I've seen variations on this request but nothing this specific before... Essentially, I have a Broadlink ir repeater and an app called rm plugin that allows you to create widgets or shortcuts (or act as a tasker plugin) to trigger ir commands.
The shield remote (I have the 2017 16gb) can control my soundbar and tv fine but I want to trigger an action to turn the soundbar on or off.
I don't mind buying tasker. Any ideas? I have the sideload launcher installed but just want to click something to turn the soundbar on or off! Thanks!
Buy an echo dot!
I am sure there is a way of doing this but I use the echo dot and rm plugin to Control everything. I would like to get autovoice working with this.
Actually if you have an android phone and install rm plugin on it and share the codes to it, then you can create a widget on your phone for rm plugin that should work just as well. If you then install autovoice on the phone you could probably do both. ..
That RM plugin app actually does what you want it to do. You can create a widget on your homescreen that performs a button press or series (macro of them). Just look for RM plugin shortcut in the widget list. There are also apps for making shortcuts as quick access buttons on your notifications pane or as swipe gestures like those pie control apps. Give it a try! I currently have the shortcuts in simple pie controls so I can control my tv and ac and my phone is fully immersed so no nav bar and more screen real estate

I am using Spb shell 3.5. When you short press on a widget on the Today screen you launch the program, when you long press on a widget a menu pops up to allow you to change the settings or remove that widget. As a short press often doesn't register and I need to keep my finger on the screen for longer, I ghet taken into Settings when I actually want the program itself. Is there a fix to disable the long press?
Has anyone figured out a way to make a shortcut to the pen window function? This is the feature where you take out the s-pen, click pen window, draw a rectangle, then pick one of the preselected apps. I don't find myself using the s-pen much at all, but having a shortcut to that feature would be AMAZING. It would simply be a matter of clicking the icon shortcut (or assigning a gesture to it with Nova), drawing a rectangle with your finger, then selecting an app.
I'm using Nova launcher and can't seem to find a shortcut for it in there. Any help would be much appreciated!
TIA!
Edit: NM, finally found an app for this in the play store. $1.49 well worth it IMO. Same dude who made the pen window manager to add more apps to pen window.
hello members.. please, in my application payed for streaming footbal soccer italian tim league, in full screen i cannot remove the virtual keys in orizontal mode viewing. the orizontal mode is obligatory and in other apps (eg youtube) i don't see these keys... is there a way for removing these keys?
thanks
I'm not sure you can remove the softkeys on a per app basis
alternative is to root, install xposed and lg pie control, then install something like 'gmd auto hide soft keys' or lmt launcher (pie controls)

please i installed but not disappeared and how i return to visible the keys?
you have to activate lg pie control in xposed.. that will get rid of the soft keys on reboot
make sure to have an alternative controls installed though or you won't be able to navigate.. personally i use 'lmt launcher' which can be got from this very xda site, this gives you pie type controls which can be configured to your personal liking. I can't vouch for gmd controls because I've never used them, but they are popular.
Is there a native way to lock the phone using a double tap, widget, etc? Just looking for anything OTHER THAN a physical button to save wear and tear on the button. I prefer a soft button / widget, but if something is built-in, I could get used to it without having to add-on software.

Negative. No tap wake and no app. Said they were thinking about adding tap maybe in a future update
You can double home button or status bar to lock with Lineage. This function is configurable in settings, no need extra app.
If you choose to install Xposed, GravityBox has the option to dbl-tap status bar for.sleep
I use Screen Off and Lock from the playstore. If using the stock launcher, click on the icon to turn off/lock. If using Nova Launcher, set up the double tap to run the Screen off and lock program (in the Gestures & inputs). Been using it for years with no problems.
In the purpose of not using the physical buttons anymore in order to preserve them I was wondering if I could map some actions to shortcut icons.
The one's I'm interested in are One-handed mode and Multi window.
It has to be possible to launch them via a terminal emulator, right? but where to start?
