Does anyone have a link to the best/easiest way to root this device? I'm used to seeing stickies coming from the OnePlus One. Thanks

Alright guys, I think I'm gonna go for it. I want to know the easiest way to root this (version 4.2.2) phone on a mac. Are there any videos? I want to do it the safest way possible. Also, after I'm done rooting, what roms do you guys recommend? thanks
See the stickies at the top of the general section?

I had to have my screen repaired last week and they seem to flash new software as standard when returning the phone. Anyway I have lost root access so I can't restore my titanium backup and I can't find a way to root 4.4 apart from this one link on Youtube which is very difficult to understand what the guy is saying and he doesn't post links to help clarify (I'm not allowed to post links as a noob but the video is called How to root nexus 4 running android 4.4 KitKat)]
Are there any suggestion on how I can get my root access back?
Did you unlock the bootloader?

Hi thanks for the response.
I managed to find the brilliant Nexus Root Toolkit from WugFresh. I can't post links but google it. Really easy and automatic for noobs like myself.
I'm seeing a lot of different methods for rooting this phone. I've got the xt1575 on AT&T bone stock MM. What is the best way to get root working? I need it broken down barney style since I haven't rooted a moto device since my old ass Xoom.

These guides are written for the purpose of walking people through the root process. It's all there. Read the entire thread and then follow the steps.
I've tried a search but I can't seem to find anything. Maybe its this movile app. I'm trading in my phone to T-Mobile today but I need to unroot and go back to stock. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am new to this device and I wish to root it but I also don't have any idea how to root my Nexus 6p on Android 8.1 because I couldn't find any guidance for this. Also I prefer using magisk only as I trust it a lot. Please if anyone can guide me step by step for rooting my device as I'm a noob in case of nexus devices. Also I want to stay on stock ROM and want to install regular security updates which I feel is a privilege from Google. So please guide me to installing the OTA updates as well. Thank you
