Dust inside front camera !! - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

I have been using MotoG4 plus from past 2 months and lately seen a lot of dust on the front camera from inside.
Is anyone else also facing this problem ?
Never faced such problem in earlier version of moto g phones.

Never had that problem on any phone I've had. And I've had a lot of them. Maybe get service if it's affecting your pics.

Open the phone and clean it. Use double sided adhesive foam to tighten the camera from air. Maybe you have a model where they forgot this piece of foam?

1st: how da hell dust came into the back of glass your device was badly made(a.k.a faulty) or u already opened one time :/.
to fix is just opening the device, witch dosent hurt your warranty as long you dont touch anything except the back of glass to clear.(i dont know if its true, but i saw in lots of places this, even here on xda).

Dust getting inside OPT camera lens

I bought my OPT at the end of Dec 2015 and using it since then as my daily driver. I stared to notice that small dust grains are accumulating inside the camera lens and it's increasing day by day. I intend to use the OPT for at least two years but currently I fear that it would get really dirty by then to capture decent picture.
a) Is there any one facing the same issue ?
b) How to prevent dust from getting inside the camera lens?
b) Is there any way to clean the dust if it gets really dirty?
Thanks in advance

Go to a service center. Looks like a faulty camera. Happened to me on my oppo find7. Getting it cleaned wont work as dust will find its way again. Proper thing to do would be to get the camera piece changed.

Do you have any scratches on your moto g4 plus?

I have one crack on the flash and two small scratches on the camera(not affecting quality as far as I can tell). I just bought this phone 3 days ago I don't know when or how these cracks/scratches appeared. The front screen and fingerprint button are in mint condition.
I wanna know if you guys have noticed similar or the same issues.
Yep u r right, camera and the surrounding area is prone to get scratches even if you take a lot of care, probably due to cheap quality plastic used. Mine is full of scratches too
ya sme

I also got sme scratch on camera module dont know how.....till now its nt affecting the camera quality bt still worried for future
I got couple of scratches on rear camera... they should have used Corning Gorilla Glass
Same here the cover of the cam module is of low quality I guess.
I guess using camera skin will help......to some extent
Don't knowwhy this happened. But I want to ask that when did you order?
Am suspecting that there are some difference in quality in different batches. Mine doesn't have a single scratch, but my brothers have lots of scratches.

can unit is little protruded so it is prone to scratches, i would recommend using a thick back cover

No matter how much care you take it'll still get scratches, God knows what kind of material they've used, it'll get scratches even if its fully covered

I got it a week ago, the scratches came with it. It was the last one in the store.
Yes, the Camera protector glass is much prone to scratches as it's the first thing to touch the surface when you land the phone. I observed these scratches on my colleague's phone. When I ordered one, I quickly got it protected by an Armor back case. Now I am not worried of fall or scratches besides it gives good grip
Anyone in the forum, who ordered on day 1?
Also, i want to ask that if anyone compared the brightness values between the 1st day order and those ordered afterwards? I observed great difference in the colour. Mine produced white but my brother's was having a little yellowish tint.

Where do you get a case like that? I don't think there are any cases in any store my country yet if ever.
No matter from which lot you got the mobile, it'll get scratches. I observed it on my first week use then I quickly ordered Camera skin from here
and now it's looking fu*ng cool and no more scratches
no problem

yeah i got it day 1, no problem on my end, produced colors are same as always
I think the Crack you mentioned on flash is a separator for two led flash being of different colors. Also it's a fine thin line which is quite straight. Cracks generally are not so straight. But yes I also have few scratches on the camera protector
No scratches at all on my Moto g4+ ordered from Amazon.

It is NOT the seperator line, I know there is one that goes like a -. The crack is more like a / that ain't straight.

Mine has stayed great so far, I've had it for about a month but I really baby my phones. I take it in and out of a case all the time and havn't seen any damage so far.
Even on my phone ... Those damages are not visible easily but upon tilting phone i see some wyt spots
I feel really worried abt it. Ant ways can u tell me how much it may cost me to replace the body in service center
So this tells us we need to keep Moto g5 plus in case, always.

Can you clean a camera lens?

A few months ago my phone had a small piece of lint or something on the camera lens. At the time, it wasn't a big deal and since I was past warranty (also purchased from huawei) i Justin lived with it. Now it is getting worse and I am starting to think about a new phone.
This one has been fine and a see no reason to upgrade of this could be fixed fairly easily/cheaply.
Had anyone experienced something like this or have any thoughts on a fix?
Replying just in case someone else has a similar issue.
Removed the back glass with a hairdryer and a razor blade from my safety razor which cut through the glue very easily. Unfortunately the dust seems to be in the camera and not on the lense. No manner of cleaning made a but if difference.

:good:find a local cellphone repair shop and have them fix it, shouldn't be very expensive, they can even replace thew whole camera if need be.

I am thinking about doing it myself. A battery replacement would be helpful as well. Mostly just wanted to update anyone who is looking that cleaning didn't help so replacement is only real option.
