download now Acer_AV041_A500_1.031.00_WW_GEN1.zip to test.
You guys keep posting the WW_GEN1 files. We are specifically looking for COM_GEN1 files.
Right, if anyone have it please post the link, thanks.

What's the difference? I'm in the USA and just got the WW_GEN1 last night. Installed it from SD card and everything is working fantastic.
Thanks,
X
The difference is the WW is a leaked version that does not have the full implementation of what Acer is releasing as far as I know anyway. Either way people want the real OTA I am guessing so they can test root and what not.
Because the ww version is missing features and has a few bugs!!

I believe you are MISTAKEN. On this thread, on the first post at the top of the page, a guy lists his rom version after completing the OTA update and it shows a WW version. This was the OTA update from like yesterday or the day before! Can't be a leaked version. Maybe WW stands for worldwide?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315683&page=20
EDIT: You are definitely wrong. There are many people who posted screens of the settings screen AFTER they did the OTA update and they are all showing the WW GEN 1 image.

Within that thread I posted is the update file that someone posted after receiving the OTA update. So that file IS the OTA update. And that's the one I'm using with no issues. Not sure if that helps.

So, shortly after activation my G2 on VZW stated there is an available OTA update. I'd like to do TWRP not immediately but shortly to allow customization. Is this update safe? Does anyone know if it patches the Loki recovery trick?
Thanks for any info, I'm looking forward to joining the LG family!

I have the same question. Its good to know....
Current root methods work with the update as of now. No worries. I took the update when I bought my phone 3 weeks ago, and have had no issues.
Thanks Devs. From my VZW G2.

Have y'all received an Android 5.1.1 OTA yet? If not, could you please keep an eye out for the OTA notification, and when you get it, grab the URL to the ZIP file before you update? If you don't know how, I can help you out. I need it for my Stock OTA URL ref thread.
Thanks!

No, it was the build that was shipped on Nexus 6s purchased from Project Fi. It was never released as an OTA to other Nexus 6s in the wild.

5.1.1 was NOT shipped with ProFi N6. Mine came with 5.1 installed. ProFi CSR's said I would receive the update via OTA within a couple weeks of activating service. Some ppl on the G+ ProFi private page have stated that they got the update to 5.1.1 right after activating service. I did not. There was a poll done about it and out of all the votes up until this point less than 20% said they received the update.

I know. LVY47H is 5.1, not 5.1.1. That's why I'm looking for an OTA for my thread.
Gotcha! Hope I can help! U may get it quicker if u post on the G+ ProFi page.
I got a replacement phone too with
LVY47H. I sent them a tmobile phone and they sent me a phone with this build number. I did not by a project Fi it was a replacement from Motorola. I too am a little confused whether or not I'll get an update or only if I activate the service. I have already been bypassed on a t-mobile OTA and I guess I'll have to just flash my own.

If you get the OTA, could you let us know before you update so we can grab the URL to the OTA zip file, assuming someone else doesn't get it first?
I got the notification for an update on mine....im on the D build. Obviously no point in trying to take it since im far from stock.

Mine is downloaded and ready to install. Where is the .zip and I will get that for you now.
Still have not received an OTA notification. I assume my phone is being held off for some reason. Maybe having to do with project fi?
Found an update.zip in the system/cache folder. Not really seeing a url. Any ideas?

Ok, so I did a little looking. I did download the update before I saw this thread. It appears that I need to run logcat BEFORE downloading the ota. So I am gonna trash the download and see what happens. If it wants to download again I will post the results.

Did anyone get a notification for an update today? The version is "PB1" (LRX21T.G900VVRU2BPB1). It appears to just be a security patch. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/galaxy-s5-update/ Assuming someone will dump it out, root it, and we'll be able to flash with FlashFire? I've pre-ordered a S7 so I don't know if I'll even try before I ditch this phone.
I'll give it a shot, assuming I can trigger the update.

Update has been downloaded. Now lets see if I can pull it.
I'm currently pulling/uploading the update.zip for @muniz_ri or @jrkruse to look at for us.
Hopefully it can be rooted using the new root method and they can make a ROM or 2 for us.

I'm just waiting on the Odin tar so you can make us a lovely version with the OD5 bootloader in it
Does anyone know if it is 5.1? I was just chatting with Samsung they said it was but I updated and it showed it was still 5.0... So did my phone not fully install it or what?
Someone confirm, this appears to update the bootloader and break our root method
EDIT: All is good
I tried multiple times to update to this ROM today, and I failed multiple times lol. I've tried enough for today. I might try again tomorrow.

Still good ol' 5.0. Change list is the same as well. Just a security update from what I gather.
just update with flashfire via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65593555&postcount=724 using the same keeproot method? Also, I've never been able to use xposed. Do I have to have deodexed for that?

Actually, I doubt you are going to see 5.1 as Samsung is releasing 6.0 for the S5 in May.

I have been getting a notice to install this update and I have been ignoring it because I am afraid it will stop me from being able to activate a Wi-Fi hotspot through PdaNet/foxfi. Has anyone installed this update who uses PdaNet/Foxfi as a hotspot? If so does it still work?

Several weeks, maybe a month ago one of the android news sites listed the Samsung timetable for the phones that would get it. It wasn't carrier specific but rather device specific and the S5 is slated for a May release from Sammy according the article I read.
