No. You need to boot it from the SD card with magldr, so you need to reboot the phone. Can't do it directly from WP7.

[AOSP 6.0] Can't Access SD Card, Recovery Mode

Hey all,
Let me start off by saying I would have posted this here, but I couldn't due to forum rules. It's because I am noob (less than 10 posts!)
I flashed AOSP 6.0 on my S4 as per the instructions on the above thread, and the ROM is great! Aside from a few bugs/battery issues. :good:
My problem is that my computer does not detect my external SD card, and I cannot boot into Recovery Mode. I have tried the following:
Reformatting the SD Card
Ejecting the SD Card
Recovery Boot using the standard method (press and hold VolUp, Home, Power)
Recovery Boot using Terminal Emulator
Please help! :crying:
Solved
I gained wifi access and installed a reboot app from the play store. That got me back to recovery mode where I could flash AOSP 5.1.

Moto E4 HardBoot - qcom 9008

XT1766 hardbrick stuck in 9008 mode would normally require a blankflash. However, as is common in most Motorola models there is a boot from SD option that is automatically defaulted to in the case that the bootloader has been deleted or damaged. To use this boot from SD option, simply extract the bootloader to a blank SD card and insert it into the phone then reboot. Whenever the phone reboots it will use the bootloader on the SD card as the default loader.
Here is a bootloader provided to me (Untested)
