No, you've got it wrong: ftf files are extracts of the Sony download services, there is no way to change them. The customization is done by Sony themselves.

yes you can!!just using flashtool
try us firmware (c6602) at first running so laggy but after several times reboot my device, it so smooth right now..

you cant. but some people say that TA partition isnt important anymore to get bravia engine working. so you might unlock your bootloader without any loss of functionality. I dont know if its true though, maybe someone else does?
you have two options:
backup TA of current rooted phone.
install latest firmware. unlock bootloader, root, relock bootloader
if its true and you can savley unlock your bootloader just unlock it and flash rooted kernel or superuser zip

INSTALLATION:
## IMPORTANT ##
DO NOT wipe the cache partition after the installation as this will break some functions, otherwise you will need to re-apply the latest update
for new users (fresh installation):
remember to make a backup first
I WILL NEVER format your partition or wipe anything for you (except reformat util), please wipe the system/data/cache partitons yourself before install
put the files in sdcard or external sd and install them in recovery (only tested with cwm)
after installed, you can start yTab Synapse Control and change any settings you desire
for existing users (applying updates):
check your current version by opening yTab Synpase Control and see if the version required for the update is met
install the update file in recovery
if applicable, you can apply more updates in the same recovery session without the need to reboot between updates
install multiple updates files in sequence according to the release dates with older files first
FAQ:
[1] how to wipe the partitions properly?
a) for cwm:
wipe and format options -> custom format options -> choose format /system, /cache and /data
b) for twrp:
wipe -> under select partitions to wipe page -> choose cache, data and system
[2] why only the back button at the top works but not others/no synapse can be found after installing yTab/synapse doesnt work properly?
a) most likely you have installed a custom busybox after installing yTab which breaks the predefined symlinks
- to solve this problem, see if it works after uninstalling the custom busybox
b) you have not wiped the partitions properly before installing yTab and thus causing problems with a mixture of old and new system and data
- as to fix this problem, please refer to FAQ #1 for a how to wipe the partitions properly
[3] could not find or missing VPN/google contacts sync/email/exchange, etc after yTab is installed
some apps were removed from the rom (debloated)
- please get them in the removed apps section below, or post a request for the apps you need if they are not available yet
[4] yTab Synapse Control always shows json parse error
get and upload the uci.log file to your online storage by issuing the following command in terminal emulator and then send the link to me via pm (do not paste the log contents in the pm, thanks)

not very likely atm to be frank. and I prefer not to make roms for the device I don own since I cant test them myself

Just downloaded, installed with TWRP everything runs fine....need a day or two to see how it goes...so fa so good. Thanks for the hard work. BTW flash synapse control but don't see anything and so is floating window and hoover.

yeah, i find pcloud is slow too these few days. but unfortunately dropbox was slow too last nite

no sound from left speaker FIXED, driver problem
quick solution:
please put a check in ytab synapse control->audio->enable speaker equalizer
will try to fix this in the next update

i see. it's not compatible with cm
@ykkfive I Tryed to flash your kernel/rom again to check out the speaker fix .The keyboard disappears after I flash 1.01 so I can not continue on. Not sure what the problem is? Keyboard setting says its set at default.

I am looking for some help in troubleshooting my android car head unit. I’ve been using the Blaupunkt Santa Rosa 980 (9-inch variant) for over a month now. The system on its own is good – fast, responsive. But the manufacturer has limited a lot of settings and features, which makes it difficult to customize and use.

My issues with the system:
I use Nova launcher, as I love the interface. But every time the system reboots, the Accessibility settings for it get disabled. I have to enable them each time.
No option to enable Developer settings. Somehow, the Android settings for me like About car/Device, Build number are hidden.
I’ve tried a dozen shortcut apps available on Play Store, none work. They all ask for developer settings to be enabled first. Have also tried via the activity launcher shortcut/widget in Nova, with no luck.
The Status/Notification bar (and the overall UI) is ugly. Default one would have been nice.
While playing videos on installed apps like MX Player or VLC, the respective application simply hangs after few minutes of playback. No media works unless I reboot the system.
What I’m looking for:
A good, stable custom ROM for this system.
Alternatively, I am looking to root the system – in hopes of gaining access to hidden Android settings/developer options.
I’ve tried rooting via KingoRoot, but no luck again. Also, the system does not get detected by my laptop as USB debugging cannot be enabled (without enabling developer options I don’t know to do it).
However, I have been able to get into recovery mode via Terminal Emulator app.
Custom recovery option for this system (TWRP) - as I'm hoping it can help install root access/SU in my case.
Any leads/inputs/suggestions will be really helpful.

Update - managed to get root with Magisk. Had to patch my stock boot.img and flash.

Do you happen to know how to reinstall the original system?

Hi.
You will need the original installation files for your system. Blaupunkt or your service center should be able to provide you with that. I had bricked my system too. Installation is easy if you have the OS/setup files, drivers and a laptop with adb and SP Flash tool.
