I am having an issue with a Bluetooth connection via my sound bar. My wife accidentally paired it to the player again by again I mean the last I was unable to forget the device so I traded my nexus player with my brothers.
Now these are the solutions that I have done; unpaired then reboot, factory reset (by the way seriously how does it still remember it?), installed a Bluetooth shortcut apk, and unpaired turned bluetooth off then, yet it still appears after time. There is no way of disabling the Bluetooth on the soundbar either. The one workaround that I am able to do is put the soundbar in pairing mode then watch what I need to, yet eventually it interrupts again.

Thought I'd fire off a thread to see if anyone else was having issues with BT on their x10's, this stems from an issue I was tracking originally shown by the Wiimote controller app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=672884 from about page 21 onwards) where by bluetooth on the phone and effectively the controller would lock up and both would need resetting before they would work again (turning off the bluetooth on the phone would work but then not allow it to be switched back on again untill the phone was rebooted).
I then also tested the BT by trying to do a large file transfer (700mb) via BT from my laptop which was unsuccessful even after several attempts I was never able to get past about 5% (small files <10mb seemed to be ok as I've transfered photos etc accross with out issues), this however didnt result in a complete lockup of the BT it just stopped transfering after a while and would eventually time out (although i did have to unpair and reset both on one occation as the laptop started to fail transfers imediatly before even actually trying to send).
Has anyone seen similar?
Yes, I have had some BT issues, just like you I had BT crash and had to restart the phone to be able to start BT again.
If I remember right, I was just connecting my MW600 headset to the phone, and already had my macbook associated to the headset.
Playing around trying to make the headset work somehow crashed BT (forcing a restart of the phone)
And another problem i´ve had is that sometimes you are unable to reconnect the headset and having to restart BT in the phone to make it work again.
BT also crashed once when I had it connected to my car, in the middle of a conversation, again forced to restart the phone to be able to start BT.
Yeah, there are some issues to iron out...
I have the At&t Xperia Play, still completely stock, haven't had bootloader unlocked or installed any custom roms. Not sure if anyone else has been having these issues, I'm trying to figure out if my phone is defective or if the xperia plays have crappy bluetooth or maybe just the stock bluetooth is crap.
Anyways, I use my bluetooth to connect to the car stereo and stream music. The bluetooth on this phone never connects automatically. Sometimes it will connect for phone audio but not for media audio, I always have to go in and adjust it, or turn off bluetooth and turn it back on to get it to connect. Sometimes it just refuses to connect for anything until I turn bluetooth off and back on. My old Samsung Vibrant worked perfect, connected instantly no issues at all, even the Iphone 3gs had no issues and connected instantly. Another thing if/when the phone does connect, it takes awhile to connect, usually at least 30sec to a min before it connects.
Anyone have any suggestions or think the bluetooth radio on the phone may just be defective?
My issue today is that my bluetooth will not pair properly and remember its configurations. My initial pairing on my phone with my car's flexsmart X3 works perfect, however when I turn off my bluetooth on the phone or turn off my car and turn it back on the phone will still see the flexsmart and it will say it is paired but I get no sound. Upon further investigating I find that in the options setting that neither the call nor music tick box is checked. If I try to tick them it will think for a few seconds and then gray out and do nothing again.
I never had a problem with my note 2 or my temp replacement evo 3d remembering these settings. All I would do with those phones was pair it once and then any time I hopped in the car I would just turn onm,y phone's bluetooth and go. Now with my note 4 I have to unpair and repair the devices each and every time which is a huge pain. Once I have initially paired the bluetooth though it will stay connected without any interruptions. Also pairing for me is really fast and only takes a minute or so. My problem is that again instead of my phone remembering the current device settings that it is paired with, it will forget to associate it with calls and data after I turn the bluetooth off and then later back on even though the phone will still remember it is paired with the car bluetooth.
I have read a little bit that this is due to samsung note 4 using a newer bluetooth standard than its predecessors. Is there anyway to circumvent this issue by maybe rolling back the bluetooth drivers or something? I even thought about creating a tasker profile to help with this but still I would have to physically press the search button on the flexsmart eachtime.
First world problems I know but it gets a tad annoying having to unpair and repair my phone each and everytime I hop in my car to go somewhere if I want to listen to my music. Any and all suggestions would be great.
Also right now I am on a sprint network rooted stock 5.0.1 if that helps any
I've got a strange bluetooth issue that started after the latest update. It happens with the sync in my wife's car and the HomeSpot bluetooth receiver in my car. It is mostly random, but I can count on it to happen every day immediately when I leave for work.
The phone will connect to bluetooth just fine and start playing music from google play. Then sudden the audio stream will switch from bluetooth to coming out of the phone speakers. When this happens the phone is still connected to bluetooth, just not sending the audio any longer. To fix it I have to disconnect from the bluetooth device and reconnect. It is starting to get real annoying, and I've already tried clearing my cache to no avail. I also tried turning off bluetooth in the location scanning settings and that didn't help either. Anybody have any clue?
Just had the same thing happen with my BT headset. Weird, I read this thread and said I never have issues, and then it happens...
Agree.. Also I am receiving a 'screech' noise sometimes while the music is playing..
So it looks like this is related to cast changes. When the audio starts coming through the phone instead of the car stereo the phone is still connected via bluetooth. If in google play music I stop casting and then select to start casting on my BT device again it starts working without me having to turn BT off and back on.
This is really annoying and I've sent google feedback via the play music app.
I'm also having weird Bluetooth issue. It sometimes doesn't turns off from notification screen. I've to manually go to Bluetooth settings and turn it off from there.
Hi all
I'm having this strange (but really frustrating) Bluetooth bug on my Motorola Moto X Style (XT1572) with Android 6.0. I already tried restoring the Phone to factory settings and without any extra apps but the issue persists. It just suddenly started happening (about a month ago).
Nothing has changed in the bluetooth devices that I use with my Phone. I connect my car using Bluetooth and if I'm not in my car, I use a Bluetooth hands free kit to make and receive my Phone calls.
About a month ago my bluetooth started acting weird. When I'm in my car and want to make a Phone call, it starts the call on my Phone but then my car says that something went wrong and the call couldn't be initiated, although the call is continued on my phone. I do receive my text messages on my car and can also sent them but I'm unable to make/receive Phone calls.
When I receive Phone calls, they don't come up on my cars media. However, my Phone says its using Bluetooth for the call and the bluetooth connection is up. When I'm having this issue, I can not disconnect the Bluetooth connection with my car on my phone. It refuses to disconnect and I can not switch to any other Bluetooth device. The same goes when I'm having the issue while connected to my other Bluetooth hands free kit. In the advanced bluetooth settings of the bluetooth connection on my Phone, I also noticed that when the issue occurs all Bluetooth functionality is checked (eg. 'Media audio'), except 'Phone audio'. 'Phone audio' is not checked and it refuses to check it (however it's not greyed out). When I tap on 'Phone audio' in order to enable it, you see it getting checked for like a few microseconds and then it instantly gets unchecked again.
The only remedy I found is to power off and start my Phone again. Very frustrating if you want to make a quick Phone call and that you have to wait 5 minutes each time or if someone is trying to reach you but they can't hear you and they keep calling back while you try to press the power off button and drive your car . Why do I even have Bluetooth .
I've noticed that when I keep my Phone powered on at night and let it charge, the issue is present. If I recharge my Phone while it's powered of, pull out the power plug and then power on the Phone, there is no issue.
It seems to me that it has something to do with the update process...
Any idea how I can solve this issue?
Previously I did had other bluetooth issues like sudden switches between the phone's speaker and the bluetooth hands free (without any clear reason), it would just switch the bluetooth audio off and on again. So imagine, I'm calling someone with my hands free kit and suddenly the sound is gone. I grab my Phone and hear the other person talking, I continue the conversation using my phone's sound, then the sound is gone again and I need to continue with my handsfree. Other times when the phone said it was using bluetooth audio, it actually wasn't and I had to select 'Phone speaker' and then bluetooth audio again to get audio via bluetooth.
I don't think it has got anything to do with my car's bluetooth or my handsfree because the handsfree works flawlessly with my laptop and the car's bluetooth also works perfect with my partners Phone.
I have the same problem as you and i've never found a solution someone could help us please
Anyone?

So basically since the December security update that was released in February? Yeah, we know... some people seems to have issues with Bluetooth since then, but some people don't, not sure exactly why. In the Lenovo support forums there is even some mention of Bluetooth issues (although they come short of admitting there is a problem) on the latest update.
If a factory reset doesn't cure it, then you just have to wait... we don't have the factory firmware images for the latest release to reflash and downgrading is a questionable solution at best. Hopefully the factory images become available or the Nougat update actually gets released and one of those fixes it.
Sorry, that's the best I have for you... which is basically nothing.
