Same problem
For our device bootloader is unlocked by default...just flash recoverys through fastboot.
No need to play with oem unlocks.

There is no way of doing it at the moment, not sure there ever will be.

you can pay your carrier to have your device both simunlocked and bootloader unlocked
I m facing screen freeze even in stock Rom I already tried relock boot loader but screen freeze is there...my phone Asus zenfone 5 501cg 2GB RAM 8gb internal..anyone facing facing this prblm????I think we contact to original developer for unlock and relock boot loader tool for Redevelop.

does your phone properly relocked? check your ifwi version .

reboot into bootloader, you will see IFWI version there. your ifwi version should 59.29, 59.49 or 5963. not 59.A1 .

Tried to relock from unlock relock tool, but still IFWI version is 59.A1, what should I do?? Please help!!
Thinking to sell it off. Please reply asap! I'm on stock KitKat .54.

Again unlock bootloader and the lock by unlock relock tool provided by official Asus developers..

to unlock and relock bootloader your bootloader build must be 2014 build (that's unlockable and relockable bootloader) . 2015 build bootloader is not unlockable . kitkat .54 bootloader is 2015 build.

So it means my bootloader is locked?? How to check the status of it? If my bootloader is locked, then why am I facing screen freezes??

Tried to unlock and relock again the bootloader.
Now the ifwi version is 59.29. Will seek help if I face some issues.

since your ifwi version is now 59.29 . it is now locked . i'm pretty sure you will not face any freezing issues .

I think by installing super su on ur pc and then rooting ur phone is the best thing to FB cause it can be unrooten even !!?

Is that 3s plus is same as prime can I use twrp of 3s device?
First unlocked bootloader officially.
Second lookup this two tread for twrp: http://en.miui.com/thread-346365-1-1.html and flasher toolkit for land: http://en.miui.com/thread-346365-1-1.html
Third, after flashing the new rom, remember to disabled dm verification.
Forth, rooting just used twrp to flash superSU.zip.
Done and enjoying.

Open bootloader ONLY without ShopRom, else stuck at 50%.
If an ShopRom is installed, flash first with MiFlash an offical Rom in EDL-Mode = Vol+ and Powerbutton.

Asus official unlock tool is not working for me.

You can't install twrp with lock bootloader, you can't unlock den you can't , bad luck for you . If you want your phone to look good then try installing Xposed and mod it yourself
