i have problem with upgrade my gt540 from any rom to another, i tried to change my rom from 2.1 baltic to 2.1 fast boot and 20d but with no success,
when i start the kdz updater and choose the rom that i want it , the upgrade process goes smoothly and finish with success, but when i check the phone verion i found it as it 20b ...
the phone version not changed !!!!!
i tried 10 times with deferent roms
please help, i need 2.1 with fast boot to upgrade to 2.2
My fastboot Rom was 20b. Check you have fastboot. If not then you should make sure you have windows enabler running when flashing

and the windows enabler is active and tried deferent computers (laptop with win 7 and pc with xp)
is there a way to format the flash to start from zero
Okay, have you disables the LG modem in Device Manager? It won't work if you don't disable it, try doing it from download mode, put it on CS_Emergency and 3QGCT and then flash from there, you know how to disable the modem?

I have an LG G2 D802 (international version) and few weeks ago i went to the pool with it in my pocket (i know, i'm stupid )
Anyway the motherboard was oxidized and with a special spray I sucess to clean up the phone. But when i try to start it, it shows the LG logo just for 1/2 second and then the screen goes black... When i connect the phone to my computer, the phone is recognized as qhsusb_bulk in device manager and in windows explorer the phone contain files like adsp.bXX, modem.bXX ... nothing like before...
Anyway I don't know if my phone is broken or if it's just a software issue !
If you guys can help me i'le be grateful !

If it went to the pool, I guess some of the hardware went broke.
You can always try to flash a new Rom or so if you have the skills, but I dont think it will solve.

The solution apparently is to unbrick the phone.
How to do that? I have One Sim version. If i have to provide more information i`ll do it.

i have similar problem and cant resolve it..... phone is dead, only when i connect it to pc its mtk preloader device.
tried flashing with sp flash tools, with few unmodded roms. it allways gives me error sec ro image not found.... any solution pls?

before minutes have tried again on Windows but in device manager the only thing i see is an autorefresh beween seconds and that`s that. Maybe just once i have seen identified device (the htc)

I have Lg V20 f800L and I tried to change the software to >>H990ds ( I know its big wrong- but I want one for middle Est ) after finish after start up I getv this message ( Current version is not available for user , can’t find matched cust for NTCODE=([,] ) then the device became hot and restart by himself in loop and if tried to back to old I can’t the Lg up can’t show because the device is unknown.

Usually if you have an error and your port still shows up as Qualcomm 9008 (this is EDL mode, it's expected) it's because you have a bad USB cable, or try another USB port on your PC. I ran this tool and it doeasnt seem to have worked. I have a 5s which is probably why. I dont know how to unbrick it, Ive tried edl mode with xiflash nothing Ive tried getting twrp to run but it says device corrupt wont boot. ive tried using fastboot too but I have no clue how to take the 5s firmware I got from the website and flash it. its missing some things typically in roms for flashing and im not sure how to flash every individual file. maybe if someone could link a 5s backup that would be less confusing. Any help would be MOST appreciated, thanks.

some quick steps following the link above are:
open the folder MiFlash2020-3-14-0 and then the application called XiaoMiFlash.exe in admin #ignore message "couldn't find flash script"
where it says select this is where you going to look for the image folder #ignore message "couldn't find flash script " again
on you mobile device you should be on the bootloader, select the option Boot to edload and connect the mobile to the computer #the screen will be black on the phone
back to the computer on the application XiaoMiFlash.exe, click refresh and you will see you device connected #if you don't see it make sure you have installed the Qualcomm drivers
click on flash and allow the system to process until you see a flash done！sucess!
disconnect the mobile from the computer and on the mobile press the power button and hold it until you see a green notification light come up then let go the power button.
