So currently, I muddle in programming.. Although I lack the time to sort this out due to hours at the hospital...
I know LOS supports call recording. Based upon LIRC.. info from your sim. Since the OOS is capable of recording based upon build prop edit. What is preventing a build prop edit or sim edit.. Or even an edited AOSP Dialer..
I don't care about local laws.. As I just want to save some conversations with my children to play back later on.. As memories and scrap book type situation..

Is there any way to record the phone conversation on TP2?
Yes it's easy.
You can use the free cab file ACR (Automatic Call Recorder) available from these forums or the shareware Resco Voice Recorder. Both will record calls automatically but ACR has the advantage of giving you the choice after the call of keeping the recording or not. I also had to install mskip's 2 way recording Cab to enable my TP2 to record both sides of the conversation as it wasn't picking up the other party's voice, only the feedback through the microphone. It seems that some devices need this to be enabled. There are 2 versions of this Cab. One is the "plus" version that additionally inserts the option to record on the Call screen. These are also available in these forums.
ACR Cab download
Just found the post for the ACR Cab. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536472
Thanks for the link buddy
ACR works flawlesly bothway on TP 2 (Unbranded TP2)
I can recommend VITO Audio Notes that worked flawlessly on HP 614c and now on TP2.
I also enjoy ACR but find a couple problems. It doesn't record every one of my calls for some reason, but I haven't paid attention enough to see if other things were going on with the phone to prevent a true recording.
Two other observations...
1. I have a ton of junk phone calls and voicemail checks that I need to go through and delete the recordings of.
2. Does anyone else feel a bit creepy going through your old phonecalls?

first of all go to options, and there you have to click on something that will require you to ask you "You want to save this call" after each call. There is a little pop UP....it's a very important file, if are required to keep up with phone call recording eg your girlfriend. I had the ACR, but now, I am using the build-in incall recorder. This doesn't auto record the calls, but give you an option if you want to record it, you have to each time start the recording by a little key build up in your menu, when you in call. so ACR is auto call, with an option to ask you each time if you want to save the call, and incall not auto.

Thanks. I didn't want to make it seem like it was a problem that I had all those junk calls. It's completely understandable. I guess I was just pointing it out because people might not realize how many worthless phone calls they make!

I concur. Listen this software saved my life twice. Once for a lie my bank tried to cover up and another for a car dealership lie.
People lie consistently... you need to protect yourself in this day and age.
I say video and audio record EVERYTHING.
all this crap about rights... what about our rights?
Please. I could care less about the debate... like ksm said.... Vito audio notes is an awesome piece of software. Now they just need to have it be a answering machine and it will be top notch.
Remember you read it here first.

Would anyone have an idea of how to map Rhodium Keyboard Controller to initiate the recording of a call rather than having to go through menus while on the call? I had this with Resco on my old Palm - but the current resco doesn't seem to have this ability unless perhaps there is some ARGUMENT that could be coded with the executable file to begin recording.
Like the other person - I was using ACR and loved the choice to save after every call - but the inability to sort through these calls quickly and play them was a problem and when multiple calls would come in - or conference calls - it seemed to loose track of which one it was recording.
Anyone found a solution?
Call Recording
Want to record phone calls right? You can use Auto Call Recorder by Slothie.
You can get it here.

I thought I'd start my own post, since some incorrect information has been going around. The libaudio.so file that has been linked to is only to fix the wonk on the Nexus One and has nothing to do with the Gingerbread call delay. It is hardware specific, and may cause issues in other phones. If you don't have a Nexus One, you probably shouldn't install this file. It is already in the CM nightlies, and will be in 7.0.4 when it is released.
I have submitted a patch to gerrit that reduces the call delay in my testing. I've posted a test build in the Nexus One nightlies thread, and fitsnugly has cherry-picked it for his Nexus One and G2x builds. Several others have said that it is working for them.
The patch is here:
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,5420
Thanks for your patch! This is great work.
My change has been merged into Cyanogenmod.
thanks for your brilliant findings!
Thanks jyxent for working on this! This has been the most annoying bug (to me) that I've had to deal with.
I am correct, in my understanding of the comments at review.cyanogenmod.com, that what you did essentially restored the code to how it was in Froyo? Just curious.
Not exactly. Google changed PhoneUtils to use CallManager to set the audio mode, instead of setting it to MODE_IN_CALL directly. There is some delay before a call becomes active once it is answered. CallManager checks this state when setting the audio mode, and was not setting MODE_IN_CALL, since it thought the call was still ringing. I just added a check to make sure that MODE_IN_CALL is set if a call was just answered and the call is still considered ringing.
This makes the behavior similar to froyo, but it wasn't just restoring the original code.
I think it works when answering from the handset but not when you answer using the earphone..is this possible????
got a problem today using this patch
phone was ringing: went to answer and slided...
in the meantime an SMS arrived (when I was sliding to answer)
result: the phone call hanged & audio output was set to loudspeaker + phone app freezed (black screen)
the other party could not hear me
hmm sorry for posting a dumbass question but
I need to download the callmanager.java right?
How should I install it, can I just replace the existing file using e.g. Super Manager (maybe making a copy beforehand)?
And if so, where is this file stored? I did a search on my phone but no results
thx

It isn't possible to just replace a file to get this fix. The ROM has to be compiled with the added patch.
This patch is included in the CyanogenMod nightly builds, as well as the 7.1 release candidate. As for other ROMs, it might be best to just ask in their respective threads.
Hey,
I didnt know where i should Post my Bug Report so if its the wrong section dont hold back to tell me.
I'm currently using my Galaxy S2 for daily use and after flashing some Kitkat Roms Omni is in my opinion the most stable rom and with Nova + ART a damn fast Rom, so thank you very much for supporting my Device.
I dont know whats happening the last weeks but it all began with an Opendelta Issue, i wiped all Data / Factory Reset via TWRP and flashed the Rom completely new and OpenDelta still didnt work, it just said every day its all up2date. Now after a couple of days it is working again, dont know if it was a Server Issue or something else - at the official Omni Page no one post News so i have always to guess whats happening
Currently i found 2 Bugs, if you want to call someone you open up the Dialer and then the Button for the Numbers but after clicking it, theres nothing(Screenshot is attached). You have to go back and try it again then the Numbers are there. The second Problem is that there is no Zoom in the AOSP Camera App if you record a Video. My currently workaround is the Google Camera App, there all is working fine. Also there are some Issues with Apollo , freezing , doesnt update the Song DB etc. , dont know why its so popular - its horrible. Replaced it also with a 3rd party App - Omich/Rocket Player.
The last Problem is that not everywhere in the Settings the correct language is used, if you need some translation help im sure many users would like to help(including me) but that is in my opinion nothing critical .
...and sorry if my Text was hard to read, its not my native language but im working on it :silly:
Regards
Per the FAQ, this is not the place to put bug reports.
However, I9100 hasn't been maintained in a long time, so filing a bug report will be a waste of time. Support for this device is currently going to be dropped with Android 5.0, and if it receives 4.4 bugfixes, that'll have to come from a new maintainer as none of the former maintainers have time/motivation for the Exynos 4210 devices these days.
Some of the issues you describe with Apollo aren't Apollo issues, but the result of a very deep-down core bug that has a side effect of screwing up storage access. This bug has been known for nearly a year (there's a big thread disucssing it somewhere around here...) and still no one has found a fix for the root cause. In fact, it's one of the #1 reasons the device is getting dropped for L. (It will absolutely not receive nightlies unless someone finds and corrects the root cause.)
Hey,
Thank you for your response. :good:
I reported the Bug on jira and there is a workaround for the Dialer Bug: Setting The Animator Scale higher than 0.
The Drivers are the problem right?

Well, there are three things you listed:
1) Dialer stuff - probably some sort of odd HDPI issue and/or graphics subsystem stuff. The Exynos4 graphics subsystem is why many developers don't want to ever touch the platform again.
2) Zoom in video - What resolution was Google Camera? Zoom has NEVER been available for 1080p resolutions on the Exynos 4210 family, not even stock firmware will zoom in 1080p
3) The storage issues are a symptom of a deep-down kernel bug that no one has found the root cause of. This is the #1 reason the device is getting dropped for 5.0 - there is no chance even if a new maintainer steps up that nightlies will resume until someone tracks down the root cause of this one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612329 has more discussion (warning: It's long...)
I think Moto G (2013) has hidden FM recording function, which would be used for recording FM from phone and also used for recording calls without root using this module.
But I dont know how to do it, so I am attaching the screenshots and also the apks. Hope to see a developer come forward and help me out. The FM record service already has the permission to record audio from phone microphone, and I am not able to upload the odex file in here.
Not all the apps which can record audio can necessarily record radio or call either.
There are apps which can do those functions. Search google for whatever you want. Or try a custom ROM like Tesla v2.5 , it has those features but you'll lose the feeling and stability of a stock ROM.
:silly:
I'm a new Moto user, coming from using Samsung phones exclusively. I was checking my list of things I'm missing from using my rooted Samsung phones that I've come to really depend on and what I can live without using my new MXPE. I'm really liking this phone so far but I do miss having native call recording on my Note 5 (which I sold). I'd rather not have to use a separate app for this, having it inside my phone's dialer like I had on my Note 5 was brilliant and extremely useful.
I'm unlocked, rooted and Xposed with GravityBox.
Is there an Xposed module that would work on this phone? Thanks for any assistance with this.
I use Drupe for a dialer replacement. Includes call blocking (missing on MXPE) call recording and quite a bit more.
Call Recorder by skvalex, along with AlsaMixer (ROOT) is what you'll want for a more seamless experience. Drupe is nice, but is a bit clunky for what you're looking to do. If you utilize AICP's Android N release, 11/28 is the most stable at the moment, you can get Call Blocking within it's Dialer. You do not need an xPosed module. Call Recorder will pop up a record bubble button you can move anywhere on your screen, and even set to only show during a call or auto-record, with cloud backup as well. It's a pretty nice setup if you need call recording.
I'll take a look at these options, thank you.
