Disturbances in the phone with the caller - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am a foreigner with Polish and therefore may be errors. Hello. I have a very strange problem with echo and some interference on the phone caller. I am figuring things among others to upload new firmware and anything that did not help. The problem turned out to be banal, but I can not in any way eliminate. As I removed the battery cover is the problem disappears, as I bet it's even back Glue some seals for windows, the problem is still 100% guilty of battery cover, but what do I do with it? without it is super clean, and with it my caller hears a noise very strange thing, but maybe someone already had such a problem? I have a samsung s5 g900f

PS: The phone is bought second-hand in case it helps but this happens only for about 2 weeks
man HTC touch elf phones are quiet delicate also (from its back side).
i believe you might have fallen it somewhere hence its back side of the phone has become loose so hence it would loosen up the battery...every tym you pressure at its back side I to had a similar enigma, i just tighten the back part and later it worked properly..
Anyone can give me some more details about this kind of problem and solution to this please maybe a tutorial with pictures?
did u drop your phone?? i used to drop my phone alot aswel and so had the problems of turning off time snd again too! probably th battery has loosen abit..try keepin a thin paper/cover over th batt/under the batt cover to make it fit tight! about the freezing problems i didnt have any..might b bcoz ur phone is old(2nd hand) - or having inner circuit problems maybe!
It felt for about 2 times but was with the housing on it and i do not think it had suffered anything but i will try tomorrow to put something on the back cover of the battery to see if it has any results. And about the problem with freezeing i disasambled the mainboard and made it with contact spray so i don`t think it does that because it isn`t make a good contact something or things like this, and the problem is that it does power on very hard after the freezing and sometimes it just goes off from sudent and do not want to power on any more. The phone is SH but when i bought it it didn`t had any of this problems

I allready tried this and for a moment i thought the problem was solved but after abot 3h the device was power off but after yesterday (cuz sunday i disasambled the device) i didn`t happened anymore but today the device was low battery and i do not know why cuz yesterday morning i took him from the charge..very bizzar isn`t it?:-?
Mine started to have the same problem, I have it for two years and no problems until now. I cared about it very well, so no fall-downs or scratches. I updated everything in SW I could but it doesnt solve the problem. I also replaced the battery, no effect. I think it will be electronic issue. Wish someone could help us...
Hi,
I think I had the same problem:
- the phone froze in standby (sometimes after 30min, sometimes after more than 5 hours).
- if standby is disabled it NEVER froze (but i had to charge battery one a day).
flashing was no solution (tried blue elves, onyx and tess).
i shipped it to htc-repair-center three times, but they could not repair my device (altough they tried and shipped it back to me DEFECTIVE).
Now I have a replacement Elfin which works perfectly.
So nobody has a solution for this?
Has anyone found a solution for this cuz i tried the plastic thing but nothing seems to solve the problem i disasambled the elf and put contacts spray wd40 on it and heated but nothing the phone still goes off and freezes i still use the plastic things over the processor but i think that it does this because the processor is overheated and thats why it freez and turn off and do not whant to turn on maybe someone had tested to put a piece of aluminium in stead of the plastic thing to cool the processor?
I had the Standby of Death SOD this is when the phone fails to come out of standby with a power button press. This issue only affects some people on some networks. I'm not sure if its a network problem or a software problem but as only a minority of people have it, I suspect its mainly a network problem there is a software solution.
The solution is to change the phone settings band option from auto 3G/2G to either 3G Only (WCDMA + UTMS 2100 in Europe) or 2G Only (GSM + AUTO) depending on your requirements.
Also read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540943&highlight=standby&page=2 where the resolution was to get a new SIM.
Obviously this only solves the problem when the crash is because of the sim and/or settings which impact the sim. To rule out a software cause its best to start with a hard reset.

Replaced screen and...

Hello Everyone
I have an Acer S200 and I ended up cracking the digitizer and lost the use of the entire display. Not sure how. It was in my pocket.
I purchased a replacement on ebay and replaced it. The screen works just as new. How ever I seem to have done something to the earpiece and mic.
When making a call, the earpiece is silent and the no one can hear me. However if I turn the speaker phone on I can have a complete 2 way conversation.
I originally thought it was my ROM however I have tried a few and finally placed the official one on, no luck.
I have taken the phone apart and put it back together a couple times, making sure that all peices are tight.
I am at a loss
Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks

Virbation sounds weird

Hello
This morning I had an issue with my Android clK build and I had to pull out the battery. Unfortunately, I bought one of these flipping case that holds the phone pretty tight so I had to force to take it out and I suppose I pushed a little to hard.
Since then my vibration sounds weird. Like an electric shaver...it has a higher pitch.
It's a stupid reason to send it back as it does work but I was wondering if it already happended to one of you.
Any solution to revert to the way it was ?
googling the following words "xda hd2 vibrate weird" gives the following FIRST result:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15240424
see my post there (post #3)!
(its a somewhat common problem, caused by the camera flash cover pressing against the vibrator motor just underneath it)
I've had many hd2s in my hand, I hate that vibration, it literally feels like the screen is shaking rather than the phone. Its definitely a hardware issue and I don't recommend trying to repair it yourself as self repair has been known to cause further issues

Loudspeaker not working

I recently replaced my charging port as it stopped charging recently without bending the charger when laying to make it charge.. When i turn on the phone the loudspeaker no longer works, and i cant see why it shouldnt. Yesterday i recieved a new speaker in the mail, in case it somehow got damaged in the first replacement, tried that one, same issue..
I tried cleaning the contact points on the board the speaker has its contact on, but same result. Is there a service code or something i could try to enter, or any suggestions what other things to try?
All ebay purchases and the phone itself should be G900F model. The front facing speaker works
Running latest nightly CM12
Tried flashing a stock ROM?
Tried that now, no help.. Seems like the new chargerboard ribboncable may be damaged, as they both state F, guess thats for G900F, and tried the old board withj just holding the speaker in place, and the sound worked. New 3m tape is really necesarry when replacing parts in this phone, my screen barely sits in place now!

"No service" on notification bar. (J500FN) [Solved]

Hi,
Yesterday, I used the phone like normal(little bit of listening music and media etc) and drained the battery, so it shut down. Connected the charger fairly later and it started charging. In a few hours switched it on and saw that there was this white stop sign on the notification bar. Figured it might be a matter of a reboot since things like that happen from time to time. When rebooted in the morning the sign was still there.
I tried all the firmwares from Sammobile available for the region and nothing got it away, tried LineageOS and then used SmartSwitch to restore the thing.
I also got to the ServiceMode using dial code:
Code:
*#011#
and it says there that:
Code:
MIPI DEVICE FAIL. DEVICE MID=0x20c, PID=0x008
Googled a bit and it seems that the easiest way to fix this is changing the motherboard.
Some more background if it matters: the device asks for a sim pin and hasn't been dropped. Just happened out of the blue.
Solved
Hi again,
I managed to fix the issue. Seems like this is a common problem but I didn't find anything on why it happens or is, just some sites I personally haven't heard before had some same content how to fix the J500M but the same chip was faulty on the J500FN.
What I did was: re-heat the chip shown on the pictures a bit with a hairdryer that had a really small radius(kinda like put a cone on it because didn't want to heat the whole board up). And that seemed to do it. It probably will break again, since it was and is still faulty and for that reason broke on the first place. Also if you're advanced enough you can try to solder it, but that seems to be for the professionals really.. One little connection in the wrong place and you fry the damn thing!
The safe bet is to replace the motherboard(which I don't currently have money for) but that does the trick for me now. Also if your warranty still lasts you might wanna take it to the Samsung Service shop where they should replace or re-solder the chip safely onto the mainboard for free. Or change it alltogether.
What also sealed the deal for me was that the grille that was on the opposite of the chip what was faulty had this weird burn-mark thingy on it, so thats why the whole thing happened..

I hope that anyone who struggles in the future with this (or in the past and still hasn't found a way to fix it) can fix it now.
