so i searched all over google, as well as xda, and didn't find an answer. I bought a galaxy tab with the samsung branded keyboard dock.. and the auxiliary out/speaker line out does not function properly. the sound quality declines substantially and restores itself when i plug it straight into the tablet... I have exchanged it and had the same issues. is there a manual fix for this? im not afraid to put open this sucker and fix it.i
Hi all,
I'm a newly converted Samsung lover.. dropped my iPhone and have a Note 3. I want to shoot a video for You Tube and realize the built in microphone will not be suitable. I 've tried to plug in an external microphone but it does not work at all.. as if blocked. No sound at all coming from the microphone. Somebody said something to me about a Kernel.. don't even know what that is. Could I get some "sound advice?"
Thanks so much!!

Hi
OS = Cyanogenmod 13
Android = 6.0.1
open Gapps = Yes
Whatsapp voicemail volume of myself is very low even if i speak really loud directly into the mic.
I belive this is a software issue so i did some research before i posted here.
I found out that theres a file in the folder /system/etc/snd_soc_msm or smth that contains variables for every sound related **** but im too dump to figure out what variable is for this special mic input volume
bump.
anyone please
What if dirt is stuck in the microphone hole?
nope checked that
Welcome to the CM world, They couldn't get the right driver for the mic? or Samsung didn't let them to have it? all AOSP based ROMs have the same issue with I9505 , If you tried GPE you will find the mic is just like the Stock Samsung S4 so my guess Samsung didn't let anyone to have it except if they want to.
Samsung isn't very open with their stuff. Look at the Exynos chips. No documentation for the devs.
Anyway, I don't have any problem with the volume. At least I never noticed a difference between the stock rom, gpe rom, cm based roms and aosp roms.
Hello guys. I have bought Galaxy S5 NEO SM-G903F. Dont get me wrong, the phone is good, BUT i want to boost the volume in headset and speaker ... I have read a lot of information there and in google too. I have read something about mixer_paths.xml. Yea i have it too, but its different from the what it has in Galaxy s5 only so i have no RX7 LINES and those kind of stuffs. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783968 I read this, but on my neo s5 i have no path_speaker or path_headset, or RX7.. Its just different. I have something like DAC GAIN volume and a lot of stuffs like this.. but i really need to edit that file to make the sound more loud in speaker and headset. Please, can you help me ? And sorry if my title is in the wrong section (Im a new at this forum)
hello guys!, I saw that on samsung galaxy s6 there is a mod that allows you to use two speakers for listening to music, etc. (stereo mod) .., anyone can make it work on galaxy a5 2016?
Yes we need it

Yeah I was also thinking the same
I could be wrong but I can't imagine that there would be any improvement in sound from that little ear speaker. The speakers are also so close together and of different size so i doubt it would give a stereo perspective unless you're right in front of the screen.
I have googled alot for info on both modem and dac used for 7580 board but couldn't find any data for it anywhere. Any one knows what DAC is used?
All I know is that exynos use some low power audio subsystem so that the main core and memory block can go into sleep mode.
Anyway, I've downloaded the modded and original files for s6 to see what changes have been made.
I'll see if I can find any way to edit our xml's to get sound out of that speaker, when I get time.
