So I picked up a Note 4 model SM-N910C which is the exynos octacore WITH LTE. I am using it with Tmobile USA in Chicago. I get horrible horrible LTE signal. At my apartment I get .53 dl and 3-4 Upld.
When I first got it I went to about phone and it had arab emirates firmware lollipop. Ive tried at least 2 others and still get crap signal. i had a similar issue with a phone before and I fixed the issue by getting into a secret menu and messing with the lte and prl settings. This phone will not let me do that though. Do I need to flash a different radio? What can I do? I am doing the KIES recovery/reset as I type.
I'm facing the same problem here. I have a SM-N910C from mexico but the original carrier, Telcel, didn't provide android 5.1.1 so I flashed a rom from another country. The problem is that now my signal is really bad, when I'm lucky I get two bars but most of the time is just one or none. I can still receive and make calls outdoors but I loose service as well as data almost inside any building. I was wondering if I can solve that with some configuration or reflashing the radio but I'm not sure.
Could please anyone provide some help and guidance?
Thanks!!
Hi guys
My Dad bought an S5 on eBay recently.
Of course we completely forgot about the fact that Korea will have different baseband (or whatever it is called) to Australian S5 models.
Therefore his signal is very weak in aus along with speeds.
Is this just a matter of replacing the antenna cable or would it need a whole new main board?
Thanks
Use another SIM on another network (other than Telstra or whatever network you're on) and see if the signal is also weak. Don't use 4G, try and see if 3G signal is better. Write the exact model number to see if the bands are different vs. the Aussie model. That could be one of multiple possible problems.
Hello My Friends
Sorry English Not First My Language
i Want Buy This phone G930F Verizon Carrier
Can i use this phone With 2G Network By Change rom or any way ?
See Attached Photo To This Post to know what i,m talking about .
Regarding the observations of the professors can i use this phone on 2G netowrk ?
No one guides me !!!!!
930f is not a Verizon phone. Check on gsmarena for the radios and compare to what is available. Most phones still fall back to 1x/edge/2g if possible in the area you're in.
Hi guys, please tell me if I can Russify the firmware on the Samsung Galaxy S7 32GB SM G930V? Thank you.
Hello.. I have a brand new J5 Pro and it has a really bad reception I dont know why, I mean I get full signal with worse and a lot older phones (I got lots of them and all of them get full 4g coverage) while in the brand new J5 Pro Im barelly getting 2 LTE bars.. I dont know if its the modem or a hardware issue but i can't issue a refund or warranty exchange because I already broke KNOX with custom roms.. but the signal doesn't change and I can't flash modems of my region (Telcel, Mexico)
Anyone can help me on this?
I bought a brand new galaxy s6 edge dual sim-9287 from Hong Kong. I have good network signal on 2G network but the WCDMA/3G. network reception is not good on my 9287 phone while there is good WCDMA network in my old galaxy S4. I am using the phone in Africa.
I have flashed several modems.bin and factory reset but nothing improved.
Any advice is highly appreciated, please.

It's odd that I know the answer to this question from a vastly different device. Back in the early 2000s before modern androids I used to get phones from China. Cdma phones that didn't take sim cards. But used UMTS. This isn't a bootloader/modem issue and that's why you haven't been able to solve it. It's a radio issue. Older phones use radio bands, your devices radio is for the wrong country.
