Hi All,
My yureka phone network is good outside in some places.
in my home the signal bar is poor, any suggestion to boost the signal.
I checked google, it says to build an external antenna.
any suggestion to do on the phone.
My phone is rooted & installed with new cm-13.0-20160920-Nightly update

Hi,
I have noticed that my 8125 gets pretty poor wireless reception. If I am in a place where my laptop gets a good signal, my phone will have only 1 bar for wifi. When it only has one bar, it takes a very long time to load pages if it does it at all.
Any ideas?
Whats your radio rom version?
Hi guys,
Does anyone know how can I improve my phone's signal? Sometimes it's very low, or oscilating between 1 and 2 bars. This happens at home, at my office, in closed areas mostly. But it's not a network issue, because I have friends on the same network but with different phones and they don't have this problem. I think it might be some code that I can use in the diagnostics screen to improve my signal, but not sure if I'm right.
Thank you.
The later firmwares solves some of the reception problems with the Omnia 7, but it still is a bad phone when it comes to reception and general HW design, unfortunately...
Ok... Here's the deal. I actually have signal but its extremely weak.
IN THE HOUSE ( BEFORE: always signal 3-4bars, NOW: basically no signal) .
OUTSIDE (BEFORE: full bars, NOW : 2-3 bars with an occasional 1 bar)
DRIVING (BEFORE: basically full bars, NOW: fluctuates 4 to 1 bars with various dead spots, which is very uncommon)
Does this sound like a hardware problem, radio rom issue, or something i am completely unaware of?
Im also noticing that my phone is the only device that does not pick up the Wifi signal in the house?
UPDATE: No signal in the house or outside? Data connection is ON.
If i go to SETTINGS then go to MOBILE NETWORKS, it shows that DATA ENABLED is checked.
it could also be a radio problem? try the above solution, if not then we'l proceed in trying to help.
Data Connection is on, BUT no signal reception inside and , now , even outisde the house. No matter what changes i make in "Mobile Networks", nothing changes there. Wifi scanning in the house is non existant but works in commercial settings that have an open source.

You say before and after, but you don't say before and after what. Did you change radio, change ROM, change bootloader etc.? Or has it just randomly started happening?
referring to 7/5/12 and 7/6/12 to now.
Things ive done:
Problem started on previous rom. (coredroid) so i figured i would change roms and radio roms.
installed radio rom 2.15. but with rom change and radio change, still had current problem.
As of yesterday evening it would work somewhat consist when i was outside, but signal fluctuated alot.
The minute i got back into the house, i would lose complete signal. (very very rarely would it get a limited signal)
And today, i have only had signal one time. None outside. Is there a recommended radio rom i should install?
Or is it simply the sim card needing replaced due to abrasion on it. (one is being shipped now)
Trouble shooting #2
Swapped out the sim card and placed in my HD Desire and signal is fine on the HD Desire.
But still highly limited signal when the sim card is placed in the HD2. (basically no signal)
What can the problem be? Faulty antenna? Hardware issue?

Has anyone who uses apps like RF Signal Tracker and Network Signal Info found that the cell ID no longer updates when on the move? The issue started a week or so ago and the only thing I can think of that's caused it is one of the many recent OTA updates to 4.3. I tried a sim card for another network in my Nexus and it persisted, so it's not a network specific issue.
Basically, when I'm driving, I like to use RF Signal Tracker in drive mode to monitor signal strength and cell IDs, particularly if I'm on a long drive for a holiday, etc. I'm now finding that the cell ID remains stuck on a tower I was connected to 15 minutes earlier, despite the signal strength being correctly reported. I find that the issue is reduced slightly if I have mobile data on. It also eventually updates if I'm stationary for minutes.
Is this a radio/modem issue? I know it's trivial, but it's annoying me.

I just flashed 4.2 and the issue disappeared.
Anyone else seen this behavior?
This has happened twice to me now... These are the symptoms:
1. Very poor signal area, phone going in and out of coverage (in someone's house for several hours)
2. Using WiFi, also going in and out of coverage (may not be relevant)
3. Return to good 4G coverage
4. 4G seems to work fine
5. After typically 10 mins or so travelling (or after some event?) the cellular & GPS connections drop completely.
6. Reboot required, then all works fine again
I'm on EE network in the UK
I have noticed all this through my navigation app (TomTom). At step 5 above the status bar still shows the 'GPS active' icon on the top right list of icons and no bars (neither 4G/3G nor 2G) signal strength under these circumstances.
So something is killing off BOTH GPS and cellular radios? Apps (even broken ones) can't do this, can they? So this will be a bug in the OS, right?

I know this is an old post but it is still relevant to any X play users.
Has anyone found a fix for this.
My X play will run for weeks using GPS and various mapping apps without problem and then it will say looking for a GPS fix and the Cell signal has also gone even though I know that a very good signal is available (my work phone is with me on the same network).
The quick fix is to go into the drop down menu on the home screen and turn the location icon OFF then ON, the phone then gets a fix within a seconds (even when travelling) and then in 10 to 20 seconds the 4G icon comes up, first with ! then once it has made a proper connection (IP address I assume) it goes away and all is well.
I guess that the radio driver for the GPS and Cellular side must be interconnected someway or there is a memory issue which is cleared by turning location OFF the ON.
Any thoughts folks ??
The X play is running standard MOTO 6.0.1 android.
Thanks
