I got my V20 today and when I go to download the smart switch app from play store it says it is not compatible with my device and won't let me download it. What do I do?

Install this on your Samsung phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lge.mobilemigration
Its built into the V20, so once the app is on your Samsung, it can be used to copy data to your V20.
This is basically LG's version of Smart Switch.

Same here...
How to get "Call of Duty: Strike Team" working on the Galaxy Note 3 and maybe other devices *Legally*. I was able to legally install the game on my galaxy note 3. Here's how. Find a safe apk. If it installs you will be able to get to the download(obb) but it will not let you. Once you get to that point purchase the game via chrome or internet browser. Relaunch game and then you should see the download (obb) working. Have fun!
Toxic why don't u upload the apk. And share the link with us

For those of us rooted, can't we just change our build.prop to one of the supported devices and download it?
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk 2
Possibly. Idk people with s4 can download and they have the same dpi as us. So we know it's not that

I had a device that was compatible to purchase. After installing apk I purchased it and had a valid license to download obb files. So put simply install 3rd party apk from trusted source. Install it. Confirm you can at least get to game download window. Then purchase app through a Internet browser. It worked for me can't see why it wouldn't for other devices with similar hardware.
I've been playing it on mine I used the wamam

I clicked on the play store link you provided in op, doesn't say not compatible for me and has the $6.99 price tag. Does it have that or just say not compatible? I'm on a us cell note 3 not sure if that matters. Completely stock.

It's just odd for some it says not compatible and others it doesn't. Unless they changed it since op looked up the game.

Full desktop browser. Don't matter if you do it from your phone laptop or destop. I did it from my phone. But if you don't have another device that is compatible it might not let you purchase but idk because I have multiple devices. If not their are multiple ways to fake device if you are rooted. If you don't want to root login with your account information on a compatible device buy it and log out. I've already confirmed it will work on the U.S. Galaxy Note 3.
Bought the game on my laptop and its currently downloading to my Note 3

[Q] WiFi Connection Optimizer

I just switched from Sprint a couple weeks ago, where I also had an LG G2, to T-Mobile. I'm still loving this phone - enough that I couldn't justify giving it up to try the Nexus 5.
Anyway, one thing I liked about the G2 on Sprint was a Connection Optimizer (I think it was called). You know when you go to a public wifi and have to pull up a website and agree to their notice before you can use the connection? This handy little tool did that automatically for you on wifi networks you've previously connected to. I LOVED it. With the exception of Tom Thumb, it worked flawlessly for me everywhere I went.
Well I'm not seeing or finding that on the T-Mobile G2. Am I just missing it? Is it possible to install it or is it just a Sprint thing?
I'm not rooted yet and don't plan to be any time soon.
If someone can extract an apk you should be able to install it even if you're not rooted. I'm also interested in this as well

How would one go about making such a request?
I'll see if I can extract the app. I'll download the sprint kdz and see if i can find it and I'll extract it here in a bit

Looks like it's a no go because i was looking more into it and it looks like it's an embedded feature on sprint devices
although you can give WiFi Web Login a try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.uk.syslynx.wifiwebloginapp
it says it does exactly the same
Thanks for looking into it, I appreciate it. I'll check out that app.

Switching from Galaxy Note 2 to LG v20

Hey guys!
I am switching from Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to LG v20 and was wondering how to import all my data from Note 2. I have few backups with Samsung Kies and is there a way to just import a fresh backup from Kies to LG?
I will prefer a program like Samsung Kies for Windows that can work with both phones but if there's an App that I can install on both phones and transfer data via bluetooth / wifi or something is fine too.
Thanks!
You have to use LG backup, download it from the play Store

Thanks Nick, I just checked it on playstore and there are many reviewers saying its not working with new LG phones. I will still give it a try when I get the phone.
Any other suggestions are appreciated!

I had issues with it myself mainly stemming from time constraints so I can't comment on that myself

Some carriers like AT&T have apps to do it as well.

I used the app to move from my Note7 to my V20. It moved all my apps (without saved data), call logs, contacts, and texts.

I did it as well - but just as a suggestion, when setting up the V20, make sure your sim card is in or it's connected to wifi and make sure that you setup your google account. Otherwise it will not install your apps.
First go round, I bypassed the google screen and was going to do it after and I still had my sim in my Note 7 and was at work (no wifi) and it did not install any of my apps.
I made a backup on my SD card using LG backup, installed the SD card in my lgv20 and transferred it that way. Worked out fine.

Smart Doctor App

Hello , recently just purchase the LG V20 I noticed that I don't have the smart doctor app. is there any other way to download the app? Thanks
what does it do?
Smart Doctor, an app that lets your monitor, analyze, and clean up your smartphone’s resources, particularly battery and memory. I think just like the LG G5 certain countries have it.
Probably because killing apps generally isn't a good idea anymore. If it's hanging then go into recent apps and kill it. Otherwise it's best to let Android take care of it.

Doesn't work... I think it we need root to put it in the system folder and set permission
Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
I doubt that it would work even if you could put it into the system folder through root. Verizon probably disabled the hardware as well. They did this on the LG G4 as well.
Dang. Sorry guys. Was hoping it would work too haha.

I wonder if Next Radio uses any data? I'm sure it very minimal if it does use any at all. But the FM radio tuner does work. I would love to see someone work on getting the LG Tuner to work on the Verizon model.

The website for that app says that it works with any phone with an FM chip and the correct API. It requires the use of headphones or some cable to act as the antenna. It does use some data for album covers and information, but you can turn that off by going into Tuner Only mode and then you will use NO data. Haven't actually tried it - just reading off their website.

No data... Your phone needs FM receiver chip. Most phones have it but carriers in the US used to disable it, lately they haven't which is good

Have it on my US Cellular G6 and it works very well. Unfortunately you cant send the FM signal to a bluetooth device.

Thanks for sharing. I got this to install on my G6 G600 (Korean) and it opened up. It says to turn the radio on. Pressing the standby button does nothing and I cannot see any other options. Any ideas at all?
I just tried it on my V20, I get to the "Turn the radio on" screen only after the "Plug in earphones to use as antenna" screen.
You've plugged in your earphones, yes?
