Sorry for the dumb question but which platform do I have to flash? Is it the "ARM64".
And is there a suggested version? Resurrection Remix suggested nano for my old SG Note 4.
Thanks in advance.
Yes arm64, and suggested version... Really depends on what you want to be installed

thank you for the reply ! but I have downloaded from the link in the this topic aicp rom open GApps and many people are also vulnerable and are in need of the support of developer
The problem is not the developer responsibility. It is the Lineage base rom that is picky about certain Gapps. So all the after market versions (CRdroid, Resurrection Remix, & AICP) for the KLTEVZW are similar. It also helps to wipe cache, data, system, & dalvik before installing. I have used all these roms and consistently Open gapps arm 7.1 mini works for me.

Nrml flashing couldn't make any problem that to be said from nougat to oreo since for now they have same baseband ver. but for you definitely flash stock rom first(nougat) via adb or twrp both work fine. There is difference between baseband in mm and nouhat and will create problem to you in future

As the post above states ensure you flash the stock nougat ROM before flashing nougat custom ROM. Flash stock nougat, reflash twrp, wipe system, data, cache, ART cache and then flash custom ROM.

Thank you, helps a lot!
As others have said, I would like to say you should update to N. As otherwise you might face a few issues namely baseband and fingerprint. The problem is a big MIGHT but I would recommend updating first
Hi,
I have a rooted N900 with stock Android 5.0 that I am trying to update it to 7.1 Resurrection Remix
I just wanted to ask if there are any special things that I should do like flashing a certain modem or kernel before flashing 7.0
Thanks,
First:
Flash twrp for HLTE via odin,
Download RROS
Full wipe data/cache etc.
Install ROM,
Install GApps,
Optional flash Magisk Manager.

You must flash BL+CL otherwise your Sim card won't work and you will have very slow GPS.
Everything that you need is on Resurrection Rom threed
Looking to install a stock kernel somehow but i'm not sure how exactly. is there any guide on how to install a stock kernel? I've already looked arrount the forums but didn't really find any usefull information.
I'm rocking a xxx41 model and I'm planing to install Invicta OS onto it.
Thanks for any help in advance.

I have already replied same thing on older thread, [ https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/quick-questions-kernel-installations-t3794980 ]
if you flash ROM, it will also install kernel which is considered stock for that installed ROM. You need to flash kernel only if you have modified it (by flashing custom kernel or SU zips).
If you want to flash different ROM, you can flash without doing anything else, just wipe and flash.
PS invictaOS is discontinued long ago, invictaOS-Nougat is stable, Oreo will be more bugfull than current available ROMs..
Experience "failure to load kernel" issue after flashing lineage 17 OS and OpenGapps 10 stock... please share the solution.. do i need to load a stock kernel?

Though these forums are for the Moto G4 Plus, that does suggest an issue with the build of Lineage OS that you're using. Can you confirm with the developer that this build is successfully running on their device? Do you have a compatible Lineage 17 OS based kernel you could try to flash?
Was your device working with other stock or custom ROMs before flashing Lineage 17?
I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy S5. If I wanted to install a customized Aroma version of GApps, I had to temporarily flash an ancient version of TWRP. This OnePlus model is not listed as having an issue, and it's not a dealbreaker if it does, but I'm just checking if anyone has tried flashing it.

Flashing something on your phone without a fully functional TWRP is quite playing lottery. And in the absence of any custom ROM for now it's not really a big issue. Gapps are not tied to a model but to an architecture there shouldn't be any problems with gapps.
