I have a Ford Fusion 2015. Is anybody else having the same issue?
Did it ever connect to the fusion? If so delete it from the car and re-add it.

No, but I've been able to add other devices. I've deleted all devices from the car, and it still can't connect.
Try a master reset in the fusion. https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync...n/settings/how-to-perform-a-master-reset.html

I have a Ford EcoSport and am experiencing the same. Did you manage to sort it out?

OTA'd the 5.1 update (M) on 3/26/15.
Since then, contact addresses fail to appear on vehicle displays over Bluetooth.
Rebooted phone / Forgot and paired phone to vehicle, no fix.
Phone is paired to 2 vehicles with the same results.
Can anyone confirm this?
@steve841,
I do not see addresses in either of my vehicles.

Are you confirming or do your cars just not show addresses?

Confirming.
Edit: I don't use the address and navigation very much. I was thinking about this more last night. I'm not sure that I ever checked with 5.0 in these two cars. Sorry if this mis-led you.
Has anyone managed to get this fixed at all?
I have been able to pair my nexus 6P with my BMW but i am only able to sync Contacts and phone calls. Bluetooth music is not an option on either device during pairing. Any suggestions?

Have you tried going to Bluetooth settings and making sure it is selected for music

Yes Gizmoe. Under settings it only has the following under "use for": Phone audio, Contact Sharing. Music is not an option. I also updated the BMW software to the latest code as well.
6P is rooted and running 6.0.0 currently!

Are you running on stock or on a custom rom? Have you tried stock 6.0.1 to see if it works? Could just be a limitation of the BMW software.
Looks like other phones are working just fine with it. I will try My iPhone and S5 later to see if they work. I know BMW has been finicky in the past with certain devices. Ill also update to 6.0.1 to see if that helps as i know some bluetooth changes were made in that update!
Ill report back once i do these checks.
Edit: Running Stock.

After freshly flashing 9 using factory image, every thing is running fine but bluetooth connection to my car. Anyone?
I never had this issue with 8.1 and even 9 beta.
With Official 9, my phone takes long time to detect bluetooth devices (or needs reboot to detect) (i had this issue with Pixel XL too) but with my PH-1, it cannot detect my car mazda6 2014 at all.
Anyone has this issue? or know the fix ?
Thanks in advance.
Solution:
thanks to all to helped.
1st solution:
go to "previously paired devices" and remove ur car if there is one already and try again
2nd solution:
remove all the paired devices from phone history and try again.
Works fine for me.

Did you clear all the data for Bluetooth and get rid of paired devices?
That might help. I had issues and needed to get rid of all previous connections.
Factory reset.

I had the exact problem with my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. The trick that did it for me is,
1) Pair the phone with the car. Car will most likely say "connection failed". If the car is already in the paired list, "forget it" then re-pair.
2) Reboot the phone and try re-connecting on the car again. Don't delete the car from the phone's paired list this time. Leave it as is.
3) It should be able to connect now.
I am seeing an issue as described by the OP. I paired up the phone successfully on my Subaru WRX 2015, but the phone doesn't connect automatically subsequently. I've not had time to check extensively but it seems that it's no longer able to connect to the car again.
Wondering if there is any way to get AA working wirelessly as it does with a pixel.
Now that we have root etc. I wasn't ensure if that's something that could be modded.

The bigger issue isn't getting the phone to support it, it's getting the head unit in your vehicle to support... And almost none do. Last I looked into this, not a single auto manufacturer puts a compatible unit in their vehicles. Only option was aftermarket 3rd part head units.

Just tried in my car and the wireless android auto will not work. No issues using the cable but no to on the wireless.
I'm rooted, could that be an issue??

Not as far as I know of. Would be pretty odd for root to make wireless not work when wired does.
I have a pioneer head unit and wireless Android auto works on my unrooted 6t

Nothing special at all. I just paired it like normal. I'll do it again tomorrow and see if I can be more specific as to exactly what I did
All I noticed from the article was a direct link to the play store. I already have the android auto app installed on my device (OnePlus 6t) I'll have to do go to the link in my 6t

Perhaps there is an issue with root and procfs security bug....
You can read about it here: https://www.xda-developers.com/procfs-leak-lg-oneplus-huawei-xiaomi-asus/

Thanks for the info! I am going to try to hide root within magical with AA and then see if I can get it to work.

I wanted to resurrect this thread as I can't get it to work. I have a Kenwood DMX905S and am able to get it to work via wired AA, but not wirelessly. Trying to figure out what I am missing.

I have the exact same stereo and cannot get it too work. I'm rooted and not sure if that's the issue??
The only thing I'm thinking is it's something in the coding of the app itself. I have a OP6T and it doesn't work either. It really makes no sense that it doesn't work
I've been told that once your phone has been upgraded to Pie it should work. Is that the case or is it restricted to just the pixel line?
Anyone mange to get AA wireless to work with DMX905s. Getting mixed results it seems?

Hi, I am also facing same issue, if I connect bluetooth manually then Apple CarPlay doesn't play music.
Finally after trying lot of switch on/off found the solution. In my system there is CAR SETTINGS option in this I turned on "force to small speaker". Now I can hear all calls on Carplay only disadvantage it is using one small speaker of car.

I finally got it working. Simply remove the t-link app from navigation default app in the settings.
