I've tried a search but I can't seem to find anything. Maybe its this movile app. I'm trading in my phone to T-Mobile today but I need to unroot and go back to stock. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hello all,
I have take my phone in for service and obviously I would like to un-root it. I used the revoltionary method and I follow all the instructions to un-root the best I can but I can disable the fast boot so that the PC36IMG.zip will be read and update accordingly. I am currently running the elite series III ROM in case that has anything to do with it. Anyone have the same issue or can shed some light on what I may have done wrong?
Thanks in advance

First Google search result.
I had an issue with recovery. I think I had to flash amon-ra after the stock rom to get s-on. Can't remember but something to do with the recovery...sorry I can't help more.
This should be in the Q&A section, not the development section, just saying...

I have this device as well. Not much love for this thing, If you do end up finding something, would you be willing to point me in the right direction? That goes for anyone that may be able to help. As always, it's greatly appreciated.
Look at the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1585619
I am using the Nexus Tool Kit, the latest version. I unlocked and rooted with it fine, but when I try to go back, it will not download the stock file and says there is a hashtag mismatch. Can anyone help or at least guide me in the wright direction? I just want to go back to the stock, no root at all.

Dude come on!! This is the dev forum not Q& A. To answer your Q download it yourself. If you dont know where GOOGLE IT
do you know how to use fastboot? Or abd? If you dont then stick to one of the toolkits. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809195

I thought it was the moderators job to make sure posts are moved to the right forums, etc? It really seems a bit rude the way you guys treat people sometimes for asking a question. Try decaf and let the moderators take care of it.. Making people feel bad because they are desperate to fix their device really isn't what this place is about or at least that is my opinion..
In 100 years all of us will be dead.. I really do not think this is worthy of chewing someone out like that especiually when it really is not even your job or business.
Can someone point me in the direction to return this thing back to mz600 3G stock? I'm running a custom wifi only rom but want to be able to return it to stock to sell and be used with 3G.
I used to be able to find a thread with the files and instructions but can't now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Check the third post on this thread. You have to fastboot flash the 3.0 Honeycomb images and then do the OTA back up to JB.

I see some videos on YouTube saying the root method works on all variants, but I don't see anyone that actually rooted the Sprint version yet. Anyone have any insight to share?

I second this. Additionally, does anyone know if the other recovery methods work on the ls980?

I rooted using http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmN0K1DyYzA with no problems at all. I have the same question as far as recovery support. Can't seem to find if there is a valid recovery image for the sprint variant.
I just found this in LG G2 Original Development
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449679
there is a sprint recovery from what I can tell.

Have you tried it out?

I wasn't able to get root access using the same method as you did. SU installs but not correctly. I had to uninstall it. In the command prompts I get some errors regarding where SU is installing and it does say success, but root is not obtained. You are SURE that you have root correct? Just asking for a confirm, but not doubting you got it if you say you did. Looks like we are the pioneers here.
Rooted with TWRP Recovery
I was able to root my LS980 with:
Root Tool:
***REMOVED***
Recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449679
Now just waiting on a rom that works with LS980. I believe I tried most of what has been posted (including CM) and have been stuck at fastboot. Maybe I'm missing something?
For the time being, I've rooted and removed most of the bloatware on my G2.
***EDIT***
Suggested Root Tool to Use by XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522346)

Posting a list of the safe bloatware to remove would be a good thing to do.
Starting a new thread in Q and A would be best since we don't have our own forums.
