I dont see a dedicated forum section for this particular model "G906".
Will I be able to root??? Are there any roms that work on this model??

There is a thread in general section which has a working root. But there isn't much of anything else in terms of resources.

I am planning to buy this mobile. But I visited the mobile forum here on xda and see no roms for this variant. There's also a section unified development. So wanted to ask whether rom in that section can be flashed on this variant or no?

I HAVE done some research, but am getting no where.
I'm just asking for some help - or for someone to point me in the right direction-

Hey mate, your device model indicates its a verizon one. This forum is for international exynos variant. Always search for your correct forums before posting. Ask it here :

Even this sub forum is for guides etc, not for help. Please post in relevant forums and subforums to get applicable solutions. And be sure to read the rules if you are a new user
As for your question, search or post on your relevant forum, your model has snapdragon processor and it has a locked bootloader. There was a method to root snapdragon variants using engineering kernel etc but I am not updated with the latest development on snapdragon variants. Search on your relevant forum for more info. Good luck
