Hey guys, so I have been noticing what looks like to be dust or adhesive marks on my screen. Going diagonally and even on the bezzel. I only noticed this after taking off my gpel protector for warranty on the glass protector. I dont notice these marks unless in direct sunlight and it doesn't show when watching anything on the phone. I wiped with alcohol wipes and it dissapaeared but it comes backs after a while. It is not scratches or I'd feel it. Just weird.
Anyone know what it could be?

So I just took off the peel off protector on my phone and immediately noticed a scratch about 1/4" long on the center of the screen. I was pretty pi55ed since it had to be a factory born issue. So I was about to put a new screen protector on it that I have for my iPhone but I all of a sudden noticed what looks to be a pre-installed factory set screen protector on the screen? If you look near the glass edge, you will see a lip or edge where there seems to be a film placed on the phone. Correct me if incorrect but it cannot be a permanent film as it would not be recessed from the glass screen's edge if it was. So that scratch is nothing but the films surface and not the glass itself then, I hope!
There is a thread or threads already on here regarding the pre applied screen protector on the phone. Yes you can peel this off and yes there is a pre applied protector on it. Some say taking it off increases the response of the screen.
Well sheit, sorry for the additional noob post then lol. Good to know as every other company I have used never puts one on..bonus for Sony. I will leave it as the screen on mine is way too sensitive already!
I wouldnt peel it off if I were u! I mean if it is there it must be for something.
Before some blighter on a motorbike nicked my G2, I noticed it had a terrible tendency to get scratched on the screen. Just very small ones, but very noticeable close up.
Has anyone else got this problem?
I also noticed a few hairline thin scratches on my screen. That's why I know have a screen shield on
Sent from my LG-VS980
I use it without screen protector and case and nothing in my lcd. the gorilla glass make great job
Heeyoo!!
So I got the otterbox alpha glass screen protector for my s7 edge and I am really bothered by the dust under it. I didn't install it the person at the store did. So besides the dust the screen protector has been great, it fits cases fine and its sensitivity is pretty good and its clear.
So I noticed a dust spot near the edge, its black and looks like its on the protector itself and not the screen (it is near the more stories arrow in this picture): http://imgur.com/a/bP2TG
Is this just dust/lint or is it something else, it doesn't look like grit to me.
Also recently I saw this piece of dust and It does seem either it just flew in or was there beforehand I didn't notice (its near the flash): http://imgur.com/a/gfxN8
This looks like lint or something.
I don't want to take the protector off unless it breaks or if the adhesive stops working and it peels off, so should i be worried about screen damage if I keep it on? I am just extremely paranoid...
Heh guys so the story is I went from an alpha glass tgsp to a gpel one. It was running good till in tried putting it into my caselogy wavelength case, despite being slim it cracked the protector. Suffice to say in running the screen with no protector. I have been noticing these streak marks only in direct light. They are slanted and go past the screen to the top bezzle. I can't seem to wipe it off, but fingerprints cover it up. it doesn't seem to be scratches as I can't feel anything and they are too thick so if I was a scratch it would atlest feel uneven. I didn't drop the phone screen first either and I had no contact with glass shards or sand so is this some adhesive or the coating of the screen ??
Just got one this weekend. I got a decent glass screen protector. I applied it and noticed lines under the protector form and not go away. It looks as if there is moisture or grease...or maybe adhesive from the dust removal sticker I used on the screen prior to putting the glass on. Nothing changed in 24 hours, so I took it off and the line marks were ghosted onto the underside of the glass protector. And I had to scrub remnants of the lines off the screen itself. I used the second of 2 glass protectors after really cleaning and drying. Same thing.
I took the protector off and cleaned the screen. Upon inspecting, I find that holding the phone on a certain angle, there are ripple lines on the screen. It's like the screen isn't flat (that may be the problem of the lines under the protector?) It's like the screen is wavy..but symmetrical wavy. I've looked at a co workers Note 8 and I dont see this wave pattern on the screen.
Is anyone noticing this or familiar? I am attaching 2 photos. One showing what happens with the glass protector. Then another with the glass off. I had to angle the phone just right. You can see the ripple if you look at the reflection of the white window frame in the photo.
Thoughts?

My screen has similar waves on it when looking at an angle. I think that's just a side effect of the gorilla glass. I haven't used a screen protector on it though, can't help you there...

Ohh boy. You better put something on it. This screen is SO susceptible to scratches, its pathetic. I used the phone for 2 days before my first glass protector came and I already had 3 small scratches on the screen. I had the phone in a felt lined pouch the whole time....never was dropped or used by anyone else but me.

Yeah there's plenty of those marks on it, but only noticeable when looking with the screen off. While the screen is on, it's not noticeable. My main concern is fractures, in that sense, it's sturdy.
