Hi!
I want to flash a rom which isnt based on Stock Samsung Roms.
I tried one Mic Gain Mod method but i didnt like it that much.
My second try would be https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/mic-volume-gain-mod-s5-t3491483 , but the download link is offline, i cant download from dev host, so it would be nice if theres anybody who has micgain6.zip
Or is there any better mic gain mod for our s5? I really need a good microphone sound and video recording sound quality, so its very important for me to have a nice configuration =)
Are there any better mods , or could someone upload micgain6.zip? Would be very nice.
Thanks

Well I have had my sgs for a couple of weeks now on the whole very happy with android can't help thinking how great my last phone (i8910) would have been with froyo though, oh well. ,Anyway so I have managed to root and lag fix a stock 2.2.1 Rom and add the voodoo sound driver thing as well as the clockworkRom bootloader. So think I'm doing ok, albeit with a couple of big mistakes. Thank god for titanium backup pro and latterly CM.
Any way i have tried to install dsp manager a couple of times via different methods and each time suffered the hardest to recover from failures both times took several hours to find the
right recovery combinations. So does anyone know why this is?
My ultimate goal is to increase volume on music playback on my Bluetooth headset so if you have a better way this would also be welcome?
Secondly I can't find a single call recording app that will record both sides when using Bluetooth headsets anyone know of anything?
Thirdly i see geotagging remains an issue on the sgs I'd like to share increase that 5x zoom pro works okay a camera app that can disable geotagging but it misses some of the better features of the native app like anti shake and smile detect etc does anyone know of a better option?
Finally the custom Rom's thing is confusing me a great deal is there a decent beginners guide that has information regarding most of the main ones and their main benefits?

Damn there's even more than I thought and that list is missing a load I have seen as well.
Thanks for the list
I'd like to think of myself as an audiophile. So before I moved to cm7, the voodoo sound was like magic to me. But it seems that on cyanogen its not well suited . Tried all the media players possible and still its no it.So maybe there is away to install the original sumsung player on cyanogen. And if anybody found a way to improve the sound plesae share with me.
By the way im using glitch kernel with voodoo as well
1) Search is your friend - USE IT. This has been asked hundreds of times already.
2) No stock apps will ever be available for CM7 - they all rely on the Samsung framework which will never be ported.
Is there any other solution ?
with last updates of cm7 they integrated voodoo sound in kernel
Yeah I saw that but still its crappy . The low's are cracky not enough mids. Tried the dsp manager but it's only make it worse tried the equalizer from the market same thing. Maybe there is a way to make "Galaxy Tuner " work on Cyanogen, i remember it boosted the bass real nice without cracknig it.
I think Moto G (2013) has hidden FM recording function, which would be used for recording FM from phone and also used for recording calls without root using this module.
But I dont know how to do it, so I am attaching the screenshots and also the apks. Hope to see a developer come forward and help me out. The FM record service already has the permission to record audio from phone microphone, and I am not able to upload the odex file in here.
Not all the apps which can record audio can necessarily record radio or call either.
There are apps which can do those functions. Search google for whatever you want. Or try a custom ROM like Tesla v2.5 , it has those features but you'll lose the feeling and stability of a stock ROM.
:silly:
hallo all, remembered that for the oneplus one was a mod that when playing a youtube video or music it would use earpeace speaker+standard speaker on the bottom the phone, to get a little better (kinda half-front facing) sound
i request a mod for the Oneplus 2 that would do this
AND also it would increase the sound by 20% or even 30% (as we all know the sound is a little low) at its max sound settings (full volume)
maby a flashble .zip file to do this and another flashble .zip to revert to stock
i would code this myself, IF I KNEW HOW TO CODE but sadly i dont
regards and best wishes

No one?
hi dude.
i can take a look at it if you show me the mod for OnePlus One that did the same.
I will upload my mixer_paths.xml file which is much improving sound quality in general (turned off audio compression etc), not only increasing volume when I return to home.
But I'm on Hydrogen Beta rom, so I don't know if it will be compatible with older roms.

Hi All,
Is there a place to find the sound profiles for viper4android for G5 plus? I am looking for a sound profile which is very close to the stock ROM in terms of the sound quality and clarity.
You won't get sound profiles exactly but can download IRs. Just google viper4a IRs . Download any one of your choice. And then paste that in the kernel folder in the viper folder located in internal storage. Load that and you can make tweaks on top of that. There are lots of IRs like dts dolby beats.
I guess I'm at a loss why you need to use an app to get the sound back to stock. If a rom is modifying the sound, I would hope you could remove the mod or app they are using to affect the sound. Post in the applicable ROM's thread for assistance in doing that.
Otherwise I think you probably have a unrealistic memory of what the stock room sounded like.

This is very true, my friend. Even though the PIE roms say, they are using the Oreo firmware, I don't understand why does the sound in PIE roms sound so much different than on stock Oreo?
