I installed on my Nexus 4, Nitrogen 7.1.2 and Open Gapps ver.7.1 aroma. I noticed Google keyboard Gboard is not working with Cyrillic now. Flashed again and tried mini, nano and stock but all the time got error 70 – not sufficient space. I suppose there is a conflict with Gboard installed over the initial package from Open gapps.
Is there other package instead of Open Gapps?

You can try Beans gapps mini... They should also work. Open gapps mini, nano and pico should work. I always use Open gapps pico. In that case it will never show "not sufficient space" error.
Try a clean flash once.

Hi all,
Since cm12.1 flash (official nightly 20150504 updated today to 0506) with 5.1.1 gapps, i can't use ok google function and voice search.
When I try to train ok google detection it says "can't use your microphone. Please restart your phone". But restarting doesn't help.
And with google search, when I hit the microphone button it says me "can't load search result".
Is it a cm bug (so I can live with it) or I missed something ?
I have found other people with the same problem with other devices (note 4 or One S) on google.
Thanks in advance
PS : clean flash with all wipes
EDIT : Solution in post 3
I have the same problem
My phone is G900, same thing happened to my phone. I find that some people report this problem on MOTO phone, because the moto phone has it own verbal commands. I think CM 12.1 is coded based on the original Samsung ROM, and it has S voice which is like MOTO's verbal commands.

I've found a solution. If you have downloaded the gapps package on the official cm website like me it's probably that. This package only size ~80 mo, regular package size around 200 mo, something was probably missing. I haven' time to check zip but it works for me.
So I have reflashed all with an other gapps package like the one in this post or a PA gapps package here.
Re wipe or you can have FC of Gmail and google app.
Hope it will help.
Problem solved

I flashed the 200mb gapp package, and the problem was solved. I remember that when I flashed the 80mb package, I have got the FC of Google app once , It's clear that something was missing in the 80mb package.
Thanks!

Probably something missing. But as for the size being only 80mb, it's because it contains only one playservices and play store. Unlike the other which is 200mb because it's universal gapps package and contains all various playstore and playservices and would install the right one for your device. Just saying..lol
Installed cm13 last night and installed the pico gapps package from the cm wiki page. Everything else is working great but downloading apps from Google store is fluctuational. Sometimes dropping to 500 KB/s or lower on a 50mb/s cable internet connection.
Any ideas ? Any better gapps package for cm13? Would highly prefer a barebones package with just google play store and necessities for it to function.
Installing new gapps package, what's the process ?
New gapps package seemed to help.
I finally succeeded in ROM'ing my phone, Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505. I'm now running RR-N-v.5.8.3-20170502-jfltexx-Official.
I used TWRP to ROM my phone. During the ROM process I also installed OpenGapps and selected "Install TWRP on Reboot If It's Not There Yet". But, I was nevertheless left with a phone without any GoogleApps and without TWRP. I tried to install open_gapps-arm-7.1-aroma-20170324.zip and it seemed to be going well. I was presented with the "what do you want to install" screen. I went with the defaults. In this case did the defaults mean "install nothing?"
Questions:
How do I install the correct version of TWRP?
What is the correct version of OpenGapps and how do I install it?
I also need to install Titanium Backup?
I have Android SDK and ADB installed on my Linux laptop. I briefly tried it out and it seemed cool, and it communicated with my Android device.
You already HAVE TWRP installed. Without TWRP you can't flash any ROMs, gapps or any other shenanigans. So if you say you don't have TWRP, how did you flash the ROM?
Default gapps are a BIG package. You may not have enough space for it. Besides, do you even need every single Google app present in the default package? I doubt it. The only thing you truly need is the Play Store and the framework to make it work. Everything else is optional and can be downloaded from said Play Store.
Thanks, this time I successfully rebooted to TWRP and did the GApps install again. This time I did Checked-And-Green to select the Gapps I want. But I still don't see any Gapps in the launcher. Why is that?
Oops, I installed GApps Stock version, I was glad to see the apps successfully intalling, but now it's like I have a Google Phone. Many Google Apps I don't need or use. Now I'll have to re-Flash RR and figure out how to install only the Google Apps I want (Google Play app store, Inbox, and a few others). Mainly Google Play so I can install Titanium Backup. Maybe I'll see if I can download an APK for Titanium Backup and then restore the apps I want.

try the nano GApps package, or micro package.
they have just what you need.
or try the aroma package, in the Aroma package you get to choose what you want to install.
Open Gapps Micro still begins the first reboot in a Google phone mode, that's disappointing. Also, I'm required to type in fields like Gmail address and password, but apparently I don't have a keyboard app only entry by voice. And I am unable to enter the email address because it does not allow me to vocally spell an email address. I liked the Resurrection Remix theme and launcher. How do I get back to that after I flash Open Gapps?

the "Google phone" expression you're saying is a must have in all android devices, if I'm not wrong you're referring to the setup wizard, the setup wizard is there no matter what phone you have, if you factory reset you start with a similar setup wizard.
the keyboard issue isn't a GApps fault, it's a ROM fault, keyboard should exist no matter what GApps you flashed, anyway if you want to skip the setup wizard, then try flashing the ROM only and let it boot then double check everything including the keyboard, after that boot into recovery and flash GApps.
the phone should now boot with GApps installed and you will directly see the lock screen of the phone...(no setup wizard)

Use the smallest package and download what you need from the play store. I already suggested this in my first reply when I said "you don't need the full package".
Open Gapps Aroma worked better this time. I selected only the Gapps I thought I need, but it was a complete enough selection that when I was given the Set-Up-Your-Google-Account I had a keyboard to fill in the fields. Then I selected the Trebuchet launcher which is the RR one I liked. Then I began restoring my apps using Titanium Backup. So far things are going well.
In Gapps Aroma, to install the app, it has to be checked off and green. The default, checked off and grey, means it will not be installed. That's confusing.
Whenever I try, Google Play Services force closes. I installed OpenGApps aroma package for 7.1 and ARM64, I choosed all apps, which are in pico package, and that 1-2 apps I need. I installed GApps on Android 8.1 this way too, but on Oreo it's working.
I have installed Lineage 15.1 on my OnePlus 2 (20181016 nightly) and everything works apart from Android Auto. Every time I try to launch it I get the following error message.
"Something Went Wrong - Google Play Services doesn't seem to be working right now"
I installed Open Gapps (full) at the same time (no reboot between installs).
I have tried full wipes and resets.
Please can anyone suggest a solution? Can I try a more recent version of Google Play Services from APK mirror and if so do I need to uninstall the current version first?
I don't know if this is related, but my OPT with LineageOS 15.1/same nightly doesn't work with Android Auto unless I enable developer options and enable ADB debugging. Sometimes a nightly will reset that back to disabled, though usually it's sticky and doesn't change across nightlies. The last time it happened was about a month ago.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that both in the car and just running the app from the phone and no joy.
When I first installed 15.1, I used MindTheGapps-8.1.0-arm64-20180320_011441. I had been having some camera issues with OpenGapps, and used MindTheGaps with some self installed camera software instead. Worth a shot perhaps. Also for reference my Android Auto (using autoupdate) is version 3.7.584044-release according to app info.
I have now resolved this issue by joining the Google Play services beta.
After the new version installed, I rebooted and Android Auto started working. Must be something about the version that came with the version of Lineage I installed.

Unbelievable! After searching the entire internet for a solution, this is the only thing that worked . Thanks!
Another Solution worked for me:
I had the same prolem on my Costum OS Lineage.
Then i uninstalled the GAPPS and installed the first GAPPS Version for my Android Version 8.1: (Release: 01 March 2018)
When I opened the app after that, i geted the message that the google play services is not up-to-date and i updated it through the play store.
I dont know why, but it is working now. for me.

How did you uninstall GAPPS and installed 'first' version ?
I've oneplus2 with latest LOS 15 (8.1) and GAPPS from https://opengapps.org/# (ARM64/8.1/mini).
My android auto has same issue as OP.

Download your 8.1 package from 01 March 2018 and copy it on your phone..
(Go to the page where you can download it, scroll down, click on "OLDER RELEASES" and replace from the url "releases/" with "releases/tag/20180301")
I am not able to post outside links, because i registered especially for posting this solution...
Reboot your Phone into the Recovery mode.
Then "Wipe > Advanced Wipe > System"
After this go to "Advanced > File Manager" and delete all files that starts with "/data/app/com.google..."
Now you must install your Costum ROM again and install GAPPS which you copied on your phone. (User apps and data are retained)
:good:

Thank you for guidance.
I've tried to avoid system re-install and only deal with google apps.
Version of google play installed by 12/7 opengapps was 14.7.99 110400
First attempt: removed /data/app/com.google* via "adb shell" and flashed "pico" opengapps from 3/1/2018. (original gapps were mini)
After launching "auto" it requested "google play" update but app still failed with same error (after update).
After update I got google play version 14.7.99 090408 which looks lower than installed by 12/7 gapps.
2nd attempt: downloaded "stock" opengapps from 11/28 and create gapps-config.txt to exclude unwanted google application from "stock" but kept android auto from gapps package.
Again removed "/data/app/com.google..." and flashed gapps.
It asked to upgrade "google play" (because of gmail) and after upgrade Android auto worked !
