935U Variant Addition: MODERATOR REQUEST - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Can you add the 935U as a variant for the Samsung Edge 7? Only see carriers listed and not he U.
Not sure if I am able to do it or a moderator does it.

VoLTE for G935U - to support Indian Carriers (Jio)

I need some help with the s7 edge, I had brought the US version Snapdragon variant G935P device, but now I have flashed the Carrier unlocked G935U firmware to it and now it supports all carriers, (I use it in India now). But here in India the we have VoLTE calling, (though some US carriers have it, they have specific app for their VoLTE) . but I want VoLTE on this s7 edge. How to get it?
Can I change the CSC of the device to INS (Indian s7 edge firmwares) and get the VoLTE support or any way?
I am very much worried on this. Please help me to get VoLTE on this device.....
I know for some US carriers, people have created a patch file, when patching it to the G935U firmware, makes them enable to get the VoLTE for some T-Mobile, Version s7 edge devices... can it be done for my device also??
I am ready to help anything for getting this done..
Same problem from Hong Kong.
I am using a AT&T variant with G935U firmware in Hong Kong, with carrier "3-HK"
Without the VoLTE ability, whenever I dial/receive a call, it takes time to switch back to 3G before the call got connected.
Hope this can be eventually solved out.

T-Mobile (SM-G935T) firmware on Sprint S7 Edge (SM-G935P)?

Got the phone unlocked and was wondering if it was safe to flash the SM-G935T firmware variants on the Sprint S7 Edge. Plan on using this phone on T-Mobiles network.
I know people have converted their SM-G935P to SM-G935U but I can only find the 6.01 version of that. SM-G935T has the 7.0 version (nougat variant)
You ever find an answer to this or give it a try? I want to try to move an S7 Edge from Sprint to T-Mobile soon as well.

Depends on your firmware version. If you go to your firmware version and go 5 digits back, this will give you the answer. If it is a 5 or 6, out are out of luck; if you have a 4, you'll be fine.

If your device is original from Sprint, it's impossible to flash any firmware because is a BINARY 6, and is the unique device on that, so... forget it.
Sprint change the binary to avoid users to modify the device, leave or erase their apps. Once your S7 have the May update/compilation, the device will never be able to root or unlock the bootloader again. or at least until the U variant change the binary to 6 also, but probably will never happend, Samsung hate their US products because of the FCC laws and the terrible rules and conditions of the carriers.
You can only install Original Oreo or downgrade to Nougat with May Update/compilation.
Otherwise sell or change your device for a U variant or an Exynos phone.

SM-G930P on AT&T

I've got a Sprint variant, SM-G930P, it is running SM-G930U firmware on AT&T network. My question is am I missing out on any bands? I know the different carrier variants list different bands, I've read that this is all firmware controlled and every US model has the hardware to support every band, but haven't seen a definitive answer on if the bands supported are changed when flashing a carrier rom.

Which Firmware To Go From Sprint's G935PVPSACSF1 to T-Mobile?

I understand that the fifth digit from the right is supposed to be the bootloader version, but in this case Sprint's newest firmware (G935PVPSACSF1) has a letter "A" which doesn't correspond to any T-Mobile firmware version that I could find (the latest being G935TUVS9CSC1 at 9)... How would I go about flashing and switching my firmware from my up-to-date S7 Edge from Sprint to T-mobile in this case?
Thank you!

Incase you are mistaken, this forum is for international s7 edge exynos variant..
The correct forums for asking are these :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-s7-edge/help/
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/help/
Btw as I know, you cannot flash earlier bootloader version, even if you could safely flash firmwares between different network providers.. but it maybe different for your device. Ask in the correct forums I posted above. Good luck
