Hello there guys, I have a brazilian Moto X XT1572, I had to reset the android to apply OTA update, because the ota required the android build version MPHS24.49-18-8, I think that I installed the european version, because the SIM card was not being recognized after I reseted the phone, I thought that maybe once on nougat and flashing the modem images from LAT release would fix this, however no help. Can someone help me?
Flash full stock 6.x LAT. @richardtrle
Have u tried any custom rom like AICP , RR i also have RETLA brazil edition these roms doesn't recognizes my sim cards

Hi, I'm using crDroid 3.6 (latest) and whenever I update the ROM, I got the same issue that none of my two sims are recognized. I follow the steps below on every update:
NOTE: This assumes that you have already setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
1- Boot your Android device into TWRP recovery.
2- Select Mount » and then select System from the list of partitions to mount the system partition and then go back.
3- Connect your device to the PC with an authentic USB cable.
4- Open a command window on the PC and issue the following command to pull build.prop file from the device:
adb pull /system/build.prop
The above command will download the build.prop file to your PC in the same directory where your command prompt is running from.
+ Tip: Make a copy of the build.prop file before you edit it so that you’ve a backup of the original file.
5. Open the build.prop file on your PC using the Notepad++ program.
6. Edit the build.prop file and add following lines to the Radio Section (or anywhere for that matter) and save it on the PC after making the changes.
This is the MAIN STEP TO FIXED FOR GET DUAL SIM
ro.fsg-id=emea_dsds
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds
ro.telephony.ril.config=simactivation
7. Once you’ve saved the edits to the build.prop file, push it back to the device using the following command:
adb push build.prop /system/
8. Now set the correct permissions for the build.prop file with following commands (issue them one-by-one):
adb shell
cd system
chmod 644 build.prop
9. Once you’ve set the correct permission for build.prop file, reboot your device to system from TWRP’s Reboot » System option.
That’s it.
@muneeb_baig I tried doing exactly what u said, no avail
Thanks though

Hi.
I have flashed my moto x style mt1572 single sim using this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/guide-flashing-stock-firmware-t3637235
and this stock rom:
XT1572_CLARK_RETLA_DS_7.0_NPHS25.200-15-8_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
after flashing complete i get no sim slot detected. i was installed for dual sim device. then i installed the correct one:
XT1572_CLARK_RETLA_7.0_NPH25.200-15_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
i dont know what is the correct model for my device, but since there is just 2 stock firmware with android 7.0 and i was have this version in my OTA update, so i think this is the correct ROM.
but after installing this one, i got same problem. my baseband not found and IMEI is unknown.
i tried any solution except this. if i want to use this solution how should i edit my build.prop for single sim device?
sorry for my english.
thanks.

Hi all,
I have managed to deodex and zipalign my rooted I8190XXALL2_I8190OXXALL1 ROM in my smartphone, so thought i would share it here.
Follow all the instructions carefully. I will not be held responsible in any manner if your smartphone doesn’t boot up or gets bricked due to not following the instructions.
Please make sure -
1. Your smartphone is already rooted (flash one of the rooted rom's founded here)
2. Download and install Busybox Installer latest version.
3. Make sure you already have Java SE Development Kit and Android SDK installed on your computer.
Install them to the default choice on the C: drive.
4. You should also have a basic knowledge of ADB.
Required Downloads -
1. xUltimate version 2.4.2 – Link. You may have to Google for the correct version to download. Extract it to C:\xUltimate-v2.4.2.
Instructions –
1. Connect your smartphone to your computer. (Make sure you have selected USB debugging in Settings>Applications>Development)
2. Open a command prompt as administrator. Wait for Window to appear.
3. Change Directory to C:\xUltimate-v2.4.2
4. Launch main.exe.
5. If everything goes well xUltimate should recognize the smartphone and make a connection. You should now see a list of options.
6. Select option (1) pull /system/app. Wait until it completes.
7. Select option (2) pull /system/framework. Wait until it completes.
8. Then select option (3) Deodex /system/app. Wait until it complete.
[If encounter any error. Find out which .odex file is it. Then remove .odex file from folder origi_app in xUltimate folder.
If you encounter the error “ ‘java’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable or batch file” see Note below.]
9. Then select option (4) Deodex /system/framework. Wait until it complete.
10. Now Exit from xUltimate.
11. Disconnect and connect your smartphone. Your PC should open a Window for you to view your files.
12. Go to C:\xUltimate-v2.4.2 folder and copy “done_frame”, and “done_app”, and move them to the root of the internal sdcard. Don’t copy them to your external sdcard
14. Now safely eject your smartphone from the PC.
15. Click on My Computer and find the directory where Android SDK is installed (on my PC it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\. Then go to the ‘platform-tools’ folder in it. Right click on any free space in folder while pressing shift key. Select ‘open command prompt here’.
16. Reconnect the smartphone to your PC in USB debugging mode.
17. Now enter the following commands (if you are using adb shell in su for the first time, keep smartphone screen on).
adb shell (this should recognize your device)
su
stop
mount -o rw,remount /system/ /system/
cp /sdcard/done_app/* /system/app/
rm /system/app/*.odex
cp /sdcard/done_frame/* /system/framework/
rm /system/framework/*.odex
mount -o ro,remount /system/ /system/
reboot
18. Your smartphone will reboot and perform an automatic Android update. You have now deodexed/zipaligned the ROM on your smartphone.
NOTE
I only tried this on my I8190 with ROM I8190XXALL2 - I8190XXALL1 BTU Rooted.
At Step 8, (running Option 3), if you encounter the error “ ‘java’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable or batch file” then xUltimate can’t find the PATH to your ‘java’ command.
To add the location of Java to your PATH do this:
Right-click on ‘My Computer’ (or Computer for Vista) and choose ‘Properties’.
Navigate to the ‘Advanced’ tab (or for Vista/7/8, click 'Advanced System Settings’ on the left, then find the ‘Advanced’ tab)
Click ‘Environment Variables’
Under System Variables, find 'Path' and click Edit...
DO NOT ERASE OR REPLACE THE CONTENTS OF THIS. YOU ARE SIMPLY GOING TO ADD TO IT.
At the very end of the text field, add a semicolon [ ; ] and add the location of java.exe.
On my Windows 64-bit system this is in “c:\program files\java\jdk1.7.0_06\bin” . For others it might be "c:\program files\java\jre7\bin". I seem to have java.exe in both locations but only the first one worked for the batch file in xUltimate.
Then ‘Okay’ that to save the addition and come out of ‘Properties’
Batch files will now be able to find java.exe without you modifying the batch file.

hi, need some help. when i try to deodex, i got error "Error occured while loading boot class path files. Aborting. bla bla bla"
please help me
Hi all,
I made a small change to the com.android.server.telecom.CallActivity class (e.g. Log.i("I am here") ). I entered "mm" to build to the project under /packages/services/Telecomm and got an updated apk file in out/target/product/aosp_arm/system/priv-app/Telecom/Telecom.apk . And then I installed the apk by typing "adb install -r /path/to/Telecom.apk". The installer confirmed "success". I rebooted the device and logcat my added log line while making a phone call. However, I saw nothing.
On the other hand, if I do a full build by typing "make -j8" from the root of the repo tree and flash the image zip file using flashall.sh or update.sh, I can see my added log line.
What did I miss? I am sure there must be a way to make changes in the Telecom package w/o a full rebuilt everytime.
Thank you!

Follow this
NOTE: This assumes that you have already setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
This is the MAIN STEP TO FIXED FOR GET DUAL SIM
ro.fsg-id=emea_dsds
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds
ro.telephony.ril.config=simactivation
7. Once you’ve saved the edits to the build.prop file, push it back to the device using the following command:
adb push build.prop /system/
8. Now set the correct permissions for the build.prop file with following commands (issue them one-by-one):
adb shell

This is the MAIN STEP TO FIXED FOR GET DUAL SIM
ro.fsg-id=emea_dsds
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds
ro.telephony.ril.config=simactivation
That’s it.

HI , im new here but i know a long time ago about this community, anyway, someone can help me uploading a build.prop of the moto g5 plus, i modify it and well... :/ i try to fix it whit a adb on the command promp but my phone still stuck on the boot, and i sorry about this topic maybe can help on the future
Which model do you have? What build are you on? Are you running a custom ROM?
It would probably be easier to post your build.prop and see if someone will look at it and give you some advice as to what is wrong.

thanks and i hope this can help someone else
The number one issue I see with people modifying build.prop (myself included) is forgetting to fix the permissions once you are done. My preferred method for editing it is using BuildProp Editor. It makes editing easy as well as makes setting the permissions extremely easy without having to use ADB. Best part is you can do this on the fly instead of having to use your PC.

XT1922-3 Model
XT1922-4 Model

XT1922-7 Boost Mobile variant of this device with the code name JETER with Android 8.0.0 Build OCP27.91-23
XT1922-9 Model
Links to all boot images have been removed at the request of Motorola.
If you have done an OTA for your Device these boot.img's may not work for your device. We will need a newer boot.img to patch.
Please make backups using TWRP. Right now there is no ROM from moto for these devices that I've found. So proceed with caution.
Just make sure to download the correct boot.img for your device.
If you have another model please follow the first few steps to grab the stock boot.img and post it here and I can patch it.
The steps listed in this process WILL wipe your userdata. If you have anything you need to save back it up first.
Prerequisites:
Unlocked bootloader.
ADB/Fastboot installed on your machine ( https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools ) If you have issues with commands make sure you have a current build of ADB and fastboot.
Step 1.) Download _ this TWRP image to the ADB/Fastboot folder on your computer.
Step 2.) Reboot to your bootloader. You can do this by turning on your device and holding power and both volume buttons at the same time.
Step 3.) Once the device reboots to the bootloader type the following from your computer with your phone connected via USB.
Code:
fastboot boot moto-g6-play-jeter-patched-twrp.img
Step 4.) Once TWRP boots from your computer type (it may take a bit to boot because it is trying to decrypt your userdata, but it will fail and prompt for a password. Just click cancel):
Code:
adb pull /dev/block/platform/soc/7824900.sdhci/by-name/boot stockboot.img
adb pull /dev/block/platform/soc/7824900.sdhci/by-name/recovery stockrecovery.img
This will backup your stock boot and recovery images if you to revert to stock later.
Step 5.) Now type:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Step 6.) Download either XT1922-9_no_dm-verity_boot.img or XT1922-7_no_dm-verity_boot.img or XT1922-5_no_dm-verity_boot.img or XT1922-4_no_dm-verity_boot.img or XT1922-3_no_dm-verity_boot.img patched dm-verity boot image depending on which device you have and download it into the ADB/Fastboot folder on your computer.
Step 7.) Run the following command from your computer to install the relevant boot image to your device.
Code:
fastboot flash boot XT1922-9_no_dm-verity_boot.img
OR
Code:
fastboot flash boot XT1922-7_no_dm-verity_boot.img
OR
Code:
fastboot flash boot XT1922-5_no_dm-verity_boot.img
OR
Code:
fastboot flash boot XT1922-4_no_dm-verity_boot.img
OR
Code:
fastboot flash boot XT1922-3_no_dm-verity_boot.img
Step 8.) Run the following command from your computer to install the TWRP image to your device.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery moto-g6-play-jeter-patched-twrp.img
Step 9.) Use the volume keys on the device to select boot to recovery and TWRP will boot up again. When it prompts for a decryption password select cancel again.
Step 10.) From your computer type the following into your command prompt/terminal from your adb/fastboot folder:
Code:
adb shell mount -o,rw /dev/block/platform/soc/7824900.sdhci/by-name/vendor /vendor
Step 11.) Download this patched fstab.qcom boot image into the ADB/Fastboot folder on your PC.
Step 12.) Run the following command from command prompt/terminal on your computer:
Code:
adb push fstab.qcom /vendor/etc/fstab.qcom
Step 13.) Next click the "Wipe" button in TWRP and slide "Swipe to Factory Reset" THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DATA ON YOUR PHONE. Ensure you have backup.
Step 14.) Download the Magisk zip file https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/ to your ADB/Fastboot folder.
Step 15.) Run the following command to push the boot image to your device
Code:
adb push Magisk-vXXX.zip /tmp
This will push the Magisk-vXXX.zip to your /tmp folder
Step 16.) Flash Magisk-v16.4.zip from TWRP using the install option and navigate to the /tmp folder to select it and install it.
Step 17.) Reboot your device
Step 18.) It will say N/A in the top corner of your device for a few seconds. Then it will boot the the Motorola boot screen and you can setup your device as a new phone.
Step 19.) Verify Magisk Manager is installed and the root functionality works.
Step 20.) ???
Step 21.) Profit

Thanks for your guide!
i can confirm this works perfectly on my boost model if you do everything exactly as the tutorial say. will be posting screenshots once i re download xda labs on phone. using computer as i type this
---------- Post added at 01:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:00 AM ----------
alright so until this thread is able to work on the app i cant post screenshots but magisk safety net protection works. my kernel adiutor settings stuck on boot. the only things thats not working is being able to uninstall some bloatware and useless system apps. o theres no device encryption on boot anymore which is nice.
Hi @kwiksi1ver,
Thank you for your guide! :highfive:
However, I recomend to do one of these two things:
- Option 1: Add to your guide a link for download the original "boot.img" and "recovery.img". This is required for restoring the original state of the device in case of some error.
- Option 2: Instead of directly "flash" the "recovery.img" in the step 3, you can recommend to use a simple "boot". This doesn't replace the recovery and it's more safe. Then you can instruct to the user to make a backup of his stock boot & recovery partitions. See my guide about G6+: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g6/how-to/moto-g6-root-guide-start-pro-users-t3795197
If you do it, then some users can rollback when some trouble appear. For example, someone here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76789160&postcount=27 needs your help (I have a G6+, so I can't help him).

Sweat
So here is confirming. This works 100% alas i can only confirm the boost version as well.
THANK YOU
I Can confirm this works on the boost mobile variant of the jeter if you follow every step exactly. Magisk works, and safety net is good, and magisk hide works tried Pokemon go and it was successful. Modules I used on my Moto g4 play work on my g6 play. Only thing I've noticed is the bloatware and certain system apps ( like Facebook) refuse to be uninstalled. Screenshots provided. Kernel aduitor settings also stayed when I used the apply on boot option

Cheers. I've added the stock files to the second post in the thread and I'll see what I can do about updating with the fastboot boot twrp.img steps and have the user backup their stuff first.
I wish I could help the user your referenced too, but they have different device. They have a G6, I have a G6 Play, and you have a G6+.

You can run "adb shell" then "su" then type "pm disable com.facebook.system", "pm disable com.facebook.katana", "pm disable com.facebook.appmanager", "pm disable com.ironsource.appcloud.oobe", "pm disable com.lookout" etc which will disable the apps.
Alternatively you could use a file manager with root access and delete the various files and reboot. Make sure to keep a backup just in case you need them:
/oem/app/FcbkAppManagerSprint/FcbkAppManagerSprint.apk
/oem/app/FacebookStubSprint/FacebookStubSprint.apk
/oem/priv-app/FcbkInstallerSprint/FcbkInstallerSprint.apk
/oem/priv-app/LookoutSprint/LookoutSprint.apk

I just mainly want to remove Facebook as a system app and remove it's automatic updates and just reinstall it on play store as a regular app lol. I did try a couple root uninstallers and the failed to remove anything from the system. Also used a file manager with root and the results were the samr. The phone automatically resets when there's an attempt at removing system apps. I'll try to get a logcat for ya
I removed it all without any tools except for adb and it doesn't come back. Here is the code I used.
Code:
adb shell
su
cp -r /oem/app/FcbkAppManagerSprint /sdcard
cp -r /oem/app/FacebookStubSprint /sdcard
cp -r /oem/priv-app/FcbkInstallerSprint /sdcard
cp -r /oem/priv-app/LookoutSprint /sdcard
cp -r /data/app/com.ironsource.appcloud.oobe-mMdx9tUtxjFcQlRhjRmqrQ==/base.apk /sdcard
mount -o rw,remount /oem
mount -o rw,remount /data
mount -o rw,remount /system
rm -rf /oem/app/FcbkAppManagerSprint
rm -rf /oem/app/FacebookStubSprint
rm -rf /oem/priv-app/FcbkInstallerSprint
rm -rf /oem/priv-app/LookoutSprint
rm -rf /data/app/com.ironsource.appcloud.oobe-mMdx9tUtxjFcQlRhjRmqrQ==
reboot
If you run all of those command it will backup your annoying APK's to the /sdcard folder if you need them later and then delete the originals and then it reboots your device.
The ironsource appcloud apk is the thing that reinstalls the Sprint bloatware apps over and over again, so removing or disabling that is key to keeping the crap gone.

Hi, can you post your stockboot.img file that you backed up during step 4? I can modify that and then I see if we can make it work for the XT1922-5 as well.

If you managed to get the boost version onto sprint, in theory it should be eligible for a sim unlock w/50 days of service.
