Hello guys, I have problem, recently root my phone and I installed custom rom. My problem is that changing the band lte before the entire operation choose his mode service by Samsung via USSD code * # 0011 #. I`m sadly, but after installed rom and root, samsung service code does not work anymore, since this functions only work on its original software. It can be somehow overcome. Because I know that LTE connects me with the automatic 2100 mhz because it is more stable, but I would like 1800 mhz because it is faster for me.1
some information about my phone
1. Galaxy s4 i9506 (ks01ltexx)
2.Android 6.0.1
3.Phone buy in poland and working with polish operator
4.Phone is rooted
5.I installed this room:

i9508 is the China Mobile model of Galaxy S4, which supports GSM and TD-SCDMA.
A group of people made a custom ROM to enable WCDMA on i9508.
Seems i9508's got both WCDMA and TD-SCDMA support, and WCDMA is disabled by firmware.
However, people also report that they see "i9505" on those i9508 they buy. So, maybe i9508 is just a software-modified i9505 on which WCDMA and LTE is disabled.
So, anyone knows if i9505 also has both WCDMA and TD-SCDMA on it?
P.S.
Refs from a website called tphone8... sorry i can't add outside links.

Yes, I9508 = I9505 + custom firmware
As far as I know, Snapdragon 600 supports WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/LTE, and someone said it can be hacked via *#1111#

What I am looking forward to is unlocking TD-SCDMA on the coming Galaxy S4 with Stock Android.
And it's also DUOS!

100% sure this will be possible?
My next phone needs to be TD-SCDMA enabled, have all gapps (so not a chinese version) and hopefully stock Android.

I have, and I can't find an answer to my question on the page, it just says;
There’s another Chinese model, the I9508, which is a single-SIM Galaxy S4 with a Snapdragon 600 chipset. This one is China specific and differs from the I9505 in its TD-SCDMA support (the 3G tech in China).

Will it be possible to enable TD-SCDMA on any i9505, and specifically on the the stock android S4?

Some people tried to raise money to buy 2 i9505s for the development. However, it doesn't seem promising. Only a few people donated, so the total amount will hardly reach the target. On the other hand, ROM makers already built ROMs for i9508 which enables the phone to use WCDMA instead of TD-SCDMA.
So there is no proof that an i9505 could support TD with some software level hack, even though the two models share the same hardware (or almost the same, i don't know).
So, for now, the only choice for TD seems to be i9508. I believe the CM-based ROMs for i9508 are coming soon (maybe they already built one).
They did.
Guys, I have a GT-I9508 and flashed into custom rom via Touchwiz UI and everything works very well. Once I used to have some wifi and bluetooth issues but I solved it with latest official rom.
Here is what I've done:
1) I flashed the GT-I9508's software with the latest official rom. (This updates the baseband of the device which means wifi and bluetooth connection issues are gone)
2) I flashed Omega v42.1 Android 5.0.1 Based on firmware XXUHOF2 ( which you can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2253528 )
Now, I have GT-I9505's rom runs on GT-I9508 without any restrictions even Google Products.
Regards.

any updates on this? I just have may Note 3 2 days ago, and I'm having problem with weak sigal on TM/Globe.
Can it possibly root and flash a custom rom, I'm thinking to have it on Cyanogenmod ROM
First, check that your SIM/Phone provider offers 1. LTE 2. LTE in your area
Secondly, If your phone is a Korean Original, I dont think it will be global-ready... you may have to update the modem & CSC in order to receive the 4G/LTE bands that you are after.
Third, check the reception bands of your phone model and check that your provider/country uses those 3G/4G/LTE bands. (eg: 700MHz, 750, 850, 900, 1600, 1900 etc)

I have had a brief look in my files and dont have your models firmware or modem to send.. I am not sure if SM-N900L has cross-compatibility with SM-N900S for example, I recall something like that or vice versa..
There are a few options;
- Find and download the firmware appropriate.
> samsung-firmware.org
> Try connecting phone at desktop with Kies, this model may have an update per your area of the globe.

unfortunately there is no available stock firmware for n900L...but it's the same specs with n9005. so i guess i won't be havingg a problem with that stock firmware.
I'm currently running CM13 in my n900L, the rom was for n9005 and other Note3 with the same specs as Snapdragon800 chipset and Adreno GPU
It's work for me, i'm use ALL Band
Thanks bro :good:

Glad that you sorted it out.
Hello everyone,
A Note 4 N9108V end up to my hands, but after using it i realised it cannot properly operate in my network.
It is a snapdragon variant, single-sim version for China Mobile, has lot of Chinese stuff totally useless if you are outside China and does not have Google apps also.
I manage to root the device, install custom CWM recovery, install a MIUI7 ROM that is quite good, install Google but still have problem with 3G coverage (and LTE ofcourse since in China LTE is different than EU)
I have 3G coverage, but if i will move to another location i will not be able to make calls, and i will also appear as unreachable if someone is calling me. Also data connection will not work. Later, it may work correctly for a while.
In GSM mode is working perfectly
I took it to a local repair center to check for hardware problem, they say that it is probably the baseband (modem) software that is designed specific for the China Mobile network, or there is a bug.
I tried all the available official ROMs and modems for this device (4.4.4, 5.0.1, 5.1.1) but nothing improved.
The only thing i manage to do is to have this amazing phone working only in GSM mode....
It is like having a Ferrari with pedals.
I am thinking if it is somehow possible to load the modem file for the EU model (N910F), and this may "unlock" the needed frequencies to operate correctly. Or even, if it possible to load the entire N910F or similar non-branded Note 4 formware to the phone, since i suppose the hardware is the same.
I tried to load this modem file and the n910F firmware with Odin but is not accepted, the procedure failed.
Any ideas, proposals etc?? (except of hammering the device, this will be my last option)
Thanks in advance
Hello,
I got a S4 and it had a Chinese modem number (ZHUFNB3), I don't recall whether 4G was working there or not on android 4 but what I did was flash crDroid 7.1.1 and kept the same modem, 4G and 3G was not working here, only 2G. Since I live in Albania, I supposed that it's no wonder that the 4/3G was not working with a Chinese modem, so I downloaded an stock firmware built for Albania well Hungary actually (XXUHOJ4) but it started downloading those Vodafone bloatware in my language so it's good. Problem is, the 4G is still not working and the APN is configured correctly. What could be the cause of this? Could it be that I need to take it where I bought it and have those guys change the entire board?
Thanks in advance!
What is the phone's model # in download mode? Does the model # in download mode and imei match the model # and imei on the label under the battery?
Hi All.
I have SM-N910F samsung galaxy Note 4. But the installed firmware is SM-N910L. As a result, i am loosing many functionalities on the phone. For instance, my phone does not support UMTS 900 frequency for 3G since the SM-N910L variant (Korean) does not have. And SMS delivery report does not work, I can not even swith between 2G and 3G, the phone does not have calculator, soud recorder, i cannot write long messages...
I can install some of the missing apps actually. However the missing services are making me crazy like the 3G frequency. (SM-N910F, the Europe variant, supports this frequency but the "L" does not. and my phone will not discove the 3G network at all when i go in areas where 3G is deployed on B8 or UMTS 900) I tried to flash it by SM-N910F using Odin, but never succeeds. But i can flash it with what ever version of SM-N910L. I cannot even root the phone.
Now my question is that is there any way to change the firmware into SM-N910F? Normaly the phne is SM-N910F but when i get in to Odin mode the installed is SM-N910L. So the hardware is SM-N910F and the firmware is another.
Thanks.
perhaps you phone was repaired using n910l motherboard which price is lower than n910f.

looks like your phone is a refurbished and they made software it look like n910f because n910f has more value in europe .
it is very easy to fake software actually even i can do it so whenever you buy a phone just go to odin download mode and check the model there in download mode thats the true model of mother board.
you cannot turn your phone into n910f since n910f is snapdragon model and n910l is exynos completely different hardware but you can turn your n910l to n910c international model by following guide below.
you will get fully converted N910C but still you cannot unlock LTE bands since n910l does not support many bands in Europe YOU WILL GET HSPA 3G OR HSPA+3.5G MAXIMUM.

DONT EVER TRY TO FLASH ANY N910F OR ANY OTHER MODEL FIRMWARE VIA ODIN YOU CAN BRICK YOUR DEVICE PERMANENTLY
