Hi.
I own a P5110 tablet and really like the Touchwiz UI, but sometimes find it a bit laggy.
Is there a way to overclock the stock rom? I don't want to go to Cyanogenmod and loose all the Samsung's stock apps and functionality.
Thank You!
You can root your device and use an app from the play store?

I don't think is so easy. I believe you have to flash a kernel that allows you to overclock. This is what I'm asking here...
All i really want are themes to make my device look cool
and i heard you need roms to install themes
i unlock root device perfectly fine
but everytime i try to install a rom my device ****s up and im forced to reset
(the rom loads up but the device only has like 3 apps no play store and stuff like that, no google features which i like)
so it is possible on stock rom?
For custom roms you have to flash a Google Apps (Gapps) package separately. This contains all the google apps you need.
Btw, you can try installing Xposed Framework and XThemeEngine. They require root.
Or wait for the Themer app by MyScreenColor to be released. It will be a non-root app and contains awesome designer themes.

how do i know which Gapp i need?
im trying to install carbon 1.8
Most of the times, there are links for both the rom and the proper gapps package in the threads. If you can't find it there, download one from here: http://goo.im/gapps
I suppose you could just use a 3rd party launch that you could just re-theme? Not sure if you're talking more about the innards of the OS. I think your only option may be to root.
edit: someone already posted my idea, whoops.
Is the Paranoid Android Pie Controls (expanded desktop mode) open sourced and installable on other ROMS? I love PA's ROM mainly for that function but I also would like the stock LG apps such as the LG quick remote and wireless transfer. or does anyone know of a way to get them to work with PA. I tried extracting the APK files. no luck installing or moving to system/app. Also tried the ZIP file i found too with no luck.
Download LMT (somewhere on xda hahaha).
It's not COMPLETELY pie but it looks darn similar

The rom has to based on LG's framework in order for the LG specific apps to work. You will have to use LMT to get PIE like functionality on the stock rom.

Hello o/
Is there any fast way to dissable it (or even delete)? I dont like any launchers on the AppStore, I just want to take it away from my home screen ;d
There is a way, but you will need to root and have Xposed installed. This is the module: Xposed GEL Settings
root =/= flashing? i will lose warranty after rooting? is there any guide how to root g4?
Looks like xposed GEL is the only way to accomplish that, if you'd want to stick to the default launcher.
Alternatively, if you don't want to go through the process of unlocking bootloader + rooting + installing xposed with temporary reboot to custom recovery, you could try a different launcher, such as Nova Launcher off playstore. Then there's the new Taskbar app which can keep the homescreen clutter free while giving quick access to shortcuts and apps.

I can't imagine not liking any of the dozens of launchers available. Many are identical to the crappy stock launcher with more options.

The fastest way is to install Nova Launcher and you can remove the G search bar

Hi the best way to remove a System App is by using root. (http://kingroot.br.uptodown.com/android)
After you rooted it, is just going to play store and intall this app to remove de apps (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp)
Anyway you can also follow this tutorial and remove them without rooting
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAe2kxUOhJA)
The best roms now to me are on XDA:
If you want just battery life expanded install one like Helios Or Ressurection
If you want more functions like a lot of customize options use one like Superman or Renovate And you will not lose that look of samsung on main interface
If you want to go further, install an s8 port or s8+ like batman or Sac23's Roms
Personally i use the sac23's rom v5
(https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-n7-rom-port-romcontrol-t3430358)
It give me a lot of s8 fuctions like Bixby and others, have a really good battery life and manegement and the way they convert the graphics and images like lookscreen clock is just amazing
Hope I have helped you
Yes, but......

1. As much as I know about your writing, you want root. So it's no big deal to remove the app system you want (with root). I usually use titanium backup for it.
2. If you still want without root, maybe this can be tried.
