Out of the blue overnight I have Google assistant on my home screen that I cannot uninstall even though I have never activated or used Google assistant. Any idea why?
VS995 rooted running Weta US996 rom.
This was from the Google I/O to help show the assistant's new features ? It happened to me also. You can install a launcher and just hide it if you don't want it.
Might be an obvious question....but nothing is obvious with Google considering that they removed this option from the Pixel 3 in Android 9 (stock version). But later was added (as far as I know) in Android 10.
Could anyone confirm if the Pixel 4 has 3-button navigation in Settings?
I tried Gesture Navigation (and I'm still swiping left to go back, so I got used to it pretty much). But I always go back to 3-button navigation, because I'm faster and happier with the old classic navbar. So this is a critical feature for me
Thanks!
Ok apparently it has
- Gesture navigation
- 3-Button navigation

[SYSTEM NAVIGATION] Any way to enable the "Pill" 2 button navigation on Pixel 4?
So unlike the 3a which has all 3 navigation modes the Pixel 4 only supports the new gestures or the old 3 buttons navigation, but I actually really like the Pill navigation from Android Pie.
Are there any mods yet to enable it on the Pixel 4?
Thanks

I use my tablet for my kids and I despise the Freetime launcher because most of my apps are sideloaded with Google Play (paid content). So those apps won't show in Freetime. Regardless, I hate that environment but the problem I have is that my kids have a difficult time figuring out how to go back to the main screen where you need to swipe up or from the side to get the navigation bar. Is there a way to force it to always show the navigation bar?
Does anyone know if there is a version of Android 10, 11, or 12 that's available for the Pixel 4 that allows for 3-button navigation with back on the right and context on the left?
How to Use 3-Button Navigation With the Pixel 4's Google Assistant
Those of you who own a somewhat-new Pixel 4 Android smartphone might have noticed that Google forces you to use gesture navigation to interact with the newer iteration of Google Assistant. It’s not the end of the world, but it might be annoying if you hate swiping instead of tapping tiny virtual...
