How can I fix the sleep of death on my Note 4? This started when flashed with Odin to stock 6.0.1 and ever since I been having this problem. The only temporary solution is the SOD Killer app. It works fine, but of course, it uses a lot of battery and overtime it slows my phone down.
Me too, i heard Sleep of death can solve by kernel and synapse but i dont know how. If anyone can fix it, pls help me.

Hey guys,
I'm running CM 10.1 RC5 with franco M2, and I started experiencing massive suspend_backoff wakelock a week or so ago. It only happens on my home wifi and nowhere else.
I did some googling and most people say this is caused by Chrome, but I don't even have that installed. I tried a different kernel with no success (faux still gave me suspend_backoff wakelock). But the thing is, I never got this wakelock when I was running stock, so could it be a CM issue?
Any tips would be appreciated.
I am facing the exact problem.... Chrome is not installed on my phone either...
I've just noticed that the brightness slider moves from end to end with no change in screen brightness.
Anyone got a fix?
Android 5.0.2
Yes, I have the same problem. Mine is weird though. Mine will sometimes get bright and match the setting, but a majority of the time it goes to the most dim level on the screen regardless of where the brightness level is set. I'm hoping that it is something that I can fix, but I don't know if people will say that it's a hardware issue. My Tab is rooted again after I reinstalled the stock firmware again to try and fix the problem. Hopefully someone can offer an insight to this problem. I'm wondering if taking it apart and heating up the processor with a heat gun would cause it to work. That worked as a temporary fix on an Apple computer.
I have the same problem after I rooted the tablet. The only solution I found is install the app Screen Filter.
Are you on a custom ROM?
Can you reproduce the issue with a stock ROM?
If not,its probably the custom ROM have bugs.
Or maybe sth else
I flashed the nexus player to the lolirock rom and every time that it goes into deep sleep it will restart the device. I seem to have the same problem when I'm using the aosp 6.0 rom as well. Is anyone else having this problem? Any idea how to fix this?
Same issues here, just started to do that.
Hi,
My wife's gti9505's has an issue with the battery that I cannot seem to fix. One second it's at 75% then all of a sudden it's a 5%, then it goes to 50% and some times it reboots. I don't know if this might be related but she mostly feels this happens when she uses the uber app. She has the latest official android version (5.1..), I've tried installing a new rom with 6.0 but the problem persisted. I've bought her a new battery but the problem persisted. At this point I'm thinking that this MUST be a hardware problem. Any other solutions I may try?
The reboot problem might be a power button issue.
Hello,
I've been having this issue for the past few weeks, where my screen will turn yellow and display lines across the screen at medium brightness. At max and min brightness it works normally, but at intermediate brightness it displays varying degrees of this issue.
Have anyone encountered this issue before? What can be done about it?
The issue just suddenly showed up. I went to bed and it worked fine, I woke up and it was like this.
I do not have any warranty, so any repair would be done myself. Issue occurs in TWRP as well, independent of the OS.

The issue has been resolved by switching kernel. I was previously on the S8 NX kernel, and now tried switching to Velocity kernel and the issue is gone.
Should be pointed out the new kernel is "flicker-free", while the other is not. Not sure if that matters, but it's a screen related change in the kernel at least.
In case anyone else comes here looking for a solution, try a kernel swap.
Edit: Nope, for some reason this works as a temporary fix but doesn't last. Issue comes back.
