off Visual VM button it should work fine.
I did this rebooted a few times still not working.
Anyone find a fix to this?

Has anyone running stock firmware ever notice their messages being repeatedly sent, my other half recieved 13 of the same message within an hour.
This has been driving me crazy since I got the phone.
Apparently there is a software problem, which has since been fixed.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, I went through this entire thread and couldnt find a similar post.
Just thought I would give a quick heads up to anyone else having the same issue.
Not an issue currently with the Sprint Snap S511, but I have experienced this before on my Old MotorolaQ9c/Samsung ACE... I thought it was a service thing, i'll keep a look out for this on my Snap.
Thanks!
I switched my Sprint number over to Google Voice about a month ago as part of the Sprint/GV integration. So far, so good, no problems.
I noticed before that if I sent a message from the stock SMS app, it'd show up in Google Voice. I thought it was a pretty handy feature. However, I noticed it hasn't been happening lately (within the past week or so). Has anyone else noticed this?
I don't know if this is a ROM issue (MikshiftG) or a Sprint/GV/Network issue or maybe it's just a feature they stopped enabling.
Just wondering if anyone else a) noticed this feature before and b) if it's still working for anyone else.
Has this been fixed? I plan to switch to sprint soon and was hoping this worked like this.
Mine still does this so im not sure what the problem is for you. I'm on the ota 2.3 update.
It must've been a temporary issue. Sprint was having SMS issues around the time this was happening... haven't had any problems since then.
Been running the rom for a bit now with no issues untill my last reboot yesterday my call log stopped working nothing shows up even with missed calls. I reflashed the white contacts but still does not work ... does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this... I searched the forums but could not find anything on this
I sold my G2 2 months ago and recently came across a problem where my friend who just got a oneplus one couldn't text me. Turns out that when I had my g2 and was playing around with CM I enabled secure SMS. So with him having that enabled their server still saw my number and was intercepting my texts. How can I deactivate this without having an android phone now? He disabled whisper push and can now text me again though.
for anyone with same issue, here is what I used: https://github.com/daveio/whisperpush-unregister
MMS Stopped Working Using Google Messenger post-MM?
Within the last few days I can no longer send or receive MMS (group text or pictures) using Google Messenger. I think this might have just popped up with the MM update. My MXPE is on Verizon. Anyone else having a similar problem?
I've looked online and seen info about changing APNs and/or removing any that aren't being used, but I wasn't positive how those apply to MXPE with MM on Verizon, though - most of the posts and troubleshooting guides are a little older.
(I've enjoyed this MXPE forum since I got the phone, just now forced to stop lurking. )

It's a known Marshmallow bug fixed on 6.0.1. If you use Pushbullet, disable it. Otherwise turn WiFi off to get/send your MMS, or download Textra to do it for you until 6.0.1 comes to the MXPE.
Forgive me if this is too obvious, but have you tried powering the phone off and powering it back on again? I also use Google Messenger and am on Verizon, and had the same problem after I updated. Doing a simple reboot seemed to get everything back to normal.

Yeah, reboots didn't do anything. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Messenger, which didn't help. I figured there was something more odd going on, since Moto's stock SMS app worked okay. (I just don't like it much.)
Textra (from the other reply, thanks!) did the trick - MMS messages are working just fine, happily.
Textra is great, it was my messaging client of choice for a long time. The only reason I switched to Google Messenger was because it has better Android Wear support.
