Really liking my s8 but as with my previous phone the s7 edge Ive always turned off the % battery in the status bar and just enjoyed the phone without being drawn to it, and as far as I can remember there was a clock option in the AOD that didn't have the battery % sign on it.
Can't find one on the s8 available options.

Anyone know of a status bar Battery Icon that also shows drain in either mA or mW?
If not, perhaps someone around here might be interested in creating one as I have looked but cannot find one. (I do not mean a Today Plugin like HomeScreenPlusPlus/BatterStatus)
The idea:
Essentially similar to the WM Battery Icon that is there now with bars showing charge but with added feature of numerals showing mA drain. These numeral could either be overlayed on the icon or squeezed beneath it in tiny font.
The advantage of this arrangement is:
1) it would work with TF3D on a Diamond. This is because it would not be a today plugin. Simpy an alternative to the current battery icon on the Status bar.
2) Would enable user to always see charge remaining and current load.
I like the idea of always being able to see the load on my battery as often I have apps running in the background which are chewing through the battery. Conversely if the mA drain is low I know these apps cannot be running and all is good. Makes for an easy way to increase battery life.
Essentially all the app would have to do is somehow ascertain current drain in mA and display it over the battery bars on the icon. Nothing more. Be great if one of you clever programs could put this together. I reckon it would be popular.
Would any one else be interested in a replacement for the default status bar battery icon that worked like this?
Battery Status is ur best bet
Are there any hacks/applications out there that will display the battery level percentage in the native battery display in the tor right of the android screen on the status bar?
I've seen battery apps that display a battery indicatior as a widget, or as an additional item on the status bar.
It just seems redundant to show the same info in multiple places...
Any ideas?
No, it's been asked before.
I think some ROMs and themes used to have it. The problem with it was that it only has like 4 or 5 states, so it would be very inaccurate. For example, the real percentage could be 41%, but it would still you show 60% because the range is 40-60% (not sure if I said it clearly).
I haven't seen anyone say anything about it so I thought I'd show everyone that you can change the battery icon in the status bar. You have to go to Settings>Battery then click on the battery icon next to the search button and three dot menu button. If this has already been show please have a moderator close this thread.
i found that there are charging animations for the first two battery icon modes (i.e. the battery & circle ones), but there is no charging animation for the battery text mode..
anyway i still chose the text mode as im used to reading battery in 1% granularity..
I use this app to have percentage in battery, it works flawlessly.

works great thanks
just bought oneplus x ,dont know how to display battery percentage
thnqqqq so muchh...
Seeing battery percentages drives me crazy. Is there anyway to remove the battery information or better yet just the % readout?
thanks
I looked everywhere, can't find anything to disable it. In the past hiding the status bar battery percentage hides the AOD one as well, but not this time...
i dont know if this is what your talking about, but try settings, display status bar, then un do the show battery percentage
Bump! I hate seeing the battery percentage every time I glance at my phone.. It makes me obsess about battery life and really distracts me
Just got a s10+ and love it!!! One thing I can’t find yet is how to hide the battery % on AOD. It drives me crazy as I hide the percentage % on all my devices. Found another post (older) and there was a apk file called no battery but it doesn’t work. I’m assuming it’s for older versions on Android. I was wondering how to hide it. I’d donate to this as I love aod but not the battery %.
