[Solved] XT1644 firmware MPJ 24.139-64 overheating? - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Well, I have my US XT1644 unlocked and used it with firmwares 139-48 (original), 139-49 and for a week with the latest 139-64.
Since I have installed the last one, the top-left side of the phone (looking at the back, next to the M identation) gets very warm during using and even when charging. It didn't used to feel that warm with the previous two firmwares.
Does anyone else have the same experience?
Kind of where the circle is in this picture:

Solved, it was an update to the ES Explorer that had 'hanged' the CPU in high usage. Killed the process and all is good.

Yeah, it's too bad that ES Explorer has become way too bloated.

I was wondering if I'm experiencing overheating and a faulty device. Should I return my device for a replacement?

[Q] Battery Bug

I just got my Galaxy S5 on monday from T-Mobile. It has a bug where the battery was drained by Google + (25%, but disabled it after), Instagram with 10% (uninstalled it), but now, it is Google Play Services doing it. I have photos to show what my issue is. I am running stock T-Mobile latest kernel and rom.

Unknown item showing up in battery usage

Can anyone help me identify this item showing up in my battery usage? It's not something I've ever seen on any of my phones, and it's just a number... I'm not rooted or anything, haven't gotten around to it yet.

I think that means it's an app you used and have recently uninstalled, thus Android doesn't know the name of it.
Ahhh that is a good guess. Thanks, I didn't think of that. I will see if it shows up again on the next battery cycle.

Enables Wi-Fi calling
Got one for H830 today to but not sure that it's WiFi calling.. Don't want to lose root so haven't investigated yet.. Lol
We don't even have root so fly at it Rogers users. Completely fixed all my battery issues as well. Standby is excellent once again.

Advice on what's hogging my battery and zapping it at 50ish %

Hi. I'm on the B03 build of Oreo non rooted. Had to manually find the download as bought phone from Italy and imported to UK.
Really like Oreo but since getting it, my battery has been cutting out at around 50% sometimes lower. There is something in the battery life that is hogging it but it doesn't say what, just the android symbol at 86%.
Would a new battery fix this or is it time for a new phone? I've only had this 2 years and most phones I've got 4 years out of. Love the hardware but it's been a bugger for lack of support and no OTA updates.
