usb debugging has screwed up and my phone will not respond to adb from computer as it thinks that the adb signature from the computer has already been trusted but no commands goes through
Try to revoke USB debug permissions and uninstall driver from the computer. Then plug again the phone to the computer and try again.

Hello.
I recently installed the 4.3 ota update. I knew I would have to reroot. After the update I have tried everything I can think of to flash a new recovery or bootloader or anything. All without success. Fastboot simply says "Sending...", the phone says "downloading..." and that's the end of it. They would both sit in that state forever if I let them.
I know I'm not alone on this issue. I have searched and searched without finding a solution. Does anyone know of one?
Thanks.

1. Usb debugging enabled and bootloader unlocked?
2. Correct drivers installed, try these usb naked drivers for instance https://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&rct=...=RUlfH35SAJki_DdLfo8MeA&bvm=bv.51773540,d.Yms.
3. Used the original usb cable or tried another usb port?
4. If you type fastboot devices in fastboot mode do you see a serialnumber? The same for adb devices in adb mode?

USB debugging is enabled.
I've tried the original USB cable and others. I've tried different USB ports.
adb works fine. Fastboot recognizes my phone and prints a serial number. Fastboot even works for locking/unlocking the boot loader.
There are no "drivers" in the Linux world. Should I find someone who has a Windows system and ask to use their computer?
Thanks.

So. I solved the problem. I now feel like an idiot.
I plugged my phone into a Windows system and a nice notice popped up saying that my device could run faster if it was plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Then it dawned on me that only a few of the ports on my computer are 2.0 and that I had tried one of them previously but with an extension cable (because it's in the back and hard to reach). I unplugged the extension cable and plugged the USB cable directly into the port and all was well.
I hope that others who have had this issue find this useful.
Thank you for your help.
After following info on XDA and everything I could find elsewhere on the web to no avail, ADB still showed "error; device offline" . I believe I must install new rom in order to start over with computer/device recognition. After "Revoke USB Authorizations" in Settings>Developer Options>USB Debugging, believe that is a permanent revocation until computer is presented with a new system.img, (rom). But I am just noob, please correct me if I'm wrong. So if I'm correct I guess I'll Have to do Factory Reset, lose root, and go through the whole process again

If you do a manual factory reset , never gonna lose the root.

When you "Revoke USB Authorizations" it just clears the current saved devices. Try this, unplug device, use a USB port on back of the computer (sometimes it matters), make sure Developer Options is enabled, USB Debugging enabled, Verify apps via USB unchecked, revoke USB authorizations, then start ADB, plug phone in and wait for it to be recognized by windows, then enter the command "adb devices". The phone should ask if you want to authorize this PC.
If that fails, try a different cable.

I was way off! I found a suggestion on another site that recommended updating sdk. Determined my sdk was version 1.0.29, updated to 1.0.30, and voila returned "device name device" good to go. Thanks so much for the help.
Hey guys,
Earlier today I wiped my phone while trying to update the system, but when I tried to install the update it failed. That means that I'm now sitting without an OS on my phone, only able to access TWRP Recovery and Fastboot. I've successfully installed adb drivers and all of that, but when connecting the phone to a computer ADB doesn't find any devices and device manager only sees it as an unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). I have been seaching for a couple of hours now and have not been able to find anything that works, so I'm hoping that you guys can help.
Try this

When I try to update the driver, as it says in step A-7, the only unknown device is the unknown usb device and when I try to update that one with the qc folder, it just says that Windows have determined that it is up to date?

Have you tried connecting to PC while in TWRP recovery ? You should be able to access internal storage using mtp. Then you can copy another rom & flash it.
I have tried connecting to Windows 8.1 on a Macbook Pro while in TWRP Recovery, and that's where it said it was an unknown USB device.

Any other ideas, because I do not own any other USB type C cables. The one I'm using is the one that came with the phone, but I have never had any issues with it.

Lets try installing the drivers again. If this doesn't work, then it should be a cable issue OR usb port issue. Try this on another pc.
1. Download Oneplus2 USB drivers -> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347833370
2. Before installing the drivers, Disable Driver Signature Enforcement. -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM1MN8QZhnk
3. Install the drivers & Restart.
4. Now try either connecting to pc while in TWRP or fastboot.
you can flash factory image through fastboot

Maybe this is a bit annoying but the best solution is to buy another cable since a few weeks ago I had the same problem, bought a new cable and the problem was solved. Hope this helps
Then flash the OS through TWRP using the advanced tool that allows you to sideload files using adb.

How to enter mtp on recovery/fastboot?
I've done the same thing in the past (erase everything) , the solution that worked for me is this:
1.Always have a twrp back up on a usb stick.
2.Buy a cheap usb 2 type c to usb adaptor.
3.Enter twrp and restore the back up.
This way you do not need a pc/drivers etc.
I hope it helps.

Looks like you haven't installed oneplus usb drivers. Install the drivers & try again.

Hi.
I need help because my Axon7 is bricked.
I first installed JPver ROM, and apply OTA update. But it was bricked.
My Axon 7 stops on logo when I turn on the power.
And I used Miflash to solve the problem, but I do not know how to do one process.
So, I don't know how to Enable USB Debugging.
Is there a way to turn on USB debugging without booting up?
Please help me, and thank you for your help.

You don't need USB debugging, you have to enter EDL. While the phone is off, hold both volume buttons and insert the USB cable (it has to be already connected on the PC) on the phone at the same time. Then use MiFlash with a FULL_EDL package

I understood and tried it.
However, an error related to "hello packet" occurred and it failed.
So I will try it on another PC.
Thank you.
