[FIX][Flashable ZIP] All sensors stopped working - OnePlus 3T Guides, News, & Discussion

Good morning everyone (or good night )
A few weeks ago (suddenly) all the sensors on my smartphone stopped working, (proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, etc).
Look everywhere, I followed many guides and I could not make it work.
While searching I saw that several oneplus had problems with the sensors and the only solution they gave was to do a factory reset, hit the phone until it works :silly: or return it to the factory and wait for a replacement.
So I decided to check all the folders of the system and found the solution.
This .zip delete the sensor settings without wiping the data partition and also eliminates settings that aren't deleted with a full wipe (in persist folder).
The system will create these files again and the sensors will work again.
And here I leave them in the form of .zip flasheable.
I hope they solve the problem as I do.
Reboot in TWRP (Make a full backup) and flash the .zip
Downloads in attached files

Looking in the zip it looks like it's a matter of deleting a bunch of sensor folders, correct?
Would love a bit of an explanation on the whats and whys and the ins and outs..

Worked for my old Samsung galaxy note 3!

Oooh, I had some modules do this, had to flash stock again. Awesome!

Redmi note 7 with proximity sensor dead.
Flashed via TWRP and fixed the problem.
God Bless

The persist partition isn't mounted on current twrp (3.3.1-0).
Therefor
Code:
delete_recursive("/persist/sensors/sns.reg");
will do nothing. (Check the recovery.log after flashing - this may be the reason, why it's not working for @hasanin.xaidi)
Before messing with the persist partiotion it's mandatory to backup persist manually (twrp doesn't offer an option - use dd), or your device may end up like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/help/wifi-bluetooth-t3991339
BTW: unmounting data is a bad idea. Especially if the zip you are doing the unmount data in is stored in data (unmount will fail, because the device is busy).
EDIT:
busybox has been removed in newer twrp versions. So the mount command on data will fail - which doesn't hurt, since data is mountec anyway, if you flash a zip stored in data.
The zip needs some adjustment to newer twrp versions!

where is the file?
Cant find it there are no attachments as of now whats the matter?

[MOD]OpenRecovery XT720 01 (2011-08-30) based on Androidiani

This is a modified OpenRecovery (Skrilaz_CZ) based on Androidiani Recovery (89luca89&Azhad) with some enhanced features for Milestone XT720.
Features:
Main OR menu streamlined
Most Androidiani menu options have been moved into OR > Other Utilities
Add ext3/4 support (thanks fjfalcon)
Added SD Card Utility (OR > SD Card Utility)
Added preference for display brightness in OR (OR > Settings > Brightness)
Added utility to reinstall orbootstrap (OR > "Other Utilities" > "Re-install orbootstrap")
New sh hijack binary will boot to fastboot bootloader if volume-down is held (OR > "Other Utilities" > "Re-install orbootstrap" to enable). This should be compatible with all ROMs and stock.
nandroid: removed ability to backup partitions that always fail (this means "Backup All" works now)
Fixed OR > "Wipe Dalvik Cache" bugs (previous OR/AOR don't clear them all)
Added OR > "Power Off" (helpful when phone is being stupid about charging)
Minor update to sdcard-info.txt output
XT720 basebands added (OR > Change Basebands)
Please note that although most Androidiani menu options have been included in the Other Utilities menu item, that does *not* mean I have tested them on XT720.
Installation:
Download link: http://www.multiupload.com/J8Q15SHP4S
Root the phone
Download OpenRecovery-XT720-01.zip (it contains /sdcard/OpenRecovery and /sdcard/OpenRecovery.zip)
Extract OpenRecovery-XT720-01.zip onto the SD card. This will create a /sdcard/OpenRecovery directory and an /sdcard/OpenRecovery.zip file.
Make sure you're not in USB access mode and install the bootstrap (using adb or Terminal):
Code:
su
cp /sdcard/OpenRecovery/orbootstrap/install_script.sh /tmp
chmod 755 /tmp/install_script.sh
/tmp/install_script.sh STR
Upgrading from OpenRecovery:
Download link: http://www.multiupload.com/J8Q15SHP4S
Make a nandroid and backup your sdcard
Download OpenRecovery-XT720-01.zip (it contains /sdcard/OpenRecovery and /sdcard/OpenRecovery.zip)
Rename the old /sdcard/OpenRecovery folder to /sdcard/OpenRecovery.bak
Extract OpenRecovery-XT720-01.zip onto the SD card. This will create a new /sdcard/OpenRecovery directory.
Optional: Move/copy all files from /sdcard/OpenRecovery.bak/updates to the new /sdcard/OpenRecovery/updates directory
Optional: Reboot into OR. Select "OR" > "Other Utilities" > "Re-install orbootstrap"
Github: https://github.com/Mioze7Ae/openrecovery_xt720
Thanks: skrilax_cz, 89luca89, Azhad, fjfalcon
Is this the same update that was posted in other topics?
No, it's not the same, its the next version. The biggest difference is this one merges Androidiani (the previous one was based on vanilla OpenRecovery). Maybe I should bold the new stuff.
Sorry about this but what does Reinstalling the Bootstrap mean? Don't we already use that for getting in the bootloader? Is it is it gets broken somehow?

If the bootloader gets broken, you won't be in OpenRecovery
Anyway, I see two reasons to use it. (1) to make 100% sure you can get back to OpenRecovery after you've flashed something experimental (say a Milestone A853 update-based ROM) or (2) you want to upgrade your bootstrap to the new version that lets you hold volume-down to boot directly into the fastboot bootloader. (i.e. in the new version volume-up==OpenRecovery, volume-down==fastboot)
Edit: that reminds me... I should make a version of the bootstrap that fixes volume-down to boot OR on Milestone XT720 running Motoroi 50R...

Very very nice... thx man
Ok so I may have run into a glitch. Hopefully it is just mine, but it has been awhile since I had updated many of the apps from the market and let me tell ya, there was a shopping list. Haha get it. Anyways, I updated them all and decided it has also been some time since I had made a backup as well.
So I went in and "tried" to make a backup of the usuals (system, data, cust, cache, cdrom and sd). I probably tried 3 or 4 times and it never backed anything up. I even deleted the openrecovery folder and re-unzipped and replaced it and tried maybe another 3 times. It would just hang on the system dumping part for 15+mins (which is way too long).
I rebooted and put the original MZor back in there (the one w/o all the AOR stuff in it-for reference). Booted into recovery and boom, made the full backup in normal time. I ran checks on sd and sd-ext several times throughout and never a problem.
Has anyone else encountered this? I had been using this since it first came out and some of the utilites and all worked fine, but now that I think of it, hadnt tried to make a back up until last night.
***Side question: Since the beginning when I first learned how to make a backup, I read that you should backup system, data, cust, cache, cdrom and sd(if neccessary). My question is why do we and does it matter if we back up the cust, cache and cdrom parts? Wouldn't these get repopulated anyways at first boot? Would everything work if we just restored system, data and sd (again if neccessary)

@Mioze7Ae
can you please compile a standalone APK installer version of the new open recovery for XT720?
after reading the instructions i noticed, it requires an existing open recovery already installed to apply the above updates

I tried but my re-compiled version of the OpenRecovery.apk just FC'd.
Thanks for this Mioze7Ae, this is really sweet!
Am I missing out something here? I don't seem to be able to get the additional OR menu to convert to EXT4. I flashed back to Singapore 2.1 and have rooted. Removed the previous Open Recovery folder but where do I get the OpenRecovery.apk? Do I use back the previous version?
You can use Dexter's OpenRecovery.apk to install Open Recovery & then follow Mioze7Ae's instructions in the OP to update it.
Not sure what effect it even has, but the set timezone seems to be backwards ... Selecting GMT-7 runs /bin/timezone.sh GMT+7 and selecting GMT+7 runs /bin/timezone.sh GMT-7
Hey guys, hope you can provide me with a clearer instruction. I have done exactly as per the instructions and now when I boot into recovery, I don't see the extra option to convert to EXT4. The only things I see in the menu is:
Motorola MILESTONE XT720 Open Recovery
Version 1.46
Created by Skrilax_CZ
Use Volume Up/Down to highlight:
Camera_Mode key to select.
Main Menu
Reboot Menu
Settings
USB Mass Storage Mode
Nandroid
Application Menu
Run Script
Apply Update
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
What am I doing wrong? The phone is still running 2.1 update 1 but it's rooted.
It looks like you're running the original OpenRecovery. You need to replace the OpenRecovery folder on the sdcard with the version from the OpenRecovery-XT720-01.zip.
I think I can see how the instructions about renaming might be confusing so I tweaked the phrasing a little bit.
Thanks for the reply Mioze7Ae but I followed exactly as your instructions. Here's what I've done:
-Flashed singapore_STR_U2_01.1E.0
-Rooted with SuperOneClick
-Extracted and transferred to SD the OpenRecovery folder, OpenRecovery.zip and the original OpenRecovery.apk file.
-Ran OpenRecovery.apk
-Install Recovery System. Install Sucess.
-Recovery Boot and that's where it boots into the old OR.
It's the same if I use the OpenRecovery folder provided by hellmonger in The XT720 XDA Special Final RC2 "Hellmonger Edition"

Mioze, can you also add a wipe battery stats in your modified openrecovery? comes in handy when we flash a new rom or restore a nandroid so we dont have to use the battery calibrating app.

For those not in the know, it is recommended to update your recovery and essential if you plan to update to cm10. This fixes s file system corruption bug that shows up when expanding the partition in preparation for cm10.

Thanks for your installable zip! I had been trying to get things updated and couldn't get the uImage written to the /boot dir on my TP.
Went through adb (reinstalling drivers, connecting, etc.) then tried renaming and copying to /boot through ES File explorer with SU permissions, but it still wouldn't let me write to the /boot folder. I'm not quite sure why - I thought SU permissions allowed me to write to the /boot folder, but I guess not... I'll have to further investigate. I'm still noobish on quite a lot here.
Needless to say, your zip file helped and was finally able to get CWM6 updated on my TP. Thanks button pressed! :good:

I was hoping to get some feedback from the "more advanced" users testing this before creating an
installable zip and unleashing it on everyone. So far, virtually no feedback.
I flashed it and now I'm soft bricked. Can't boot into sk8's CWR6, CM10 or anything.
Lesson learned, ask developers before posting there work
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
It likely not the CWM6 that did it but the boot partition full. If you have an extra webos kernel, some moboot themes, TWRP, and then this new larger uImage for CWM you will likely run out of space.
Probably should put that warning here it's pretty important people realize it and/or add a script to remove TWRP, to prevent issues with this zip.
@jcsullins +1 Feedback. Installed your CWM uImage manually. Mounted as mass storage in CWM, copied files, Installed latest CM10 12/05(over older CM10 installed with Acme3), Installed Gapps, Installed Camera Preview 3 patch, Installed WEBCM10, cleared both caches in CWM and noticed no issues during all the processes.
I ACMEU wiped and ACME3'd the whole deal back on w/new recovery. It needed the clean up anyways and I had a NAND from yesterday.
Nice, thanks JC.

Thank you for taking the time to create this great new CWM6. I have been really enjoying the new looks and graphics. I have tested flashing different zips and Roms. I have made and restored Nandroid backups and even restored older CWM5 backups with CWM6. I do this to try and help but sometimes I really step in $#@# trying to help, like with the 4.2gapps.
Sorry about being so anxious to get this out to the public. I have had a lot of complaints about Bricked TouchPads and would like to get the word out about the problem and how to fix/prevent it.
I feel very responsible for the people affected due to me making an install video without knowledge of the corruption issue beforehand.
I wanted to make a video explaining that there was an issue but to fix it they can, Backup, uninstall, reinstall and restore. To prevent future issues I want to included this in my install instructions. They would of course need your New CWM6 to do this and I have been eagerly awaiting this fix.
Sorry about all my stupid mistakes, I get a bit over excited about Tech stuff at times. Please accept my sincerest apologies.

I'm sorry, but I didn't see your post in Rootzwiki or I would have posted there.
This cwm has worked flawlessly. I haven't had a chance to try all the new features, but the ones I did try worked fine.
Thanks so much for this. The old 5.0.2.6 was starting to show its age. I hope this cwm does away with the sporadic partitioning problems I'd been seeing.

In my limited testing to this point, I've not uncovered any issues. I flashed a couple of different roms, gapps and misc zipfiles and all were fine. I also made a nandroid and a subsequent restore which also worked fine.
I like the idea that that the default backup method was tar as opposed to dup, as I am more comfortable with that. Also, was pleasantly surprised to find that USB storage mount was working, I thought that this was "broken" in CWM 6.x. I transferred files back & forth on my PC with no problem.
The only oddity I came across was when trying to view the files in my nandroid backup folder in ES File Explorer, or the stock CM File Manager, the 2 android_secure.vfat.tar files were not visible. Yet they were visible in Root Explorer and of course, when I transferred it over to my PC for safekeeping, they were there.
That's about it for now. Great job as always, JC. Thanks.

New Backup Options
I am just trying some of the new backup options. It seems that we have a choice in the backup we make now, the Default is Tar and the 2nd option is Dup. There is also a "free unused backup data" option, since the backups appears to be in several files. I wanted to backup my backups but I am in over my head here and don't know much about the new backup options. Has anyone else had a chance to take a look? I like the spinning ball animation in the Androids stomach while I make and restore my backups:good: I can use my old CWM5 backups but now I don't know what to do about the new ones. Could anyone more experienced help me out please:fingers-crossed:

Hi Roland, hope all is well with you. I am not having a problem viewing my nandroid files on my PC, just from the apps I mentioned within Android.
Anyway, just a quick blurb on the 2 backup methods of .tar & .dup. Tar is what we are used to with the older CWM version, .dup is something new to CWM and fairly similar to the way a windows PC does backups. I'm no expert but in a nutshell, .tar backs up everthing each time you do a nandroid, .dup does incremental backups each time and stores the data in "blob" files which become very large. With the .dup method, because it's only doing incremental, backup time is faster than .tar but with the large "blob" folders of data, it's a PITA to move to your PC for safekeeping.
With all the flashing I do, I'm constantly moving nandroids back & forth, so I prefer .tar at this time. But as usual, YMMV. Take care.

Thank you very much for the detailed response. I’m feeling good now that I am starting to understand the new recovery. I also really liked having those individual .tar backups:good:, I made one for each version of CM. I wonder how .dup backups will affect the free space on my device. I also backup a lot but I did find that i was able to restore the older CWM5 backups without a problem. I will probably just keep the older CWM5 .tars for CM7, CM9 and do my CM10 backing up with the newer .dup. Time to transfer some backups:victory:
Can we maybe get rid of the link in op? Jc has stated this was only for testing, you shouldn't host a devs work without permission, and maybe for the fact of it will soft brick a TP? Just saying....
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
Sorry for possibly misunderstanding but is it recommended to use this yet due to possible corruption issues with older versions of CWM or only intended for testing atm? I've been meaning to ACME uninstall the TP and reinstall CM10 clean again and if this newer version of recovery is recommended for flashing I'll throw it on there while I'm at it
Thx JCSullins! :fingers-crossed:

Hello,
Sorry for that :/
I haven't seen your rootzwiki post and so far I was just willing to help users to install it
easily (seems that was my mistake :x) because after I gave it a try it solved the issues
I was having with the previous CWM one. There is just one thing that disturb me, in
Backup and Restore menu, 'choose backup format' should be rename in something like
"choose default backup format".
That's just my 2cents and besides this all functions work well, thanks for your hard work.
I'll remove the link from the OP post and wait for your public release
Sincerely, menthe.
Has anyone tried the adb sideload yet?
When attempting to sideload I get: * failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)' *
Any other adb commands I issue are met with "error:closed"
I am stuck here because I don't have a power button to do a hard reset... please someone tell me this function is working and I am just doing something wrong. My TP has a full charge and I don't feel like waiting 8hrs for it to die so it can be reset.
Edit: just took the whole thing apart and pulled the battery

[Flashable][GT-I9070] EMMC repartition

Hello, am new here so if I did something wrong please correct me OK
-presentation:
we all love running latest android versions and install big a** games like asphalt 8 and have all the Google apps that we love
But in Janice it's some kind of impossible to do all of that ( come on its only 4 years old!!)
As they say no impossible under the sun now you can easily increase system or data or what ever partition your want just by flashing a Lil file and without losing a single file
-Warning:
Me and XDA are not responsible for any soft hard leaks or what ever you are doing this by your self!!!
Make a full backup(system data boot) before starting..
DO NOT USE THIS FILE WITH ROMS THAT USE CACHE (CM10.2)
-Requirements:
1. Janice or Janice-p(not tested)
2. TWRP Recovery (Any Version)
3. The attached file
Instruction:
1. Download the repartition file
-rename the file with your favorite partition sizes like "lanchon-repit-20160317-system=1-data=max-cache=0.03125 wipe-preload=min wipe-fota=min wipe ext4-sdcard=2-janice.zip" which means 1gb system 2gb sdcard and the rest will go to data partition so you will be able to install more apps
2. Boot into TWRP and make a backup
3. Flash the repartition file of your desire
4. Take a nap or watch big bang theory just waste some time
5. When the script finish restore your backup and reboot
6. Enjoy your games or what ever

If you want a file with your own sizes just write or in comments and i'll do my best to offer it to you
hi,
thanks for the guide! a couple of comments:
1) i suggest people get REPIT from its main site:
https://github.com/Lanchon/REPIT
the files posted here are already very old, i've updated REPIT several times.
also, i only provide support for the latest version. older versions are unsupported.
2) if you download the files from here, they will not work.
(XDA messes with the filenames changing = for -)
3) you don't need to backup anything unless you want to revert the flashing of the kernel.
4) you don't need to flash any particular kernel to run REPIT, you just need a recent TWRP build.
5) TWRP with gparted is not needed anymore: REPIT now bundles gparted and other tools.
6) the configurations proposed here are incorrect. you should use:
a) if you want 3GB data and rest as internal sdcard:
-system=1.0-data=3.0-cache=0.03125+wipe-preload=min+wipe-fota=min+wipe+ext4-sdcard=max.zip
b) if you have an external sdcard, and want 6GB data and a very small internal sdcard:
-system=1.0-data=max-cache=0.03125+wipe-preload=min+wipe-fota=min+wipe+ext4-sdcard=0.0625+wipe.zip
then your internal sdcard will be useless. so you need to swap internal and external sdcards as detailed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ment/mod-internal-memory-repartition-t2863629
these configurations will keep contents of system and data. if you don't care about their contents, configure wiping (add '+wipe') for those partitions and REPIT will repartition much faster then.
7) read REPIT manual before using!

Yeah thank you updated OP
first of all thank you both
just to be sure, i have a couple of questions:
- how much space does a full backup take?
- what is the limit to the repartition? right now i'd like to add one gigabyte to system for apps, which numbers do i need to write in the zip name?
- what does the "wipe preload" and "wipe fota" strings do?

In TWRP it will be around 500-600mb with compression
lanchon-repit-20160317-system=1-data=max-cache=0.03125 wipe-preload=min wipe-fota=min wipe ext4-sdcard=2-janice.zip
Just rename the file to this and your will have 1gb system 2gb SD card and the rest well go to data if you want to edit a partition size for example the number 1 after system means the system will be 1gb and the number 2 in front of SD card means the SD card will be 2gb and max in front of data means the rest well go to data partition
Preload and fota are partition used in only stock ROMs and stock based ROMs so if you are running a custom ROM this will give you more space in the partition your set to max
thanks to both devs, i have one question is it compatible with cm13 ?
will i be able to re-size F2fs or i need a EXT4 to use this tool .
i just did everything but i'm not sure it worked
i used this name for the flashable zip
lanchon-repit-20160317-system=1-data=max-cache=0.03125 wipe-preload=min wipe-fota=min wipe ext4-sdcard=2-janice
but in system info it still says that data is 3.91GB, and i have 1.84GB for SDcard
maybe i should have gone further and give 3GB to SDcard?

Yup it works if your wanna check system download a small app called disk info
If you want 3gb on sdcard change the 2 number in front of it this will give you 2gb on data

Yup 100%
Make a backup first and when resizing all partitions will be formated to ext4 then restore your backup it will automatically format them to f2fs

Can someone here confirm that the kernel cm12.1 (OP) can be installed in the latest CM11 ROM by epirex? And if repit could work after 12.1 Kernel installed in CM11 ROM? Thanks in advance.

First make a backup with your cm11's kernel then flash cm12.1 kernel then flash the script and the kernel doesn't t care about your current rom so it should work every where

Forgotten pattern - how to unlock phone without loosing data

Don't ask me how, but I somehow set pattern and forgot it in one hour. I use face rec. as well but after reboot I need to unlock with pattern.
For last 10h I tried all methods how to unlock phone, but no success.
I'm using original, ROM, my G6 model is H870, running Pie, unlocked bootloader, so I can use TWRP. I spent most of my time and knowledge to unlock phone with adb/twrp. Best option I found is to delete gesture.key file which is located under /data/system.
Problem is, that /data is encrypted ...
Is there anyone who managed to remove pattern/lock without loosing data?
Thank you for your time!

Non of this solutions work.
This is pretty the same as I said. My problem is that /data is encrypted and I can't find/see any .key files.
Also I can't do "su" command inside adb shell because of "insuff. privileges" ...
I tried all this solutions:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49666433#post49666433
For method 1 -5 there is a problem with .key files which are not seen to my TWRP/Aroma browser. I don't know If I'm doing anything wrong in method 7, but also after mount I can't access /data/system (/data is empty).
In method 6 I'm stucked on
"Run pull settings.db.cmd inside By-pass security Hacks folder to pull out the setting file out of your phone." step.
I get "insuff. privileges" error.

Have you tried this?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/remove-lockscreen-recovery-t3530008
Basically, the files you have to delete in the /data/system folder in TWRP are:
password.key
pattern.key
locksettings.db
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db-wal
It happened to me a while ago and I didn't have any '.key' files either; I just deleted the rest and when I booted up, I had no lock screen security PIN nor registered fingerprints but could re-set them again through security settings. I didn't need to flash any files nor fiddle around with adb commands, and all my data remained untouched...
If you can't find all those five files or the '.key' files, just delete the ones you can find and it should work. Otherwise, you'll probably have to do a full reset and reinstall...

Sounds like your data folder is not mounted when you boot to TWRP... Have you checked? Reboot to TWRP, select the Mount option; data should be ticked by default. It it isn't, select it, go back to TWRP file manager, and see if you can now browse folders and files...

Last comment on that thread says the solution also works on Havoc Os 2.9, which is based on Pie... Maybe that person wasn't encrypted to begin with, but, if it doesn't work for you, I guess then the only way to go is a full reset... Good luck!

Yep, I saw that post ... I relly don't have any more ideas. Should be inside "mount modul" in TWRP /data listed?
I only have System, Cache and SD ... and i can check System only if i check bottom "mount system partition read-only" option.
But that's nothing to do with /data.

Data option should show. At least it does on mine... You can maybe try updating Twrp version?
I'm on last TWRP.... Meantime I already made full reset ....
If you have encrypted data partition, you're pretty much banned from messing with it, unless you manage to exploit your way through the adb, which requires you to have it enabled and in trust relation with your PC to begin with.
The way I'd go around this is to place an "always yes su" binary and perform pattern removal process through init.d or similar solution. In case if su commands are restricted, kernel with permissive SELinux needs to be flashed.
On a side note, isn't this Q&A?
I also had a problem with data folder not being mounted when booting to TWRP. I tried a full reset and immediately i have access to the Data folder (but theres nothing left inside so this is kinda useless). Then later when i did a reboot into the TWRP it happened again, couldnt access to anything even when the "mount Data" option is ticked, only until i did the full reset again that it could finally work.
It turned out the problem is with the TWRP itself, i flashed another custom recovery (OrangeFox-R10-Stable-h870, which is btw a better recovery than TWRP in my opinion) and the problem never occurred again.
So either try out that new Recovery or a different version of TWRP and see if it solves the problem. And always, ALWAYS, make a full backup of all your data before messing with anything (i had to learn that the hard way so trust me).
Do this,
- you should know that I am using "orange fox recovery" not "twrp",and stock "pie"
- reboot to recovery and go to system/data
- delete this files:
gatekeeper.password.key
gatekeeper.pattern.key
locksettings.db
-reboot the phone and that's it.

Cant Install anything after OTA update

Hi, I cant get to install any roms on my phone after updating via OTA (Lineage 17.1)
I can access to twrp but when I try installing any rom half bar is completed and after that, it crashes and boot loop.
I have tried to install different roms but same result. Can anyone help please?
Already tried:

Restore firmware via fastboot flash.
Change SD card
Installed 3 different stock roms via fastboot and they boot but after few seconds reboot on setup (Gboard and maps apps crash warning)

Please rename it from recovery.log => recovery.txt or .zip it to upload the file here.

This log doesn't show anything about your error. Reproduce the error and than grep the log.
Ok done, here is what I did:
Wiped side b (to make sure there's no other rom installed), then tried to install pixel experience rom and the twrp crash at mid bar happened again. (Same process as shown in screenshot)
After that rebooted to twrp and created the log.

Ok, due to the crash TWRP does not record the error. But you can try this :
Before you are going to flash the ROM connect your device with your PC. Open ADB cmd line and first of all check the connection with
Code:
adb devices
After that run
Code:
adb logcat >> recovery.txt
When TWRP crashes you'll find the recovery.txt inside of your ADB folder on your PC.

The connection is ok but logcat isn't included in TWRP.
Ok, next try:
When TWRP crashes check connection again with adb devices. Got a connection? Then go ahead with
Code:
adb pull /tmp/recovery.log recovery.txt
and upload it here.

A reboot clears the log so I still got no information. Either you grep the log when TWRP crashes or the log buffer will be cleared with next reboot.
How did you wipe slot b?

Ok, this time what I did is to run the pull command just before the crash (at mid bar) I tried to run it at the freezing but obviously the communication with the device was suspended.
I hope this made any difference.

What I mean by saying wiping slot b is selecting it via twrp and then wipe data, cache, system etc.

The log ends at 40% of your installation process but no error is shown.
All I would recommend is to flash the stock ROM and download a new Pixel ROM (from official source!). Since it's not possible to take any logs showing your error I don't have a better solution for that.
This process is a Google implementation and not a simple flash script like older ROMs use it. So it's really hard to find an error, even if you know the complete Java source (and I don't ).
Wiping slot _b: There's no need to wipe data for that. Your data partition has got no slots, it's only /data.
Let me explain you in short what's the meaning of all those options:
cache = /data/cache
dalvik-cache = /data/dalvik-cache
internal = /data/media
data = all of /data, except 'media' (internal storage) directory
So, you can see that those options for choosing what to wipe are all stored under /data. The easiest way to wipe them all together would be to format data completely. One step and you're done! If you like to...

I have tried to flash 3 different stock roms via fastboot. They boot but then the system crashes at setup and reboots. I get warnings that maps and gboard stoped unexpectedly.
Honestly I dont know what else to try, the only thing I did is to update via OTA (didnt know I shouldtn have) =(
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g6-plus/development/rom-pixel-experience-t4069215 this is the rom Im trying to install and it's an official release.
If I format data instead of wiping will I lose twrp recovery?

Your Pixel ROM is fine, it's the official release.
Format /data or wiping /data completely is nearly the same. Both methods will erase all stored data. But format will build up a new partition. It's like formatting a USB-Stick in Windows for example.
But none of them would delete your recovery. TWRP is a part of /boot (boot.img) which is only another partition besides /data.
As long as you're not able to boot up your device with the stock ROM you won't be able to boot the Pixel ROM, too. Pixel is only a overlay for stock.
Which three stock ROMs did u try to flash? Build no and source/links would be helpful.
This is the current build for your device: (software channel RETLA is guess??)
XT1926-6_EVERT_RETLA_DS_9.0_PPWS29.116-11-23
Download it and flash it with the attached flashfile.bat (for uploading purposes I had to zip it)
The commands are taken from the flashfile.xml inside the firmaware .zip

I flashed it via fastboot the flash didn't show any errors.
The phone starts and says "verity mode disabled", then this happened:

Oh... that doesn't look good at all!
It seems to be a kind of hardware failure and not only a software bug. Was the OTA update that led to your problem successful?
Boot into TWRP and see if you could find some logs in /sys/fs/pstore and /data/vendor/dontpanic.

Yes de OTA update was successful, the phone worked flawlessly the whole day(Wednesday) without problems, then I went to sleep that day and when I woke up my phone was bricked. (No I didn't drop my phone or anything like that) These are the files I found on the pstore folder (nothing on the dontpanic folder)

After some research I found posts about the same issue as me :
https://forums.republicwireless.com/t/screen-flickering-with-moto-g-6/21309
So If it's a hardware problem wow just wow. I only have had this phone for nearly 2 months and It's already dying? (Never dropped it or anything like that)
I'll never buy anything from motorola again for the rest of my life.

I guess it could be hardware issue because a full factory image like I linked above covers almost all of your device. You get the kernel and all drivers.
I'll study your logs later that day.
