Battery percentage - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have done the developer options battery percentage, and dislike it displayed within the battery icon itself. When the battery is a very high percentage and a very low percentage, the numbers are contrast-smart and displayed in the opposite color of the rest of the battery icon. Great and fine when you're above 90% and below like 15%. What about the rest of the middle percentages? They're nigh unreadable unless you really look closely - something counter-intuitive to having a percentage number on there.
Is there a way to make it display the percentage NEXT to the battery icon, the way it displays it in the drop down menu?

For the life of me I don't know why Google doesn't have the option to just have the number show up there. That **** is easy

Battery Icon that shows mA as well

Anyone know of a status bar Battery Icon that also shows drain in either mA or mW?
If not, perhaps someone around here might be interested in creating one as I have looked but cannot find one. (I do not mean a Today Plugin like HomeScreenPlusPlus/BatterStatus)
The idea:
Essentially similar to the WM Battery Icon that is there now with bars showing charge but with added feature of numerals showing mA drain. These numeral could either be overlayed on the icon or squeezed beneath it in tiny font.
The advantage of this arrangement is:
1) it would work with TF3D on a Diamond. This is because it would not be a today plugin. Simpy an alternative to the current battery icon on the Status bar.
2) Would enable user to always see charge remaining and current load.
I like the idea of always being able to see the load on my battery as often I have apps running in the background which are chewing through the battery. Conversely if the mA drain is low I know these apps cannot be running and all is good. Makes for an easy way to increase battery life.
Essentially all the app would have to do is somehow ascertain current drain in mA and display it over the battery bars on the icon. Nothing more. Be great if one of you clever programs could put this together. I reckon it would be popular.
Would any one else be interested in a replacement for the default status bar battery icon that worked like this?
Battery Status is ur best bet

battery status

Are there any hacks/applications out there that will display the battery level percentage in the native battery display in the tor right of the android screen on the status bar?
I've seen battery apps that display a battery indicatior as a widget, or as an additional item on the status bar.
It just seems redundant to show the same info in multiple places...
Any ideas?
No, it's been asked before.
I think some ROMs and themes used to have it. The problem with it was that it only has like 4 or 5 states, so it would be very inaccurate. For example, the real percentage could be 41%, but it would still you show 60% because the range is 40-60% (not sure if I said it clearly).

the battery icon status always full

I used this phone almost for one month and I found that the battery icon status on the top doesn't update. It always show full status even though the battery level is drop down to 85% shown in settings->about phont->battery level.
This problem just start occur from yesterday.
Install "battery indicator" to give you a better info.the icon formula vary for each firmware

The problem is the icon can reflect battery usage in my last one month but now, starting from yesterday, the icon always in full.
There should be something wrong

Is this thing even possible? (battery percentage display)

So I have this terrible drops from X -> 50% and X-> 20% (yes, I am aware of "battery drops explained" topic) and I was thinking if I could get around this false battery percentage display like this:
Let's say I will charge battery to 100%, turn on airplane mode, turn off every data/wifi etc. and just leave it for day or two until it is almost decharged. Then I will take a screenshot of battery usage graph and I make a straight diagonal line through it and see how I would like the percentage to be displayed instead of the real one.
I am not sure if I explained it good enough, but here's the example screenshot for you:

If we could someone force the phone (through apk or some kind of script) to show us te percentage like in the screen above we could AT LEAST have some better battery charge representation and some better knowledge about how much charge is really left. Even with 10% steps.
So to sum up:
1) Realize how your battery is behaving, dropping etc., take your version of battery graph
2) Create 'checkpoints' like in screenshot above and tell some application or script to show you the percentage like described in the screenshot as well
3) We can't get rid of drops on old batteries, so maybe at least we could earn some better % representation
PS.
I found a script that could be useful in my idea:

Any way to remove battery % readout from the AoD

Seeing battery percentages drives me crazy. Is there anyway to remove the battery information or better yet just the % readout?
thanks
I looked everywhere, can't find anything to disable it. In the past hiding the status bar battery percentage hides the AOD one as well, but not this time...
i dont know if this is what your talking about, but try settings, display status bar, then un do the show battery percentage
Bump! I hate seeing the battery percentage every time I glance at my phone.. It makes me obsess about battery life and really distracts me
