[GUIDE][Automate] No Vibration on call without disabling double tap to wake - OnePlus X General

Hey All,
I've been using Oneplus X for almost a year and I'm very satisfied with it, but there is one thing that always bothered me - the vibration during call (Oneplus X bug).
I've encountered this bug on every OxygenOS version (including the latest 3.1.3) or every custom rom I used (CM 13 sultan).
The only solution I found to fix it is by disabling "double tap to wake" option (as described here) but I didn't want to do that cause I'm using this feature a lot!!
Eventually, I came across this post (@ Oneplus 2 forum) which offered a really nice solution.
He used TASKER app while I used Automate app.
Steps:
Install Automate app.
Download the Flow I've created called: "Disable vibration during call" from in app community.
Go Into the Flow.
Install Flow's permissions (Root needed).
Run it by clicking Start.
That's it!
Flow description:
The flow will disable "double tap to wake" option during call automatically using the command:
echo 0 > /proc/touchpanel/double_tap_enable
and enable it when call ended using:
echo 1 > /proc/touchpanel/double_tap_enable
let me know if this guide was helpful for you.

Disable/Remove Daydream completely,

Nexus player rooted on latest CM build 12/23/15. ( cm-12.1-20151223-NIGHTLY-fugu.zip )
I want to disable/remove daydream completely, I don't need nor want to use it. It doesn't seem to have an option to turn off completely, only delay up to 1 hour max.? I use an app 24/7 on this (thinkorswim) but yeah.. daydream gets in the way every hour and have to wake. Any clue? Hoping for a possible quick command line fix. Thanks
* Yes, I have sleep mode off in the dev settings, I just want to remove/disable daydream.
Kind of hilarious nobody has a clue how to disable a screensaver... Interesting issue
Menu Button -> Manage Apps -> Swipe to "All" -> Scroll to "Basic Daydreams" -> Tap on it -> Tap on the button on the top right "Disable" near the button "Force Stop" on the left.
You can uninstall using any app in the Google Play Store with the search key: "Root Uninstaller"
Since it´s a system-App you may encounter problems with daily usage of Android if it´s missing.

[GUIDE] Enable DT2S without entering in conflict with fingerprint unlock [NO ROOT]

How to enable DT2S without entering in conflict with fingerprint unlock
Hi guys, i recently found a way to enable the DT2S (Double Tap To Sleep) feature on our Honor 8 without giving any administrator permission. As you probably know, when using any application for DT2W it requires the "Device Administrator" permission to immediately lock the screen, but apart the fact that this option could be potentially dangerous, giving administrator permission enables a security measure wich consists in PIN immission right after the screen has been locked (and you try to unlock it with fingerprint). But this method seems to work flawlessy, avoiding the nuisance to insert a PIN everytime the device gets unlocked. The process is quite easy and can be achieved without root, but there are some requirements that i'm going to list below:
You must use Nova Launcher Prime as home screen replacement
You must to be on Android Marshmallow 6.0 or Higher

1. Open the Nova Settings and select the "Gestures" option
1. Take a look at the arrow in the first attachment
2. Select the "Double Tap" option when shows up
2. Take a look at the arrow in the second attachment
3. Select the "Shortcut" tab on the right
3. Take a look at the arrow in the third attachment
4. Select the "Lock screen" option
4. Take a look at the arrow in the fourth attachment
By following the steps above you'll be able to take advantage of the DT2S lock method without compromise the fingerprint unlock function. BTW i don't know if this is a functionality or a bug (i don't think it's a bug), the only thing i know is that it's working good with no problems, also after reboot and shutdown.
PAY ATTENTION
I'm actually using the BETA 5.5 version of Nova, not tested with regular version
Hope this post could help someone Enjoy!
I use Nova Launcher to DT2S without Enable device admin or timeout. Just goto Guesture of Nova Settings, choice shortcut then select Screen Lock. All done

I didn't understand if the P.S line was sarcasm or not. However if you knew that, good, but not everyone knows that. If you just go in Gestures/Double tap/Nova/Lock screen it doesn't work because ask for admin permission, but if you go in Gestures/Double tap/Shortcuts/Lock screen that works. I just wrote this to help someone who didn't already figured this out

NFC toggle Off Automatically During Call - Clicking Workaround

**EDIT - THIS IS NO LONGER REQUIRED AS OF .025, ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED VIA GOOGLE UPDATE**
Hey Guys,
I know a lot of you (myself included) are experiencing the NFC clicking issue on your Pixel 2's.
I wanted to show you a workaround, which will automatically disable NFC during a call, and re-enable it when the call ends. This is a temporary fix which you can use until the following promise is fulfilled...:
"Hey All,
We are validating a software update to address faint clicking sounds on some Pixel 2 devices. The update will be made available in the coming weeks. The clicking noise being reported does not affect the performance of your device but if you find it bothersome you can temporarily turn off NFC in Settings > Connected devices > NFC. "

This workaround uses the Macrodroid application. It requires root (Not yet available as far as I am aware) or an ADB Hack (What I used) for this to work.
You can grant Macrodroid "System" access by performing the following (ADB Hack):
https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/mac...23&p=10455&hilit=WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS#p10455
This will allow Macrodroid to enable and disable NFC WITHOUT root.
Once access has been granted create the following macros:
Macro #1:
Name: NFC Off
Triggers: Call Active (Any Contact, Any Number, Non Contact, Unknown Caller)
Actions: NFC Off
Macro #2:
Name: NFC On
Triggers: Call Ended (Any Contact, Any Number, Non Contact, Unknown Caller)
Action: NFC On
You can disable the persistent notification icon by opening Macrodroid, going to settings > Notification Bar Options > Force Hide Icon.
This has been working great for me, and I know it looks like a lot of work but its a great alternative to manually toggling NFC off and on.
Macrodroid is also super useful in general so, enjoy!
Thanks for this. Very good idea until we get a fix from Google.
I too saw the MacroDroid page you refer to and was just going to post here about it - but saw you'd beaten me to it by several days! It works really well!
I also use Macrodroid to put my phone into silent mode overnight when it's charging AND connected to my home wifi AND it's after 9pm. Disconnecting the power reverts it to normal mode. I love MacroDroid - it's much easier to understand if you're not a programmer than any of its competitors like Tasker.

Oneplus gestures

https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...es-navigation-oneplus-5-5t-android-10-update/
This is present on the 8 Pro too, but back also trigger home in my case ?
Does anyone know why and how to fix?
Same for me love the old one plus gesture of swiping up from the corners to go back, and this edit using the app in the article brings that back, but correct when you swipe up from corner instead of taking you back to the previous page in an app etc ,it just takes you straight to home screen .
It seems both OP gestures and a10 gestures are on simultaneously. There should be a way to disable a10 ones
I got it fully working on my 8 Pro I just need the assistant disabled it keeps popping up when I go back. I asked on the other thread (themes and apps) of the 2 button gestures control got no reply it's been a fews days. If after you set it in the app to activate then in settings, and buttons and gestures you should just see the how to on the bottom of the screen with no option to pick it but there activated

Disable assistant on settings
---------- Post added at 12:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 PM ----------
Settings>apps& notification>default apps>assist & voice input>assist app> none
I wasn't able to disable Assistant as I have no option other than Google in the Assist & Voice input.
I found a way to disable the Assistant with the following adb command:
Code:
adb shell settings put secure assistant 0
This will remove the assistant gesture completely.
The only problem, that the setting resets after restart.
Another possible solution is to install Tasker from the Play Store and start it up.
Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Default apps > Assist & voice input > Assist app. Select Tasker and click OK.
Perform the assistant gesture and click "Stop Reminding".
Open Tasker again and in the menu on the top right just select Disable Tasker.

You can disable it through settings. Unsure of exactly where the setting is, but in settings, search for default assist.
Is it just me that despite all this tricks still ends up home when swiping for back on the right hand side?
I manage to only go back, but for that to work I need to swipe aaaal the way to the right (like on the curved part), and still there it triggers the to lines coming in from the sides and meeting up in the middle. I think this is something like a animation for the assistant.
I didn't know I was able to disable it (Google Assistant). thank you very much. Done and back to stock OnePlus gestures control. ? Much appreciated

And this option (none) as it is shown on the picture isn't shown to me. There are only Google Assistant, Firefox and a third app to choose but the option"none"is not offered. So it seems I am unable to disable the Assistant to get back the OnePlus gestures. Someone has any advice how to get it disabled?
If you follow my post to change it via the command of just change it to use Tasker, it'll work.
I don't have to option to select nothing either, but with the ADB command, you can force it, until a restart and this method will disable the gesture completely. If you decide to use tasker, the gesture will stay there, so you'll see the lines going from the corners towards the middle, but no action to8 be performed.

Yeah I have the same problem in apps and notifications / default apps./ Assist. On previous devices this is where I disabled the assistant, but the option none isn't here. The one found if searching for "default assist" is somewhere else, I think somewhere in Google settings as the background color changes to a lighter one.

this works beautifully on my 1+8 thanks!
Hello, is this still possible with the new Android 11 update? I just tried the op_gesture_button_side_enabled and it only sort of works, I can disable google assistant with adb however swipe up from the bottom side triggers both back and home action now.. Anyone solved this problem?

Workaround for Wear OS Reminder (with IFTTT)

I used to have this issue, when I used Google Assistant on my Huawei Watch (1st Gen) and create a reminder (e.g. Ok, Google, remind me to take out the trash at 12pm) the reminder would be set just fine. It was visible in the reminder section of my phone and my watch.
However, when the reminder was supposed to go off, it would only go off on my phone (with a tone) and then display the set reminder.
On my watch the reminder is only found when I swipe up an look at the notifications. But there would be no vibration or pop-up notification.
This issue seems to be widely known and affects a lot of Wear OS users. On my search for a solution to this issue, I've found some workarounds using Tasker (which is a paid app and probably not very user friendly for the average user) but I found nothing that would solve this issue quickly and easily.
Now, some might have already done this, but since I did not see any thread describing a workaround with IFTTT, I'm just gonna put this here.
What you need:
- IFTTT app installed on your phone.
- IFTTT app installed on your Wear OS watch
Now you simply create an IFTTT applet (which can still be done for free, but if you want to create more than 3 custom applets, the app wants you to pay).
Here's how I did it:
1. Tap on create new applet.
2. The app will ask you "If this" at first, and you just tap on "Android Device".
3. Select trigger: Here you just tap "Notification received from a specific app".
4. Just enter "Google" under app name. (I tried to enter "Reminder" to be more specific, but unfortunately, that didn't work)
5. Now the app will ask you to add "Then That". Choose Wear OS.
6. The only option given here is "Send a notification". Choose this.
7. Tap continue and now you can name the applet, then just click finish.
Now, every time the reminder triggers on your phone, you will get a notification from IFTTT on your watch for this reminder.
It worked pretty good for me, but I'm not sure what other Google service notifications are triggered. Maybe some of you guys can try this and come up with a more specific way to trigger only the reminders.
I hope this helps some of you guys dealing with this issue! It's been bugging me (and others, as far as I read) for quite a while.
Enjoy!

I almost never use reminder, seems to be handy. I just tried it and it create notif on phone and my ticwatch E. Maybe you need to allow permission or enable notification for WearOS app on your phone. Make sure also the notification on the watch is not block (app info of Reminder).
Alternatively, you can use Automagic instead of tasker. The app now is free on the main website (unfortunately, development stopped already). It has companion app on the watch need to be installed too. Then create flow with trigger Notification on Statusbar Displayed, select the WearOS one. You can choose action to vibrated, recreate the notification on Watch or create full screen display on watch, using widget. No IFTTT nor internet needed.
