Bluetooth turns off randomly after DirtySanta... - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I see this device has a buttload of issues with Bluetooth....And have tried clearing the cache in Bluetooth...But would love to fix this totally garbage issue of the Bluetooth totally turning off, forcing me to re-enable it to connect again. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ☺

Any luck with this? I'm stock and noticed mine started turning off about two weeks ago. I'm assuming some app I installed is causing it but not sure which one.

Not turning off however I am having issues with auto-reconnect on my BT headphones (JBL Everest 700). When I turn the headphones on they never auto connect to BT, I always have to go in and select them and only then will they connect.
Also other BT weirdness: Music plays with no sound although BT still connected. Not sure how I managed to do this as its happened a few times. I think leaving the music paused too long does it. Maybe the headphones stay connected but go to sleep...not sure. Anyway to get sound again one must close the music app, turn off BT device and switch off-on the BT on the phone...

Odd Bluetooth audio condition.

Bluetooth works great for me in my car for the most part. I am running the m build rooted and unlocked with a keyboard hiding tool and dpi changer all from the play Store. Bluetooth will connect with no issue, display correctly on my car display and play music but all other sounds stop, system, notifications and so on but calls do make noise. Once I disconnect from Bluetooth this issue persist and if I try to play music I hear nothing from the speaker, if I press the volume control it pops up top with the Bluetooth symbol even though I'm disconnected. If I leave Bluetooth off and restart the phone everything works perfectly and as soon as I connect to Bluetooth its right back to the issue. I can't quite figure this one out.
I was able to reproduce the issue 3 times yesterday, as well as now being aware why my sound was missing the day before. Oddly though today it didn't happen.

After disconnecting Bluetooth, Audio won't play off speaker

So I'm miffed! My brand new baby is giving me a Bluetooth nightmare. After I use it with Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 headset and disconnect the Bluetooth (even if I switch off Bluetooth), phone audio won't come thru the regular speaker. However, if I switch on the speakerphone, then audio works.
A restart fixes the problem. But it is super annoying. Anyone else experience the issue? Do you guys have an idea of how to fix this?
Until this, I've been super happy with my white 128GB baby!
You aren't crazy, I've had some similar problems. if you notice, when this issue is active and you try to turn your volume up, it'll show BT volume being changed instead of regular. For me, I can usually toggle BT on and off again to get it back to normal.

This also works for me. Still annoying though.
I don't know the tech verbiage perhaps a developer is best equipped however:
1. Connecting Bluetooth seems to cause the system to act stupid. I had found a video through MyVidSter which took me to Pornhub while on the toilet I figured I'd let it download as I proceeded to brush my teeth and take a shower (fresh, beautiful, and clean)
2. Next I connect my Bluetooth headsets and go to playback my video and it stalls gives error can't play.
3. Turn off device restart
4. WHAM, it finally can play the same video it couldn't just a moment ago.
5.I then disconnected and noticed my sound wasn't there when I went to YouTube to listen to a Formation.
6. I tried PowerAmp and the strangest thing the file played the song at like 256x very sped up! I could see the scrub bar moving along very fast!! No sound or video would play on YouTube or my photo gallery
7. I finally go to setting power on Bluetooth toggle for a few seconds then turned it off and finally videos sound and music without would play again.
8. My daddy Alabama.. Momma Louisiana... You mix that Creole with that negro make a Texas baaaammaaa

Having the same issue with LG HBS-810 Headset. If I turn off the headphones before I turn off Bluetooth on my phone, it's OK. If I turn off Bluetooth on my phone first, then no sound. Also, If I turn on the headphones first, then Bluetooth on my phone, they will not connect until I turn off and back on my headphones.
I seem to have the same issue on my Nexus 7 (2013) with Android 6.0.1, so I think it's a 6.0.1 bug.

Randomly stopping Bluetooth output?

Sometimes my phone switches from Bluetooth audio to headset for no apparent reason. The device stays connected and I can choose my car in the audio path but it's an annoying habit the phones picked up. Anyone know of a fix?

Might be the new update. Since the new update if I'm playing music via Bluetooth it'll randomly stop playing. It didn't do this until the new update.

AI just picked this phone up yesterday and I have the same issues. A simple reboot seemed to fix it. I was at the gym and the Bluetooth kept cutting out. It wasnt cutting off, but rather out.

Audio BT Bug still not fixed in 2.0.303

If you stream any audio, pocketcasts, i heartradio etc. to a BT Speaker device after about 20-30 minutes (random times) the sound becomes skippy/distorted and you need to either turn on the screen and it's ok for another 20-30 or it happens again quicker. If not paired with BT speaker, it doesn't happen. But it's not the BT speaker, because i can use other android devices with the same exact apps and it doesn't have the problem.
I wish this would get resolved. Initially i thought it was greenify but i removed it but the same occurred and this with the battery at 100%.
If there is anything that can be done, please advise, i will try to assist in troubleshooting.
one more important piece of info. Tablet reboots itself if i leave it alone with the distorted/skippy issue. There is some type of error going on.

Media through bluetooth keeps dropping out...

I am having a weird issue that I've never encountered before. I have a bluetooth earpiece (an MPOW one from Amazon). If, while listening to podcasts (or music or anything else) through it I disconnect from Wifi, the audio drops from the earpiece and keeps playing from the phone's speaker. I then have to turn off my earpiece and turn it back on again to get the audio to route through the earpiece. It doesn't disconnect (still shows as connected) when this happens...it just stops playing though the earpiece.
I've tried forgetting and repairing the bluetooth device. I've tried rebooting. I've tried clearing the data for the Bluetooth Sharing application...none of it has fixed the problem. If I turn my wifi off, this doesn't happen....
Any help?
Bluetooth is 2.45Ghz, actually 2400Mhz to 2483.5 MHz including guard bands 2 MHz wide at the bottom end and 3.5 MHz wide at the top...
"2.4Ghz" 802.11 WiFi is 2401Mhz to 2495Mhz...
See the problem here? Your issue is not uncommon... reconfigure your router to a different channel or use a 5Ghz WiFi connection and your situation should improve.
This varies by device, and even varies between identical devices, and depends on the environment and situation at the time. My device may have no issues with my BT headset and your does, it actually isn't that unusual.

I'm having the same issues. The wifi interference is not the issue. It's been happening to me playing offline materials on Google Play (podcast) and Amazon Music apps It's auto dropping when connected to my car, headphones etc. I wonder if it has something to do with my Pebble smart/dumb watch.? I'm going to try and disconnect that and reconnect it. It was a pain in the Arse the first time. Let me know if you ever figured anything else out. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of traffic on this subject. It's gotta be something obscure. :cyclops:
I finally just did a system reset on my phone and it has fixed the problem. I wonder if it was an app I had installed that was causing the issue....I'm not really sure though.
I'm having the same issue - bluetooth disconnects whenever Wifi disconnects. Anyone figure out what's causing this?
Same issue here too. Mine says it is still connected, but starts playing through the phone speaker. It just happened on a second item, so it's the phone end.
I suspect a rogue app.... Moto G5 Plus

This was driving me crazy too the last few weeks. Cache Cleaner seems to have fixed it.
Mine has been giving me the exact same issues!!! It is driving me crazy!
Tried clearing cache...didn't help. I can't get my wifi to stay connected for the life of me! I'll connect, and it'll die within 5-10 minutes, and won't reconnect until I manually reconnect. This is getting really annoying! Any suggestions?
Cache cleaner turned out to be a temporary fix only. I think I have finally fixed it, but the bad news is I can't really tell anyone what I did. I just went through and either uninstalled or froze all the apps I rarely use including several Motorola apps and it appears to be working now. So if it continues to work, it was a rogue app...just don't know which one.
