Any major bug in history build? How is battery life/SOT?
The rom is very good, audio quality is awesome, battery life is good too. But after some days I have little lag and performance get worst. Try mokee but you don't like, I recommend another ROM MM: XOSP 6.3 FINAL VERSION with XOSPapps and AMR 6.0 PICO gapps.

Hey,
I search for the most optimized costum rom for my redmi 2. I saw a big performance boost when I switched from miui8 to cm13. does exist a more optimized rom as cm13 with even longer battery time and with less lag?
I would like to use a rom which is easy and where you can change a lot. the music player is important for me too.
Is redmi 2 and redmi 2 prime same
Each developer gives their at most effort to make a custom ROM that is best for our smartphone. So at first we have to greatful to every one of them.
If u want good performance and customization option, try DU ,zephyr or aicp.

I agree with you. When I Switched from MIUI to CM13, I experienced better performance and better battery life. CM 13 for Redmi 2 is best ROM regarding performance and customizability. But, I think the Dirty Unicorn ROM for Redmi 2 Outperforms CM13 for Redmi 2. I am using Dirty Unicorn from last month and triumphal with the performance and battery backup. Also, the Dirty Unicorn is based on CM Theme Engine and AOSP, so we get customizability and Pure Android UI.
In my Opinion, The Dirty Unicorn is optimized ROM for Redmi 2.
Two Recommendations ...
In the category of Optimized ..
Xosp - Fully Customized , No bloatware , may flash The Xperia Apps on your own , longer battery Life and a Lag less Environment
Xiaomi.eu ROM - this is the best MIUI ROM you can get for your Device , trust me .. bloatware fully Removed , Google Apps Removed , Smooth like a Butter , Font Change Option Available , Based on latest Firmware , Regular Updates (once a month) .. try this a You'll love it
Isn't there any ROM on which we can get same sound quality as of stock MIUI ROM??

The CyanogenMod is as good as Stock MIUI but provides better customization features than MIUI. I am using the CM13 on my Redmi 2 and never faced any problem. I am happy after replacing the MIUI7 with CM13.
Here are the features of CyanogenMod OS, if you are interested. Top CyanogenMod Features
I also tried the Dirty Unicorn ROM. It was a fantastic ROM. It is highly optimized ROM for Redmi 2. I never faced any battery backup issue while using the Dirty Unicorn ROM. The MIUI is little less optimized for battery usage.
How about Resurrection Remix?
Who is the best between CM13 vs RR vs DU???

Mokee has ads and a lot of bloatware. It has a Chinese base which I despise a lot. Hell, it takes up more space on the system partition than any other custom ROM!
I have flashed quite a lot of ROMs on my device from both Android 6.0.1 and Android 7.1.1. So far, best marshmallow experience was with CM13 20161031 build and best nougat experience was with CM14.1 20161225 build. You see, these ROMs not only provide great battery backup but they also have their share of necessary customization features which I loved a lot. And yes, if you want to try MIUI best choice would be to go for xiaomi.eu ROMs. Also, Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime has the same board wt88047. So any ROM for Redmi 2 is compatible with Redmi 2 Prime and vice versa. Happy flashing!!:good:
Try Validus for good battery backup and use viperv4 or any other sound mod if you want music and try lineage os for stock experience it has heating issues for now, try in next update.
Custom rom: Tesla, Mokee and LineageOS
Miui rom: Miui 6.6.3.0 or another by Xiaomi.eu is amazing! The more beautiful at all. Very good battery backup!
RR N OMS :good: insane battery backup with full features and OMS.

I tried DU, RR ,cm 13,cm14.1 and newest lineageOS.....I must say that lineageOS is by far best in terms of battery and performance

Is this the ROM (attached screenshot) you are talking about? I am facing high battery drain with this ROM.
Hello everybody, just wanted to share my honest review of using custom ROMs on OnePlus X and below are my reviews of a few ROMs :-
1. AOSP_JDC Team: The battery backup and performance are good, and there is no lag. The ROM is stable and fluid.
2. AOSP Oreo 8.1: As usual the performance is good, battery backup is ok and there is no lag.
3. Lineage OS 15.1: Seriously I had a very bad experience with this ROM. When I flashed it there were no issues, the battery backup was excellent but suddenly after half an hour the message kept popping up "android.process.acore keeps stopping", I also flashed the latest build not of any use.
4. Resurrection Remix 5.8.3: This ROM is also good but for me there was Data Connection error.
Currently I'm back on Stock ROM. Its not 100% stock because I modified the stock rom by rooting and using magisk modules. I also flashed Viper4Arise_Sony_Stock_Edition to increase the sound quality.
I'm happy on my modified stock rom. Currently not planning to flash any custom rom. :good:

Viper OS nougat, not the latest one but one version back. Best performance and battery balance. For sound, you can flash Dolby or Arise or any other mod.
RR v5.8.3..
Android N..
Excellent Battery Life..
No drain on Standby..
Performance is also best..
Latest ROMS released by @dev_harsh1998 and @Has.007 or you may consider KK based ROM that I've released.
For naught flash RR 5.8.5 for Oreo Viper os AOSVP

I'm a long time using XOSP Nougat and out of flashing scene and i'm thinking of using Oreo on my device now.
Which Oreo rom is running more stable and smooth even with a good number of user apps installed?
I'm using LineageOS 15.1 (latest build). It works well. It's more responsive now compared to Nougat (thanks to Android Go). Battery life is the same, although if you modify the cpu governor to make it less likely to go at high frequencies you can expect a bit more.

You could try reflashing your ROM from TWRP or any other recovery installed . Make sure you wipe Dalvik Cache / Cache before you flash the ROM again .
Well as far as I have tested in my Xperia SP(C5302) , my top-picks for Oreo ROMs are:
1. XenonHD - It is the fastes Oreo ROM on Xperia SP I have tested yet . I did face a bit of heavy battery draining , but after flashing a custom kernel , the combo was perfect!
2. Lineage OS - I did not face a single issue with this ROM yet and the battery backup is also good.
3. Cosmic OS - Its based on AOSP and is pretty smooth

what custom kernel you flashed?
It's been a while since I was here...
Great to see the active development still, I'm picking up a SP next week & was wondering what ROM is best for smoothness & speed, but with battery life in mind, I'm not looking for flagship performance of course, but I want the quickest & smoothest definitely, up to now I'm hearing it's XenonHD is this correct?,
Also the ROM needs to have AdrianDC's music light effects implemented, this is a absolute must as this is something that was missing in the earlier years of development when I first had the SP, link attached below https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73049970&postcount=399
Thanks in advance guys for any help & recommendations
LineageOS 15.1 has the music light effects, and it runs good for me.

Lineage OS 15.1 is too laggy and sluggish.
Go with Adrian's AOSP Oreo. It has light effects included, does fine with Pico GApps. Smooth and good battery life.
Edit: After flashing the 27/02 build, it runs very good and smooth. Maybe it was a dodgy flash.
Hello everyone, this is my first post here.
I just installed Lineage OS 14 because my Android 5 was frustratingly laggy, glitchy and slow.
And it works really fast, BUT the battery is a mess. I don't want to use the phone like this.
Which ROM works well and does not drain the battery that quick? I am not going to continue to use Lineage, this sucks.
Hello! For me the best rom is AICP 12.1. I have great battery life with this rom. But my battery is new.

When you type gapps at google you can see this adress here -> https://opengapps.org/ , you need 7.1 from there .
You can download the rom from here -> https://www.solidfiles.com/v/PrvpqNmy748QR
Flash the rom if you are with d802 only !
I'm currently testing with crDroid 4.6 with OREO and i enjoy it.
It's really alot faster than my previous Lollipop 5.0.2 stock rom version.
I use same apps than previously, and the battery consumption is about the same, i don't charge it more than once a day ( except if i use too much for gaming purposes lol ).
PS : such as MachiavelliBs, i changed my battery a month ago. And my comparison is reliable. I don't use many synced app's, so when i shutdown screen, only my mail and another app are synced online.
