Hey guys,
I've had problems flashing new ROMs in the last days.
The ROMs just wouldn't get past the boot animation.
Sometimes a reboot helped to make it boot into the OS.
- RR Rom didn't work (endless boot animation)
- Mokee Rom didn't work either (endless boot animation)
- Freedom OS required a reboot during the boot animation to boot
- xXx no limits was my first ROM. No problems.

Are you encrypted? If so, were you previously unencrypted?

Hey, I just installed the new Paranoid Android ROM v 1.6 and flashed the custom GApps pakcage too. Now I reboot my nook and the boot animation has been on for the past 20 minutes, no signs of booting up. Any help.
If you haven't got this working, try booting into Recovery and wipe Dalvik Cache. Then reboot again.
Takes forever for it to actually load the O/S the first time around.
Good luck!

Hello,
I have PA stable 2,53 version on P6800 and I have the same problem .When I run out of battery it wont boot anymore it just stays on the android logo for eternity . When i wipe the cache it boots normally but only until next time then it hangs again.

Hi!
Last night I installed bootloader on my A500. And noticed problems right away.
Problem #1: I can't boot into recovery using RECOVERY menu in bootloader. I flashed CWM as secondary kernel and can boot that way. But I think there is something wrong. Also HOME button didn't work.
Problem #2. Right after installing bootloader I was able to boot into my system (ICS). Then i installed rooted deodex stock ROM. This time my tablet kept crashing launcher.
Problem #3. I installed Omni unofficial light ROM, gapps and SU. Creared cache etc. Tried to boot - tablet gets stuck on boit animation - ANDROID sign with running lights.
Does somebody have an idea what is wrong?
Any help appreciated!
Like the title says, my phone gets stuck at the boot logo (not bootloader) after I try to flash any custom ROM to which I solve by restoring to a stock rooted nandroid backup of 6.0.
Here's my flash process:
1. Reboot to TWRP
2. Do clean wipe
3. Flash ROM (DU for example)
4. Flash gapps
5. Reboot
TWRP flashes the ROMs and necessary gapps without any issues but no matter what it gets stuck at the boot logo after rebooting. This wasn't a problem in the past as I was using Orion, DU, AICP, etc. Would using the restore-to-stock tool help in this case? The only thing stopping me from using it is the fact that it would wipe my internal storage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: I decided to restore to stock and wipe user data and I'm now finally able to get past the the boot logo
How long are you waiting? First boot can exceed 20 minutes just sitting there looking like it's not doing anything...
Sometimes first boot take.more than half an hour
Sorry to revive this but Im getting the same problem... Did u managed to install any rom after u flash the stock rom? Should I do that? How long should I wait on first boot?
Hi all,
So I was using Xiaomi.eu ROM and I flashed Android 10 stable gsi. It booted up perfectly fine. But it had some issues so I reverted back to Xiaomi.eu . But when I tried to flash Android 10 gsi by erfan (PE one).
The device got stuck on boot animation. I tried flashing Havoc, Bootleggers, previous GSI. None booted! All stuck on boot animation. But flashing xiaomi.eu works. EVERY other ROM gets stuck on boot animation and when left for a while, device gets heated up!
Any of this happened to you?
Solutions please.
Thanks in advance!

You have not told us whether;
1. You are doing clean flashes or dirty flashes.
2. You formatted data before flashing a different ROM.

And formatted data too.

Hmmm ... if you formatted data (rather than just wiping), that should deal with most problems. Are you flashing GSIs or full ROMs?

I think, it was a recovery issue. I flashed letsmakecakes' twrp. Every ROM works.

Looks like you have encryption issue. Try to FORMAT data partition then flash the rom again.
