I've bought an Axon 7 last month (A2017 Chinese variant 128gb internal 4gb RAM). One day when my phone was shut down, I inserted the usb type c into the phone's port to charge it and it vibrated and turned on and showed the battery and the percentage but it was not actually charging and the percentage didn't go up even 1% and as I waited longer it actually discharged 1%. I didn't have this issue before that day so I pulled out the usb type c and inserted it in again and I saw that it was charging normally.
Later I figured out that the reason of that issue was that I unintentionally inserted the usb type c in the port in two pushes.(I mean I inserted half of the usb type c first and then push the other half into the port) So I checked it out and I observed that when my phone is shut down and I insert usb type c in one fell swoop then my Axon 7 starts charging normally ,but when I insert half of it first and wait for just a second and then push the other half and all of it into the port, the phone vibrates and turns on and shows the battery percentage but doesn't go up even 1% and if I wait longer it will even discharge 1%. FYI I 've tried several chargers, quick chargers, cables and the one that came in the box but the results are the same so if it is a real issue, the issue is with the software itself. I hope you guys can help me with this and tell me the reason and if yours have got the same issue. I would sincerely appreciate any replies.(my Axon 7 is still running 6.0.1 and A2017V2.1.1B07)

When I plug in my phone to charge, the charging light does not come on. Within 2 or 3 minutes it becomes noticeably warm in the area below the battery. After about 10 minutes it gets very hot. No matter how long I leave it on, the battery does not charge.
I can turn the phone on while it is plugged in, but it will turn off within 30 seconds of unplugging.
I have tried 3 different wall chargers, 2 different USB cables on 5 different computers. I even bought a new battery. The result is the same every time.
Does anyone know what the problem might be and if it can be fixed. It is out of warranty, so I'm not worried about opening it up if there is a fix that involves getting dirty.
Thanks in advance!
Some more information that I've discovered since the first post:
I can charge the batteries as long as the phone doesn't overheat (in the fridge/freezer).
When I plug it in to USB, it will charge (as long as it doesn't overheat), but I can't connect it to ADB or mount the SD card. The computer doesn't really even recognize it most of the time. When it does it says "unrecognized device". FYI, I have used ADB many many times in the past, so I know it is set up correctly.
I'm not sure if this is useful information, but the SD card shows up as unformatted when I pull it out of the phone.
I realize that the problem is hardware, I just wish someone knew exactly what part of the phone was bad.
In a beautiful day, when I forget my charger at school, I used my PC to charge my cellphone ( just 2 days like that) and the cellphone was detecting like usual: If connected to pc it shows charging over USB, If connected to AC it shows AC. Ok then, so What is the problem? After One week, when I was travelling using the phone as usual the battey ended and cellphone turned off at 0% (perfectly normal), as soon as I was travelling I used car charger to charge my Zenfone (It is an 2A car adapter). When I connected the cellphone (I was on Stock ROM) it take more time to detect charger than usually (like when you connect it the phone instantly shows the battery icon when off) it takes over 20s connected to charger to show the battery logo, the phone was saying that 1/4 of battery has been charged (WTF it was totally discharged from 100% to 0% and when I put 20s it charge that much? This is not possible I tought). When I turn the phone on it was showing 30% OF BATTERY, I wondered how that could happen. (I alreay saw this bug on my friend's cellphones from other brands like Samsung & Motorola). Anyway, when I saw those 30% I saw the battery graph (wich shows if is on AC or USB) and it was showing charging over USB. BUT HOW THAT COULD BE USB, ITS A FRRAKING 2A CHARGER WTF ZENFONE. I tested on my sister's phone with same cable and same charger, it was showing charging over AC as well. When I finally get home I let it charging, after 1h30m it just charged 15% with Asus AC charger & at the battery graph still showing charging over USB, when I tried to connect it to computer the phone was showing charging over USB (btw it was ok because it was on PC) but windows doesn't said nothing was connected, no USB mismatch, NOTHING. I was on panic. WTF HAPPENED TO MY CELLPHONE. This day I decided to go to Marshmallow, soon as I have root and TWRP pre-installed (when I still have usb connection {3 months ago when I made root}) So I downloade RR zips, upgraded, everythig was ok, Marshmallow Running successfully. But one thing wasn't ok, the freaking charger detect. It was still saying "over USB" but it was on AC. Tried to go o bootloader, no answers from the phone either from windows. I bought an USB-OTG adapter, not working too. I bought an new microusb sub board, replaced it to the new one. No success, still saying charging over USB, no pc connection. Just one thing chaned: OTG before SubBoard change it doesn't even gave energy to "feed" the pen drive, mouse doesn't work too. This night was when I became freaking mad, I let it charging, when I turn the phone on it has just 25%. 6h Charging and 25%. I said to myself, this couldn't be possible, no way dude. I don't know what to do anymore, I'm desperate, is the only android phone that I have, already tried many chargers, many cables, many different computers, no clue of what happened with this cellphone. So is not an hardware issue (as soon I already had this issue, but it get back to normal by itself last time, I didn't do anything) but now it has been 1 month charging "over USB with short battery life. What am I suposed to do now? I tried repair battery life PRO, app from an XDA member. It says everything OK with battery, screenshot below: (translate: No problems founded). And another screnshot of the USB problem. As you guys can see my battery graph is sh*tty, never get to 100% in one day because of this issue.
@gadmei.tw @TecnoTailsPlays (New thread that I was saying).
Please anyone help me, I don't know what to do anymore . I always helped guys with other issues on RR and other rom's issues, now please I need you guys to help me.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Brazil and I'm nervous now.
Thanks XDA :crying:
I half read your story .I think your battery is miscalibrated. You need root and a app to calibrate it.
Say thanks if it helped.
Hi there,
I just noticed yesterday that my wall charger (original came with the package) makes some weird noises (electrical if that makes any sense) But only during charging.
Is it normal or I should get rid of it#
Thanks?
That don't sound good. Does it do it with any other charger? Could be the usb cable? Check with other chargers first to determine which is faulty.

I noticed that to when it's quick charging, mine is also the one that came with the phone. Sound scares the hell out of me, rather charge it slowly with my old Motorola charger than think that thing is gonna spark up a flame.
Axon 7 usb type c charging
Hi, I 've bought a new Axon 7 (128gb 4gd Rom or A2017 model). I use the quick charger and cable that came in the box and when I shut the phone down and insert usb type c in the port(in one fell swoop and in one push)it starts charging and it shows a battery shape that above it is written "quick charging" in chinese language, but again when the phone is shut down and this time first I insert half of the usb type c in the phone's port and wait until the phone vibrates then I push the other half of the usb type c in the port and this time it also shows a battery shape but above it is not written quick charging in chinese language and also it is actually not charging at all and is stuck at a certain battery percent. I just wanna know if your Axon 7 is and acts the same as mine so please try it and tell me?(I think this issue is because of usb type c cables and nothing is wrong with the phone cause I've seen Lg g5 acts the same when I tried it)

Does this happen when the phone is turned on? Maybe try Ampere if it does.
No when the phone's on, it doesn't happen. But when the phone is off and I insert usb c in two pushes and it starts discharging slowly, at that moment if I turn on the phone without pulling out the cable then it doesn't show any charging at all.
Hi,
I just picked up a used Nexus 10 for an app I'm building. I specifically needed this tablet as it an NFC reader both on the front and back of the device. Everything was great until I realized that the battery drains faster than it charges with the screen on and in use. I am using the POGO charger with what I believe is the stock Samsung plug (output 2A).
I've done some searching and it seems that this is a known issue with this tablet. Are there any known solutions?
Will buying and installing a new battery remedy this? I don't even necessarily need it to charge back up, I just need it to hold steady at its current charge while the screen is on and in use. Thank you!
OK, I realized this is because I simultaneously have a micro USB cable plugged in to a serial device and am using the Nexus 10 as an OTG host device - so even though it shows charging, it's actually not charging at all it appears hence the draining. If I unplug the micro USB device (which supplies its own power, even), the Nexus 10 begins incrementing battery %, slowly but surely.
I will try getting a Y cable for the micro USB portion per a thread I found on androidcentral.
