can u gave me a photo of the error in odin
NO! i crashed the fu..ed smartphone today with a hammer (many thanks to the developer of the custom rom BRICKED MY SMARTPHONE); now i feel better !!!!!
i bought a j3 2016 30 min. ago. WITH ANDROID 5.1.1 > so i can normal rooting the device and modify the plattform.xml for full sd-card write permissons. this was my biggest problem with android 6 (the xposed sd-write modul don´t work with IGO PRIMO; best navi-soft ever). fu.. off android 6 an 7!!!!!!!!!! or... somebody solved the problem with SD-CARD write permissions DIRECTLY in the system (without a xposed modul).
regards.

Smashing phones with a hammer would solve your problem, next time wait for some one to guide you how to fix it. Like using Samsung Smart Switch or following a guide like [GALAXY J5] Basic informations | Guides | Tips and Tricks | ROMS & KERNELS.
That would solved your problem and your phone.

If you had done enough research online QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE does not mean that your phone is locked. If the error was "aboot.mbn" "FAIL! (Auth)" or any other errors including "FAIL! (Auth)" it means that the software you are using is not made for your device (other model/variants). Samsung's Smart Switch software could have solved this as it checks for the software with your phone's model and IMEI number.
Also, you could have just flashed back to V2 and factory reset. The files for the earlier versions are posted on the site and I'm sure the partitions affected by the flash are the same for both versions. There are plenty of other ROMs out there for you to flash as well.
You need to learn how to appreciate other people's work more. You are already lucky enough for people to be making custom ROMs for you to flash. Flashing custom ROMs are at your own risk. How would you like people making bad remarks about you when something happens with your ROM? You are just discouraging the developer to do more.
There was nothing wrong with this ROM.
Many people are using it and have had no problems.
KingRaheel is a good guy and a good developer who puts lots of time making ROMs for people to use.
It sounds to me that you maybe used the wrong version or you did something wrong.
If this was not the case then there would be lots of others saying the there was a problem.
Ur choice to smash your phone was your choice.
Your phone was not broken it could have been easily recovered.
I personally think that you should take down this post and apologize.
People where shouting out that they wanted new ROMs and the guys with the skills to do so made them for you it was your choice to use them and your responsibility to make sure that you read the directions.
Rant over

It's not right to have that posted on this forum.

Use Smart Switch - emergency recover you will unbrick.
I'll also add this to the OP's statements. Your device would have been recoverable without a doubt.
You really only have yourself to blame, the first thing you should have done is made a full backup with TWRP, that would have cost you nothing but a few minutes of your time.
You would then have recovered in minutes.
Also you should have contacted the developer before posting negative feedback and asked for help first.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Hey man, you could just post it directly into the thread and not on Q&A sextion. This warning is irrelevant here. If you're so serious, you better report the post about the ROM. And try not to interrupt some people's work. XDA is a site for experimenting, nothing is guaranteed.

Worst fairy tale.
Repeated rooting will never break your hardware unless you mess something up really badly.
To OP - I assume your IMEI is unknown. Do you have EFS backup? Restore it if you do. If no, then flashing stock ROM via Odin appears to have fixed it. Search, this issue has been discussed very many times.
Hello every one!!!!
i am not sure if i am posting this in the correct section, if not forgive me, but i am not sure where to post this..
SO... long story short: i went to service because i had to fix imei (which i still have to be done) so i went to pick up the phone not fixed (too expensive in that lab), and i found out there is a SERVICE FIRMWARE on it!!!
first thing i did was dumping it of course i am providing now links to it and to the kernel shipped along with..
ODIN FLASHABLE
RECOVERY FLASHABLE
note:
- both require a factory reset to start, if you do it from custom recovery you can skip format sdcard, but still need to wipe data
- odin flashable already is rooted and has su app installed by me, for the recovery one you can simply flash SuperSuUpdate.zip
most interesting stuffs are a permissive from stock kernel, there are some service apps, which unfortunately are not fixing my problem, and only allow to run tests basically, apart some really small edits to connection and usb or HW tests.. another interesting thing is that the firmware has a sort of AOSP base but need tons of work to have it fully functional.. F.e setting is "aosp" looking and works also on stock roms, but some part are FC because code is missing; launcher is basically useless, but is an "aosp" one as well
most interesting service apps are missing a connection to a tool (i believe) since it throws a popup saying :
Code:
[HMT] init failed
or
[HMT] not connected
anyone knows which could be? anyone familiar to this?
so in the end i am posting it just as general pourpose and cherrypicking of usefull apps, unless we can find what is missing so we could actually fix lots of issues!!!!

I really dunno because i had mine already tripped long before..! I think it should because they are not supposed to trip knox to fix it, but the selinux permissive kernel could give you troubles!!! Seriously !! Lots of thing may go wrong.. First of all is not out of the box compiled by samsung, but is repacked by me! So no chance it has original signature
You could try this app

Giving root permission and try some code using method 0 (root) to launch it ex 1234567890 could be usefull for you

Mine is a repack so it doesn't have the original signature so it is likely that if you flash with odin you can end up with tripped knox, because bootloader doesn't read samsung sig and voids it

Regardless, Service firmwares always contain an engineering boot loader. as it allows them to flash what ever they need retaining the current knox state. it also unlocks the protected memory, and has a whole suite of debugging commands enabled for service utilities.
SO again i state if you have not updated this device since you got it back (eg, flashed a tar with a public sboot in it) you should consider dumping yours as its most likely an engineering one for the G920F.

I just received a new device. Here's what I found out.
I tried to use a kernel (by mistake) from another carrier and when you do this, there's Samsung software that recognizes that's not a Sprint Kernel and it locks up the device. That's what was told to me.
@Wuby986 Do you have any screenshots? I would like to see the aosp stuff that includes before I install it to my phone
Thanks

Hi everyone,
Today I am posting this thread because of some idiots who are now sharing pre-rooted firmwares for SM-G361F that are full of bloats.
I am sick of that, this is why I upload the archive of the first pre-rooted firmware I got that was at least clean.
You can download it here: https://mega.nz/#!oqpRhZJZ!B18uTiB3TH-QfChoqjgWCNmaPjqInPZbFyI4u9-T8s4
Note: This firmware is ONLY for Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-G361F devices with AOG1 build.
Of course I don't own the firmware and I didn't root it, I just keep the right to upload it.

Although I have no use for it, I did test it out and...
...I bricked my device.
Nah, I'm just pulling your leg! I tested her out and she is perfectly functional. Much better than that, what was her name? Andro-Woman? Or was it Andro-Man?
She seems like a woman to me.
Much appreciated and thanks alot, Hank Cyclone, which is your new nickname.

BTW why she? Is this your new girlfriend now?

Pre rooted
Hey,can you find SM-G361F pre rooted version for this device?
BaseBand G361FXXU1AQA1
Build number G361FXXU1AQD1
I can't find it anywhere
I love what you're doing. All other pre-rooted ROMS are full of trash. Could you make it for G361FXXU1APA3?
Hum... OK guys thanks for the love but I have to remember you something.
I am not a developer yet and truly not a ROM unbloater: I didn't "disinfect" the firmware, I just reuploaded it (well after a fast check, I found I've already prevented about that, just read the thread please...)
So no dudes I can't do that, sorry. I COULD eventually do that, removing bloats and extract system image to make a flashable shouldn't be as complicated, but I do not have time.
Sorry to disappoint you.
Hey Atronid, you rock! I have the AOL1 but intend to give it a try cause I already rooted it but it's full of bloast. Do you know if I can flash another pre-rooted firmware considering I did this already? could this be harmul? -brickful? )-

I don't think doing this will brick your device, but careful. Ensure the usal requirements are here (OEM unlock, USB debug just in case...) and you made a backup, also in case something goes wrong.
But if you're rooted you got plenty tools that can remove bloats from your device, but I hope you're not easily scared because once removed system may spam that the bloat you just uninstalled has stopped. You can get rid of that by just rebooting your phone.
So you don't need to reflash any firmware if you just want to clean your phone up.
Yes, you're right. The problem was that the apps I tried to remove other apps weren't the right ones, but now that's sorted thankfully On the other hand, as I couldn't find an Android 6 ROM for my phone (not even a sorry recovery.... ) in the end I set my mobile to install new apps on the sd card by default. Actually it works similarly to the app Link to SD, so a part of it is on the SD card and the rest (like the data it generates) in the device storage, despite all the tutorials sell this method as "Installation directly on your SD card". You need a computer and official Android development tools (SDK). In case it's of any interest for anyone I'll include the tutorial I followed, but it turns out I'm not allowed to post links yet, so the title of the article was Cómo instalar aplicaciones DIRECTAMENTE en la tarjeta SD from androidjefe website. In English, How to: Force Android to automatically install apps to SD card from softonic website
I hope it helps

Read first post. I don't think it will work if you have a build other than AOG1.
And you should not use TWRP to flash like this. Use Odin and Download mode instead.
Will this rooted firmware work with my SM-G361F phone? Need advice...
Hi there,
Will this rooted version work with my phone?
I'm new here and need some help and advice re Rooting this Samsung phone SM-G361F - I'M NO TECHIE but have ability to following instructions and make connections etc. My phone details are below.
Baseband G361FXXU1ASC1
Build LMY48B.G361FXXU1AQD1
Patch level is 2017-4-01
Security software version ASKS 1.2_161011
I did once try rooting a Samsung tablet using Odin and it all worked OK, but that was a while ago.
How important is it to get the identical build or baseband? Anything else I need to check?
I was trying initially trying to change the phone's MAC address, as I was experimenting with the phone, however I could not use an App to do this as it stated phone that the phone needs Rooting first for App to work. Also tried Terminal Emulator app but it kept failing to work as I was probably, unable to input the text commands required correctly.
I hope someone can please help and advise me on this.
M
Kind regards
I have compiled for you an Odin-Flashable downgrade to original Nougat ROM.
Does NOT have Google FRP in this version (the ROM came stock this way; unmodified), this is useful if you forgot your Google email.
Download Odin3 and the .tar file HERE
- Open Odin v3.12.7
- Plug in phone to PC
- Simply boot into download mode (Powered off- Hold HOME+POWER+VOLUME DOWN)
- Click AP
- Select J327T1.tar
- Click Start
Once it finished it will reboot and update. It is going to get stuck on 32%, do not worry.
It will take a second, but the recovery menu will pop up. Select Reboot System and it will take some time to get to the OS but you will eventually have Nougat pop up and ready to go!
Enjoy!
*UPDATE*
In the download links I have the "Factory Binary" Custom ROM. It's pretty useful in messing with the phone software, although I do not know the specific use. Use the same method above to install the ROM.
Also, I do believe you can edit the .tar and add TWRP by downloading the recovery.img from my link and replacing it in the .tar and following the same steps. I have not tested because I was helping my brother access his phone because he forgot his Google account after he reset his phone.

Well idk if it is considered to be custom. Its still the stock rom. But idk he shoulda tested twrp bc if it works then that would be awesome. But idk the bootloader is locked. If anyone has this device and willing to test please do so. I cannot test since this phone is my primary phone that i use on a daily basis.

I only have a similar device, not the same, but bootloader was already unlocked, all you really need to do is wait for an unknown command screen to stop.

Yes, it runs perfectly.
Good ish' Brad, now hopefully someone will get twrp and I'll cough up the money for another cheap t1
Ok so its not truly the factory binary, its an emulator of that, meaning any changes were not flashed over as in other devices. but i have been thinking and, i'll post this in the original as well, magisk....only works if you completely wipe the device first, same with custom roms, i never tried that when i had the j3, bricks be damned we got odin3 and i got scripts to get outta brick an into download.
if someone would be ao kind as to factory reset and tr installing twrp, that wuld be amazing, i have been working with the note 4 sprint variant and there are a few steps in installng custom roms that we were over looking

Only way I can help you is by telling you go buy yourself a PC if you're going to start routing and or developing the firmware on Android devices it is extremely hard nearly impossible these days with Android devices running version Android 6.0 and up to root without a PC the best and easiest way I've found to root a Android device is to First install a custom recovery like TWR p or ClockworkMod and have a unlocked bootloader then from there you can easily download SuperSU and Flash it with a firmware flashing application like ClockworkMod ROM manager that is downloadable on Play Store what I'm trying to say is if you are using kingroot or kingoroot you're going to be hitting that button 4 million years and nothing will happen either by an Android that has a lower version like any version below 5.0 or get yourself a computer and do some research because it is very easy to do the stuff as long as you know what you're doing if you don't it seems way more complicated than it actually is you're in the right place here on XDA to learn everything you need to know so you're off to a great start I hope this helps have a good one good luck
So is there no way we can downgrade further to a firmware that includes the developer option to oem unlock?... I'm about to try and flash what the op posted right now... I'll post results
